When Loreta Frankonyte and I got the call about Minks and Orchid, we were told that their owners abandoned them and drove away. Minks had a giant tumor and hundreds of ticks and fleas, and so did Orchid. The two females were so hungry and they followed us to the Hope For Paws vehicle so we can get them to a much better place :-)

A young family with small kids = lots of cuddles.
That father is so cool to be teaching his children such love and compassion. You could see how happy and grateful the dogs were by the end of the video. I currently have 24 dogs that nobody wanted and it's true that you save them and they save you right back.
24 dogs? That’s a *lot* ! How do you house, feed, etc them all? I’m not trying to cast aspersions on your doggo parenting- I am genuinely curious! 🐶👍🏻❣️
Please create a trust or an adoption plan so that if anything happens to you they will be taken care of. If you have family, put it in your will that the inheritance hinges on the proper care and feeding of your little ones, and contact a few reputable 501c3 dog or pet rescues to arrange an assistance plan for your family should they need to find them new homes. A rescue will know how to vet adopters properly so that they will be safely ensconced in loving forever homes. Also, a good rescue will draw up a contract with adopters stating that, if for any reason they cannot care for them, the rescue will take them back. You will probably have to find more than a few willing rescues for that amount of dogs. With any luck the help will not be needed, but a backup plan is always the safest bet.

It's not always for self recognition or to brag.
Sometimes it actually spreads the spirit of giving and inspires others to donate and give too.
I'm sure Dennis is just impressed with this organization so much and is the reason why he wants to say that he donates to them. He's just happy about doing it. Nothing wrong in that.

A lot of these dogs get misplaced due to the death of their owner or being placed in a nursing home. Very sad that these beloved pets can fall through the cracks so easily.

@@gialovelycelebgossipthrift3709 they didn’t say. It looked like the lipoma my Molly had, only a bit bigger. Exact same place though. Apparently they’re fairly common. Funnily enough, Molly looked a lot like Orchid so I got a Molly memory from each of them!

My tears turned to a smile when I saw a definite SMILE on Mink's when asleep. Further happiness to learn Mink n Orchid were adopted TOGETHER!!! Just love your rescues n thank YOU for your dedication.

Watching Minks sleep so soundly and peacefully to the point where she was practically, comatosed caused me to tear up. I can't even begin to imagine the relief she must have felt being free of all those ticks and fleas sucking on her causing so much misery. I can't imagine how it must have felt to always have to sleep with one eye open, never knowing if you're going to be attacked or chased away. Finally she was able to sleep knowing she was completely safe.
It was so wonderful to see Minks and Orchid get adopted together. They both look so happy and well cared for in their new forever home with a nice big yard to run around in.
Thank you and thank you again for what you do for these in a sense, voiceless victims of human cruelty and callousness.
Minx looks so adorable in the after adoption shots of her trying to run and just bouncing along like a little fat short sausage on tiny legs...they are so so so so happy look at them!!

Eugh, it sounds like poor Minks had stick-tight fleas, they embed themselves like that. How anyone could stand to abandon a sweet little senior dog like that is just beyond me. I'm so happy her tumor could be removed and that she and Orchid were adopted into a wonderful forever home together.

Last year in maybe around September or october. Me and my family were leaving a parking lot. We were then turning left the we saw a little white matted dog with long hair running on the side walk. So we made our dad stop the car, then me, my mom, and my brother went out and followed it. We assumed he was very smart cuz he wouldn’t cross the street or anything. So we kept following him. At one point he stoped and barked at us, then he went on his way again. But then he went into a neighborhood. He went to a front of a house that surprisingly had the same breed as him. So then they started barking at each other, then the owner lady came out. We asked if it was her dog, then she said no. We were then able to corner him in some plants, then my mom picked him up. We then walked all the way back to the car. We took him home then we still had a little cage thing that we had for our little bald chihuahua, but it sadly past away about 6 years ago I’m guessing. We then put him in the little area then we washed him. We went to the store to get him stuff. We were at the store then my dad texts me saying that he jumped out of the area and went next to his bed. I told my mom and we just started laughing and told my dad to put him back in and stay with him. We got home and I took a bath. Then I come out with a towel in my hair then he just starts barking at me. So I get scared then my moms says he doesn’t recognize me. Then a week has past by and my mom has already gotten him groomed and saw if he had a microchip. He didn’t. So my mom posted on Facebook a before and after photo of him on a certain page. Then my moms friend started sharing it. I told my mom I wanted to keep him. She said she’ll give it a week and if nobody claims him we’ll keep him. So I got excited. But then I told her what happens if they fake it. Then she said she wants photo proof and their name to see if they respond back. So another week went by and we named him Rocket. And now as I type this.... he is now sleeping next to my bed right now. He is truly a special dog. He is our protector, and family member. Although, it’s hard for him to make new dog friends. I have a German Shepard named Sherlock. They kinda get along if that’s a word... He isn’t really a guard dog because he has ADHD and because he it so sweet! Rocket acts like a cat almost! He lays on his back, feet laid out, and more! Who would’ve known there was a dog like him!

Minks IS a senior. Even under normal circumstances they sleep for most of the day. I'm happy that she was adopted together with Orchid.

What beautiful, precious doggies. It was so sweet how Orchid made sure that she didn't leave Minks behind on the way to the van. Was the tumor benign? I am so happy they were adopted together.
Tumor was removed, but there's nothing in the video to indicate whether it was benign or not.
Further down Hope for Paws notes that not only was the tumor removed but it was also benign. Hurray!!

Oh, thank you, God, and Hope for Paws! They were adopted together! You can tell those 2 wouldn't want to be separated. Thank you, wonderful and blessed new dog parent! She was clean, fed, happy, loved and could finally trust that she was being cared for, that's why she was sleeping so soundly. So happy they got adopted together. :)
