I love this haircut! It’s been my style for most of my life until the past 10 years or so when it seemed like the only hair style anyone knew how to do was a bob or just cut it straight across and put some vertical curls/waves in it. As a woman in her 50’s who has a lot of hair follicles neither option works for me. I’ve even gone to each salons webpage and looked through the pictures they post to see if they have a variety of hair styles represented. You would be surprised how many just show the same style that I mentioned above. Frustrating
Come to Raleigh, NC. I'll give you this exactly haircut. 😅
@@dvalerio2412gosh I wish! That would be a long day trip from Florida ☀️😅
Is there anyone in the Tampa St. Petersburg area in fl who knows how to do these cuts?so frustrating! Beth
I LOVE 80’s Hair!
Beautiful haircut.thanks so much
Thank you m
I’m 61 and no one knows how to as I call it feather or shag or anything. They just don’t understand. I’m in Utah and I have tons of this wavy hair that is really hard to control. In my teens I did the Farrah style. I rolled it with hot steam rollers. I always used the steam rollers cuz it tamed my frizz. I tell them to thin it and give me a couple of layers now but they really dont understand what I mean. I have enjoyed watching the 70’s & 80’s styles you have been showing lately.
Look up Jake Thompson Hair, I think he's in Salt Lake. Watch some of his videos.
Kim, I have to tell you, I LOVE your videos but please hear me out.., Turn the carnival music off. It is so distracting and annoying. You have such a nice voice and I truly think you have a great talent to share . I don’t know if this is up to you but I’m trying to be honest not mean at all . Thank you
Thank you for sharing.
Most of the time it’s the way it goes. You always put music to everything that’s just the way majority of the people like it.
I agree with @BarbaraSmith whole-heartedly! Please cut the carnival music. I want to process your thoughts. The music does nothing but distract me from your good content!
Great haircut, I have been wanting this haircut forever.👍😁
Go for it!
@@coach-kimmy I need someone who can cut it like that
I just did the 80's haircut today (the lovely dark haired girl video with the long hair) brought it to my stylist. It's AMAZING!!
Wow
That's Amazing
This is so similar to the butterfly cut!!!
Excellent video Coach Kimmy!!! Love all your videos!
Wow
Thank you so much!
I just need you to cut my hair. You are perfect.

Thank You So Much! 🥰
Thank You So Much! 🥰
Coach Kimmy❤Thank you, you are an artist. Such beautiful work😊
Thank you so much!
Love this haircut ❤
my favorite cut too! Love it! I was always a SHAG girl in the 70's and 80's. And yes - no one seems to know how to cut hair this way now. But my Wavy hair has thinned out so much that I don't think it would work for my hair type now.
Wooow, that’s so lovely
You can still try it out, it’s a lovely haircut 💇
I love this hair cut!!!! I use to have it but hairdresser moved. For the last 10 years I have been trying to find someone to do the 70s shag but no luck. Really love this cut and need to find someone in the Northern VA area that can do this cut just like this.....
Well if you ever come to New Jersey
I would love to cut your hair into the shag
Hi Kimmy, I just recently found your channel. Thank you for your videos. I have been trying to find someone to cut this style for me. I don't want to be vain about my hair but, you just want to feel confident sometimes even though I truly get my self worth from the Lord. I know He loves me even when I'm having a bad hair day have been cutting my own hair for years but I just recently started going to a stylist. I have saved this video. I am going to send it to her. The Lord bless you and keep you and make His grace shine upon you.
Thank you and
I’m
So glad you like my videos and I
Hope they help your stylist give you the haircut you want
I love to watch your videos!
Thank you for your support ❤
You are who hairdressers should learn from.
Thank you ❤
You are such an awesome stylist and person! Love, love, love watching these videos! Thank you!
I’ve just found you and think you are a wonderful stylist and teacher. I’d love to see this cut on fine thin hair. This is the cut I want but I certainly don’t have this much hair anymore. Thanks!
Thank You 😊
Love this !! Thanks for sharing.
Super helpful for me as I gave up on salons here in the UK and still figuring out how best to cut my thick wavy hair. Its a journey! 😂 This was really clear and informative. Thankyou!
Happy to help!
I appreciate your support and if there is anything more you want to learn let me know?
I got one of these in the 90s, and freakin ha8'd it!!! It took so long to grow out!
Wow
You are officially the best teacher on TH-cam! Thank you- this is what I’ve been trying to achieve (self cut) on my own for the past year!
Thank you ❤️
Love this cut! I like it straight not alot of fluff.
❤
I love watching your content and this is what i want 😊great cut
I have always wanted this style . No one , I mean no one in my area knows how to do this .
Yes, I’ve heard this from so many people I feel like they don’t teach the foundation of layers anymore
Great hair
How do I do the Back❤please love this cut
Beautiful
Thanks Kimmy! I cut the front amd sides of my hair but now... How do I cut the back? Is it part 2? Do you have the next video...? Thank you!
Thank you 😊
I have am late 70s have very fine hair can I have a shag layered hair cut style
Sure you can 😊
I live in Burleson Texas my hair stylist is pro cuts and I hope they can cut and style my hair in a shag look and I also watch your videos and I like your hair color
Love this! I have to do myself, grrrr, the length is difficult cuz I let my hair grow to my waist 😢🤪🤦🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️
Is this good on wavy hair
Your work is beautiful but find it a little hard to hear you because of the background music on almost all your videos. Can you turn it down a notch please? Than you.
Will you be posting how to do the back?
But I’d need you to cut it!
I'll love to cut your hair
Where are you located?
661 Broad St, Shrewsbury, NJ United State
@@coach-kimmy I’m in South Carolina……If I ever get to NJ, I’ll look you up
Well, that would be awesome. I look forward to meeting you.
It appears that I can do this cut on my own hair.
Only the front t part though. Since you pull everything forward you can see what you are cutting. Am I correct? I’d like to see how you did the back of hair…
I’m with everyone who commented here. I used to wear the feathered bangs and/or neck framing layers bc the cut is so versatile. even from late 90’s to 2018. Somewhere it got lost through covid. Maybe because of the shut downs, we lost a lot of stylists that knew what they were doing. I wear my hair up now all the time. Or half up. I have thick frizzy hair. Am 56. I did the ponytail cut to get layers around 8 months ago but it needs help. Been to 3 stylists and they only cut perimeter. Unless when I had layers they could follow the pattern. 🫤
I sent a how to video to a stylist. I know they did not watch it OR were to scared to copy it? Confronting is so difficult.
Well, maybe you could give your Stylist this video so she could watch it if she’d be willing, I teach it pretty thorough
@@coach-kimmyI thought the instructions were perfect. I've been wanting this cut also but never get it. I have wavy to curly hair and always thought this style suited my features (small pointy head and my hair is flat on top more curly at the bottom) I always come out looking like a triangle head. It gets puffy and fuller at the bottom. So I need layers but they give me very little. So now I tend to just wear it long so you dont notice the flat pointy top as much as when its cut above my shoulders. I'm going to show this next time I get my hair cut and hope i get what I want.. Thank you!
