- A tribute to Glen Campbell from the 2017 Targhee Music Camp. Instructors Molly Tuttle, Sierra Hull and Courtney Hartman perform "Farther Along" in tribute to the late artist.
Targhee Music Camp is 4 day music camp held every August at Grand Targhee Ski Resort in Alta, Wyoming.

I remember listening to the congregation sing Farther Along( a capella) in the little one room Baptist Church on top of the mountain in Leslie County KY when I was a child.

It is unusual for Molly and Sierra to sing without their instruments, but it has a very good atmosphere.
The very beautiful number of Glen Campbell is blessed by the beautiful singer.

Three masters of their instruments and a nice rendition! Not sure why the description speaks of this performance as a tribute to Glenn Campbell.
Because it was for him it was right after his death, and he was a good christian despite some of his struggles with substances.he would have loved it.

Love this. But this gospel song is traditional, let's not associate it too strongly with Glen Campbell alone. BTW, it's wonderful to know young folks are keeping this music alive and fresh.

It's a wonderful tribute to Glen Campbell by these ladies and I believe they chose this particular traditional gospel song because it represented their emotions and feelings regarding the recent news. What a great treat to see three instrumental virtuosos singing beautiful harmony with one guitar accompaniment. Very unique opportunity to experience in a small and intimate setting. Yes, but from comments I'd seen on this post, it seemed there was a danger of this song being thought of as a Glen Campbell song, as happened with John Hartford's "Gentle on My Mind."
Glen was know to be a christian and it is tradition to sing such songs to honor the dead glen or not.i hear such songs at every funeral i go to.
I thought, "Like nobody plays bluegrass on an archtop," and, whatdoyouknow, I was wrong.
