Old men music? - A gigantic futuristic system - for what? To listen to noise? Playing noise from a record should be like it was meant a hundred years ago, easy - just crank the lever jab the old steel needle in the grove and adjust the speaker cone nothing to it - that is what the noise is waiting for.

Pretty nice , but in 2024 any tonearm at $10,000 is a bit too rich for my pocket . Turntable extra .

I've had an original Clearaudio Matrix RCM for well over 10 years now and it's brilliant, noisy on vacuum, but boy dose it clean records. I can't beleive people spend a fortune on Hi Fi and records but skimp on the cleaning of their previous vinyl. My Matrix RCM cost less than 10% of my record collection all those years ago and was money well spent.

Thank you for posting this. I can certainly hear a difference (even on youtube). Personally, I prefer the first (valve) version, however that is just my particular taste.

I was disappointed to find only pictures and a few manufacturers propaganda statements over five minutes of video. . I was hoping to find why hi fi channel considered this the best cartridge ever, which has to be total BS because the performance can only be known through hearing, and human hearing is subject to illusion. I know this cartridge has gold wire, but not why that is important, and the cartridge design is not even discussed. I don't know if this "best over all other cartridges " is an iron, magnet or moving coil design. I have a deep thirst for Hi Fi knowledge, but guess I won't be following this channel, if this video is representative of the level of content.

Well detail demonstration. When classical was out, I was buying the best of what I could find in the 1970s from Previn, Von Karahan and many others which had few pressings and some which are the finest performances ever performed. I really like the German, Austrian, Japanese conductors that let the performance supersede the accuracy of the notes bringing a performance in a lifetime. Ansermet is one of my favorite conductors and I have a record (and CD) of his Scherazade that is so far beyond Reiner that it's embarrassing and when my friends, (girl friends were Really impressed of the emotion) listened it's in a different class. I find Reiner quite accurate but without enthusiasm.

I have some old 78s from Sinatra's first album, Dorseys and so many others. This is the kind of cleaner I could use. If Clear audio had a concentrate my Berkey filter cleans water down to .2-.9 microns.

I love my thorens td 125 MK2 and the records I have collected and listened to all of these years. This turntable and tonearm system is strangely precise in it's appearance, like laboratory equipment, sharp and sterile and synthetic. It must be like a zen thing to use it, like a ritual perhaps, white gloves and all.

I would like to know whether LS 3/5a is available and the price?

Nice video but, the turntable, mainly the tonearm, is a compleat failure. Because of the magnetic bearing the pivot point isn't fixed resulting in flutter on strong modulation in the groove and it result in two arm-cartridge resonant frequencies one octave apart meaning that both or at least one of these resonant points are outside of the disired range of 7 to 12 Hz. I have done this measurment on this turntable, leaving me with one conclusion: this turntable will never perform as it should it doesn't matter what cartridge. Never buy one, if you have one get rid of it.

Thanks a LOT for these video tutorials of how to assemble the clearaudio turntables. This is exactly what I'm looking for. A very detailed video tutorial of the installation. I hope you can do the same as well on other clearaudio turntables.

what expectation you would have ,20 years before l bought a single piece vintage stock for HKD 600 but use low end source to link it, it broke out.

The old saying "garbage in garbage out" I have owned a few hi-end turntables in my days and although they did a masterful job the limitations were still glaringly obvious the the record's production quality was a short coming that was out of my control. Sure I could spend money on some half speed masters, Telarcs and such but most of my Deutsche Grammophon were still grossly inferior the the tables capabilities.

What a poor design. Wide heavy belt to transfer vibrations to the platter. A low mass plinth to do little to absorb vibration. A high mass tonearm which will be sluggish following imperfections in the disk and if it settles low in a rotation, the stylus will dig in the disk for the rest of the revolution. Playing classical music on the background does NOT negate basic physics and practical engineering. OH, even though this is not one of the mag-lev tables which gouge vinyl disk and eat the stylus, it is nevertheless, suffering the same fate of a raised platter. I am extra surprised that Clearaudio has anything to do with such a poor design.

I’m sure the people that buy these shiny expensive baubles don’t go on youtube…….so makes ya wonder why the “ have nots” are being shown it? Perhaps Audio envy is the new marketing strategy
