To those pointing to the platter moving around or not being true, please note that it is not the platter. Rather, it is the Outer Limit ring that sits on the perimeter of the record.
Although it is high quality, it leaves just a bit of play (or room), to ensure that it will fit on all records (with countless millions of records out there, you cannot count on them all being made to exacting measurements).
If the record is warped, then the Outer Limit ring will not sit 100% flush. Yes, it will minimize the warp, but the record will still lift, ever so slightly, the ring, making the rotation appear to be slightly off.
Clearaudio's tables are made to very tight tolerances. I highly doubt that the platter is not spinning truly. Watch again, and focus on the platter (vs focusing on the ring).
Perhaps a flatter record should have been chosen for this video, and the ring should have been better centered on the record.
@HiFi Channel, your video should have shown the record being placed on the platter, followed by showing the ring being placed on the record. This would avoid people that are not familiar with this product from mistaking the the ring for the platter.

I love my thorens td 125 MK2 and the records I have collected and listened to all of these years. This turntable and tonearm system is strangely precise in it's appearance, like laboratory equipment, sharp and sterile and synthetic. It must be like a zen thing to use it, like a ritual perhaps, white gloves and all.

Pretty sure I listened to this in Rotterdam Hi Fi Show, ........Rega had their Planar 3 there too, .the Planar 3 was in a different class.

Pretty nice , but in 2024 any tonearm at $10,000 is a bit too rich for my pocket . Turntable extra .

    Wirklich beeindruckendes Plattenspieler-Set!
Übrigens, welchen Song, welches Album, welchen Komponisten spielt das Video?

The problem is that this level of engineering playback far exceeds that which is used in many mastering suits. If you had a cutting lathe with this level of precision then we really would hear better vinyl recordings.

start watching from 4:20 and you'll see that the platter is pretty excentric. Is it what you call a level of engeneering?

Look at the first comment for so called eccentric movement. Clearaudio use super high tolerance magnetic bearings. Only SME and a few others are comparable.

The old saying "garbage in garbage out" I have owned a few hi-end turntables in my days and although they did a masterful job the limitations were still glaringly obvious the the record's production quality was a short coming that was out of my control. Sure I could spend money on some half speed masters, Telarcs and such but most of my Deutsche Grammophon were still grossly inferior the the tables capabilities.

Old men music? - A gigantic futuristic system - for what? To listen to noise? Playing noise from a record should be like it was meant a hundred years ago, easy - just crank the lever jab the old steel needle in the grove and adjust the speaker cone nothing to it - that is what the noise is waiting for.
