I just received one of these. They look way better in person than they do in the video and it feels pretty damn solid. Way less blade play than I expected.
Just letting you know all of these and a ton of more otf knifes on Grindworx are on amazing sales. Dropping from $75-50 down to as low as $25-23. I’m fixing to buy a few.
Ordered the dagger and 1 each of the drops. I love my original Lightning, especially when it comes to admin tasks like opening packages/boxes etc. I have a Benchmade Phaeton that I keep in my pocket for SD and I'll be giving my wife and daughter each a Lightning to keep with them.
I ordered one as soon as I got the email! I absolutely love my lighting otf knives, I've never has any issues whatsoever with any of the ones that I own. I'm super excited about an elite lighting!
@@tiny_a_dog5721 It's essentially the same knife, but I definitely notice that my elite has zero spring twang and there is no rubbing on the blade. My original lighting otf that I have used to heck and back still works absolutely perfect, but the blade looks terrible from all of the scratches that came from rubbing while being deployed. If you don't mind the slight noise of the springs, and some scratches on the blade, then the original will work just fine. Also worth mentioning that the clip on the elite is secured a lot better and does not move. The clip on the original always moves back and forth. I honestly love both of the lighting otfs, I like the original because of the many color choices, and I love the elite because for 5 bucks more it is built a little better. I'm really hoping that the elites start getting released in all the colors. Anyway, hope this helps!

i need parts for my lighting otf. there are two parts, one at each end of the spring that actually hooks the blade and pulls it in or out. i contacted grindworx via email about 5 weeks ago and still havent heard back. i bought about 14 of the original lightning otf knifes last year to give as gifts. the two i kept for my self both broke at the "hook" part on both knifes. they both broke within about 3 to 5 weeks after ownership but under constant opening and closing. i have thought about making new parts for them somehow. i wonder if these elite are built better. maybe i will order one and open it up and shoot a video showing what the differences are.
Instead of two springs I heard the elite only has one spring. I also heard the mechanism inside appears to be polished or more refined. I've had my lighting since March. I've beat the hell out of it and other than the occasional cleaning it works better than ever. My kid bought a cheap little sharpener from Cabela's and put a wicked edge on my Lightning. I love it.
My experience, I think the titan sucks. Maybe because I bought ones with dumb blades, idk. But I am partial to the lightning. I don't care what that blade is made of. It hols an edge. Its not just a replica. Only purchased one elite, so far; a tanto. Much cooler blade, in my opinion; best value.
My titan's also have way more up and down blade play, than any lighting. Titan also has an almost square handle with dumb skateboard tape. Not much of a fan.
My titan started misfiring quickly, and has a lot more blade play. I have had several lightnings for more than two years with no issues other than the finish wearing.
