- I wouldn't say this spot is secret, but definitely a hidden, hard to get to sand bar paradise in the Florida Keys. This unbelievable spot is called Content Keys, located north west of Big Pine Key.
Here are five fun facts about the Content Keys in the Florida Keys:
Secluded Paradise: The Content Keys are a group of small, uninhabited islands located in the lower Florida Keys. These islands are known for their secluded and pristine environment, making them a perfect getaway for those looking to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
Rich in Marine Life: The waters surrounding the Content Keys are teeming with marine life, making them a popular spot for snorkeling, fishing, and kayaking. The clear, shallow waters are home to a variety of fish species, sea turtles, and even the occasional dolphin.
Bird Watching Haven: The Content Keys are a haven for bird watchers. These islands attract a variety of bird species, including pelicans, herons, and ospreys. During migration seasons, bird watchers can spot many different species as they pass through the area.
Accessible Only by Boat: One of the unique aspects of the Content Keys is that they are only accessible by boat. This adds to their charm and ensures that the islands remain quiet and undisturbed, providing a true sense of adventure for those who visit.
Historical Significance: The Content Keys have a rich history dating back to the early days of maritime exploration and settlement in the Florida Keys. They were named during the 19th century, and while they may not have the same historical landmarks as other areas, their untouched nature offers a glimpse into what the Keys might have looked like before modern development.
These fun facts highlight the natural beauty and unique characteristics of the Content Keys, making them a fascinating destination for those looking to explore the lesser-known parts of the Florida Keys.

Enjoyed this video very much! Just officiated the marriage of my daughter to my new son-in-law, who is a charter captain in Key West, specializing in sandbar trips. Performed the ceremony 12 miles off of KW at Mud Key. What an experience!! Paulie
We have great taste because I always come across your channel for places that I love ❤
Cheers my friend! Island time is the best state of mind.
Beautiful place! I’m visiting nearby in mid January and would love to visit that sandbar. What way should tide be to safely visit for an hour or two? Thanks.
Higher tide the better. Some coral heads to watch for coming into that area.
Very nice hideout.🏖️
We spent a week on Big Pine, but to spend two days here it was so nice.

What marina did you use for the boat?
It's our friend's boat. They trailered it down form Cape Coral. The house we rented was on a canal and kept boat there.
You can still see the devastation from the hurricane with the foliage.
