Those who are considering the top model might as well go for the Swift Zxi (if u value performance and efficiency ) , Altroz or punch (if u value safety) , or grand i10 nios (if u value comfort) All of which are a segment higher !
Ps. to the tata fanboys saying "no safety"
1. u cant get it all under 10 lakhs (u HAVE to sacrifice smthn)
2. the targeted customers of this car are not those who are luxuries enough to trade safety for higher fuel efficiency, all they want is a car that can go from point A to point B as cheap and comfy as possible (which is an upgrade from 4 ppl travelling in 2 scooters)

@@gaganob yes brother in the city 70 % of people use two or three-wheelers. if we see the crash test as a criterion we should stop selling these vehicles. those people just see safety as crash test rating they know zero about safety. for them safety build quality is the same thing. Maruti should improve design to improve the crash tests that is the point.

One thing everyone need to know that the present new model Celerio is 25kgs lighter than the previous model and the new model is built on Heartect platform not the old model. The reduction in weight which is made in the new car is just not to enhance the mileage but also to meet the upcoming CAFE norms and BS-6 second phase norms

Most of the guys buying this car will be the first time car buyers who will be upgrading from a 2 wheeler, and a car is any day a far more safer option than a 2 wheeler no matter how its built quality is.
Secondly most of the Celerio buyers will go for a base and middle variants NOT the top variant which costs 7+ lacs

It seems (Maruti-)Suzuki is going back to 80s. It looks at the most like Nissan Micra, Outgoing Celerio was looking much much better than this new one. Same steering problem is reported by many Ignis owners too
