Defalt was always my favorite villain in the series, even if he doesn't come back (since a wd4 seems pretty unlikely), he'll stil be the best villain to me and one of my favorite videogame villains. Also, he has my favorite OST in the series too, the WD1 version was the best, but the extra bass version from Legion is also pretty good.
@Shikhar not true, atleast not for me. I appreciate well written characters, even if they are villains. But that doesn't mean that I see them as role models.

The fact he has a voice filter in those scenes but not in the Dedsec initiation I always had a theory that Defalt was hypnotizing or brainwashing people into believing they were him just like we do when we use digital trips and wake up in the weirdest places. But considering the guide saying “He’d upload his brain into a computer if he could.” And the quote, “I am God from the Machine,” makes me wonder if Defalt has turned himself into a computer program. An omniscient god of ctOS constantly watching and manipulating the events of the world. And seeing how Legion is leaving more and more breadcrumbs to Defalt’s existence makes me excited for his possible return.

The strongest hacker in watch dog’s world being undone by a statue falling down and blocking his path leaving Defalt to suffocate felt way way too. Too clean, too easy. Defalt is egotistical but not an idiot. Another sly easter egg was the Defalt shit in Watch Dogs 2. The bag reads Error 404 which of course means missing page, or the page has been moved. A subtle hint that Ubisoft are aware of the fact people doubt his death. Anyways Watch Dogs legion has you hack a ct0S hub to find one of Defalt’s pads. Inside you see mannequins and documents claiming Defalt isn’t dead and is in fact alive. One of the statements reads, “The Mind is controllable and so are you lol.” A hint to Defalt brainwashing or conditioning people to become him or a meta joke about the nature of Watch Dog’s Legion’s gameplay, manipulating and controllinrg people to fullfill Dedsec’s needs. Sometimes to the death. Then you get a message stating Defalt didn’t plan to stick around but he was happy we covered his tracks even though it wasn’t necessary. Whatever the reason it could be possible Defalt is truly dead. Maybe some idolizing hacker took up his mantle. Or perhaps considering Broca Tech, maybe Defalt has uploaded his consciousness. Whenever we saw Defalt in Watch Dogs 1 his giant face loomed above him in most appearances almost as if Defalt were a god pulling the puppet strings on his double. A lot of people seem to ignore that but Defalt obviously has some connections with religion, seeing himself as a God. I wouldn't be surprised if he had had something to do with Rodentia Academy. I find it funny to me that I shot him so many times and blew him up because he pissed me off in the chase from the main game, but here he is alive.
As we see in Bad Blood DLC, it was actually a decoy wearing Defalt's mask while real Defalt was hiding under the stage after he closes the lights.
