I suspect I may have scleroderma, you gave really good information, but I'm kinda depressed with what you said. Am I fucked if it's effecting my lungs? Is there anything I can do ?

So tomorrow I have my first term exam in Rheumatology. This is my last semester in Med School before graduation and I am so sad that I just found your channel! You would have made my time in Med School so much fun than what it was. At least I could find you before starting my internship rotation. Thank you so much! Keep it going, Medicosis!
I'm a dental postgrad student trying to understand the pathophysiology of diseases for my exam. So far this is the best video explanation that I could find and for the first time, I don't get bored. This is like listening to an influencer on social media, lol. Thanks bro.
thank you for the easy informative videos, they turned a very complex subject into an easy-understanding one. This is perfect timing for SSc, please release the next video soon . thank you!
I just watched a movie with the mother having this and 1 month later my friend gave me news that she had schleroderma!! She died after 2 years, she had a hard time breathing.
I stopped going to Doctors & testing because these.Doctors don't know anything about Scleroderma. You have taught me more in these videos then what the doctors told me when diagnosed with Scleroderma❤
It's a terrible disease.😢 I pray for a cure or at least better treatments to stop the fibrosis. I hope pharmaceuticals support much more for research. 🙏🏼🕯️⚕️
I tested positive for ADA and anti centromere. I don’t have any signs of CREST, except I have GERD (which lots of people have anyways), so my understanding from watching the videos is that I wouldn’t actually have a diagnosis of CREST then. What I don’t understand is if it means later in life I’m guaranteed to get CREST. Or could it be I always have the antibodies but never actually get the disease?
@@bughesamiombu2909 Actually, I’ve been to the rheumatologist since posting and have a 6 month follow up next month. He did an exam for signs of CREST and an x-ray. No signs. He’ll do another exam at my next appointment and another in 1 year. If no signs of anything developing, I’m instructed just to get in touch if I notice any changes. He said the same thing basically. I could develop the disease at any point in my life, or never at all. No way to tell.
@@bughesamiombu2909 I’m really hoping too. My doctor gave me a test I can do myself to see if I can open my mouth wide enough to fit three fingers stacked. I also know to watch my fingers in the cold for signs of raynaud’s.
Very informative videos for scleroderma and the issues that go with it. My only thing is that you can be a little less cartoonish and just say what you're saying without the nonsense. I'm 38 with 2 boys in elementary and middle school and it's hard to find a proper video on explaining what their father is going through. Thank you
Can you explain adenocarcinomas a video or reply this comment Are they adenocarcinomas aggressive in any part of the body the same or not? What's the treatment for adenocarcinomas? How do adenocarcinomas metastasis? What is the aggressivety in each type?
It really depends on the type of carcinoma. There are some general rules: 1. Adenocarcinomas are cancer that -when metastastasize- have a predilection to spread via lymph and lymph nodes. 2. They can arise from glandular metaplasia (e.g. Barret esophagus).
@@MedicosisPerfectionalis i mean why they are so aggressive when they are on pancreas and lung but in breast and prostate they usually aren't so aggressive
Because they are different cancers. Adenocarcinoma is not a single disease. Think of it adenocarcinoma as “A tall person”...It’s a statistical category, not just one actual person.
@@MedicosisPerfectionalis I know that but it is from the same cell and in prostate you live even 2 years and it may not metastasis but in pancreas it metastasis everyone in a like a month as it is the second most aggressive cancer
The Ayurvedic approach from Planet Ayurveda has helped me manage my scleroderma effectively. My skin texture has improved, and my overall pain has lessened significantly.

There are some questions we rheumatologists can't answer.
Is there a history of rheumatic or autoimmune disease in your family ?

Isn’t TGF beta anti inflammatory tho ¿ and this is an inflammatory condition
TGF-beta stimulates macrophages, lymphocytes, and fibroblasts.
