      At 9:14 that "rail" was there for Alabama and it was a touchdown if Milroe puts that ball out in front. Curious if you agree.

      I guess my point is that "they took their foot off the gas" comment I agree is overblown but in that first half, when the team is vibing, maybe Milroe is more aggressive and tries to hit that play instead of tucking and running. Maybe thats the conservative mindset? I dunno. Asking for a friend. Not sure.

      To be fair, I think every Bama agrees anything that isn't "force feed the 17y/o or run Milroe," equals "taking the foot off the gas." For a fanbase that's had wayyy more success in football than round ball, they sure want their team to run ISO..

    Why did we as a program get away from running the rock like a true powerhouse team? Our RB's have been getting 120-140 attempts on the high end since the sony and chubb era, during the #1 & #24 our RB's were getting 180-225 attempts per season per back. Without a QB like Bennett we become a one threat unit... if carson curves the rims on his all black limbo before getting on the bus to head to stadium and gets upset, or he just isnt seeing it immediately, we come out flat because the D should be easily prepared to play toe to toe with us earlier in the game while everyone is still fresh. We need to get the ball in #1 hands 15-20 times a game to get him the reps and get his legs conditioned for this Texas game coming up very very soon!
    Also one more thing, until we can beat Alabama with pure dominance and hand this little brother bs talk down to Alabama I do not want to here UGA is ELITE. Alabama is Elite. We aren't but with the right attitude and recruiting we can get there very soon. The excuse, " They got a good football team." or "they're a really good tream" every time we get beat by Alabama isn't cutting it anymore. No doubt they are a good team? Why can't we get to that level? why have they been our only 3 L's in 55 games making us 52-3 with Alabama being the ONLY team to beat us!!!! We beat Alabama with Monken, UGA has never beat Alabama when Mike Bobo was the OC. Dating back to the Mark Richt days which in my opinion is why Mark was fire and was never able to get over that Wall. And since last year it just seems like we are at that wall again. Not sure if we fire anyone, but someone needs to reconsider our game plans and recruiting QB Talent. TO BE ELITE WE ARE GOING TO HAVE TO FIND AWAY TO MATCH THESE MOBILE QB'S GOING FORWARD.

    I don't know about foot off the gas. I just think what worked in the first half wasn't working as well in the second half after Georgia made adjustments. What did work for Bama second half was Milroe to Williams. First half was all DeBoer out coaching Smart the second half was Two elite players making the plays to win the game.

    Interesting observation: If you remove Jalen Milroe's rushes, and Ryan Williams Catches out of the stats, then Alabama only had 253 yards in the game. Much like Florida State last year, Alabama better pray that neither one of those two get a season ending injury, because they are the only difference makers Alabama has this season in EVERY game on offense. And Ryan Williams better watch himself. All this dancing around that he does, someone is eventually going to blind side him and get him hurt. Most show boating WRs like him usually end up getting knocked out of a season that way.

    • @gagemcmanus499
      @gagemcmanus499 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      literally “if i remove the two best players on the opposing team they would’ve performed worse” brilliant analysis

    • @EulogyfortheAngels
      @EulogyfortheAngels ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา +1

      It might shock you to know that 253 yards of offense is A LOT if you remove the best rusher and WR from an offense. There are opponents that Georgia faces that don't even have that many total yards as a full unit. Bama's fast ball has been enough to beat everyone so far - that literally doesn't mean its all they have. That's a deeply irrational take.
      "they are the only difference makers Alabama has this season in EVERY game on offense"
      -Justice Haynes had 102 yards and a TD on 4 carries against WKU.
      -Jam Miller had 140 yards and a TD on 15 carries against USF. He also had 71 yards at 7.9 ypc and a TD against Wisconsin.
      -Bama has 6 different players with receiving TDs. Georgia has 5.
      -excluding Milroe, Bama has 2 RB averaging 8.0 yards per carry (min 25 carries), with longs of 56 and 85 yards. Georgia is the only team that did consistently well against them.
      -Bama's RBs have more rushing TDs than Georgia.
      Why type a paragraph with casual nonsense?

    I think two things can be true...our staff did not take their foot off the gas but naturally Bama players' intensity could have dropped being up 30-7. It does'nt matter, though. These are two elite teams. Bama isn't 28 pts better. And this is coming from a huge Bama fan.
    Great stuff, Brooks.

    5:06 if 0 had went straight on he's coming in untouched. I don't know enough about stunts in football to figure out why he don't just come down. I also love how all the "experts" before the game said you have to blitz Milroe, corners for UGA are to good for Bama's receiving core, and UGA should take shots down field against Bama's young secondary. How'd that turn out? When UGA switched to trying to contain MIlroe, over the top help in the secondary and methodically driving / keeping MIlroe off the field they started to win. I got ripped before the game saying that's what they should do.

      We gave up a 75 yard & 34 yard pass on #12 Humphrey. On offense we had pass plays for 67, 47, 34, 32, 30, & 21 plus Arian dropped a 50 yarder and Carson underthrew another a wide open receiver. Their secondary was absolutely CHEEKS but the problem was our QB was CHEEKS^2. He needs to find a way to play good against good teams. That’s our problem

Definitely think the theme of the second half was Georgia's offensive adjustments and success on fourth down. A team as efficient and talented as Georgia is almost impossible to stop for a full four quarters, especially when they know they have 4 downs to get it.

If Milroe recognizes he essentially has a linebacker on his running back 1v1 up the sideline he’s gone for 6 easily. you gave up 6 bc you were late the first time they ran it. And now you almost gave up 6 again for over committing and not taking into account what coverage your defense is in. 🫣
