I seriously can't believe this is a legit video, for 1988, I mean fuck, I was a HUGE ministry/revco/skinny puppy/lard/skrew/1k HDJ's/skatenigs/pailhead/dead kennedy's fan. This is a serious, SERIOUSLY classic fucking gem man. This is awesome. Thank you for sharing this. Lol, this is amazing. "I've got my pride" "Superiority" "Superiority complex in the first degree" "God bless... America"
@AustinKronix I agree, the speed anti-Bush metal albums are not coming close to those great times when Al surrounded himself with great musicians and brought so many great songs. His latest collaborators are of much lower level of creativity.
I totally agree. I first got into Ministry when Twitch came out, and it's still my favorite of their albums. I had a friend who saw them play at Medusa's here in Chicago back then...I always wonder how I missed that! I did see Ministry play at the 2nd Lollapalooza (when Psalm 69 was out). It was good (Al was angry that the crowd started throwing big sods of grass/mud at the stage...lol) but they played nothing prior to Land Of Rape & Honey. Shame...
Al's voice is so good here, the original done by Ian Mckaye is barely missed (although Ian rules & I would kill to see a Pailhead reunion) Uncle Al definitely owns it w/his vox on this cover of his own side-project...wow, dat's so Avante Garde!!
This show at the Ritz was crazy!!! I was standing at the front row, nearly got crushed to death. My friend Lori lifted me up to a bouncer, who pulled me out of the chaos! Not a good concert experience for a 22 year old skinny female. LOL Good show though, from what I remember.
Go Jump wish i coulda been there.... i was six. i was a 90's music fan until i discovered skinny puppy in 2000, 2001.... then i realized the 80's made the 90's mysic i loved possible... been a fan ever since. maybe check out skinny puppy dolce vita 1986 vids on youtube...?
@@highlow1212 I don’t think, yeah, you don’t think. Mary, Maaaary, come out, come ouNO…LIAR’S. Kevin liked the element, immersed on dark stages with smoke machines blowing everywhere. during late 80s and early 90s Ministry's setlist mostly consisted of not only the songs taken from The Land... and The Mind... but also a few Pailhead and RevCo covers. I'm not saying I disagree with you, me too want to see or hear songs from Twich to be played live. Moreover I can't find Golden Dawn, TV II or Burning Inside live versions. I'm not sure if tracks like Cannibal Song or Never Believe was played live. I keep on looking
Ok, judging by Al's hair was this a ministry song prior to I bookan and the forming of pailhead? Surprisingly good sound Quality. Love the seemingly random kick drum and tom rolls!
Great stuff! One question, if you have this complete show, did they play any of the "Twitch" material live? I'd love to see that. There's virtually nothing to be found on You Tube live from Twitch (since we all know Al would never play his earlier material again after this period). Thanks!
the saddest part is that TWITCH was one of the greatest Ministry albums. The songs on that album are amazing songs! Ministry's last tour was shit! i left before it was over... It wasn't even Ministry...This is Ministry!!! these 88 shows w/ OGRE!!! i love it! (it probably didn't help that they only played anti-Bush Bullshit speed metal songs) (and it didn't help that MESHUGGAH opened for them...the heaviest band on earth...) well the music will live on forever...

God I loved Skatenigs! "Stupid people shouldn't breed" is a classic!
It just doesn't get better that this!

Holy shit....this is beyond awesome.
I've never heard this song live in 9 concerts though none b4 1995.
i so want these drum samples
Great quality sound here for such a old fan video.

Wow. Wish I could have gone to one of these early gigs.

Great song, awesome cover... Pailhead!!
so amazing!! thankyou!
ahhhh...when they still had it!
this music is so good
My god. Just when I think I’ve hunted down everything on early ministry this shows up. Now, what else do you have, sir?
Well GOTHDAMN! PhuKING Awesome! 🤘🏽
I have the original 7"...I wish Al was singing on it, this is soooo much better.

You're right, I just meant a cover in the sense that Ian MacKaye had done the vocals for Pailhead.
..søt sang,liker den meget godt.
Jeg også, min kjære skandinaviske venn
@bizarro999 its done and available on the 13th planet records
@j37h3r Why woudl they play only one Pailhead song and neglect the others?
"Don't Stand in Line" is a classic.............better than "No Bunny".
Don't believe everything you read. There's no bunny, I promise.
@iliadav My copy arrived this morning :)
fuck I remember this show - i was the driver that night.
Was there more pailhead at this show?
This was pailhead, no?
@russiaparussia Yes, I suppose ought to be posted...perhaps I will get the gumption to do so now that you asked...
No, sorry. RevCo tho...I should get to posting that soon.
Its Pailhead cover
hahha i was probably at this show...
I doubt it disco boy.
dont forget about Ian makkay....is that the right spelling?
@iliadav Hate Bush, but couldn't agree more.
Agreed.. this is on a totally different level than the speed metal shit they play today.. They aren't even that good at it.
Bulldada!!!
In case of sonic attack..
Working on a "No Bunny" cover, done in this style. A billion times better than the original, IMO.
