Just been up to Rhymers Glen this afternoon, absolutely gutted! Was there 3 years ago and was mesmerised by its beauty, it had a magical quality about it. Can’t believe that it’s all been felled given the history of Thomas the Rhymer, Sir Walter Scott and Turner they would all turn in their graves if they could see it now! Heartbreaking 🤬
Julie Cherry & Mark Nicol, don't worry folks, it'll be re planted soon enough and within the next 10 or so years it'll be back looking lush. btw Mark, love your videos. keep up the good work.
Was up at Craik today walking the Reivers and Romans route to the Roman signal station at Craik Cross, had a look at wolf cleuch waterfall on the way back and it is impressive, well worth a visit...Mind you the forestry lot need to get their act together to fix the path..great video..
aye there are various tales of ra loch - its meant to be really deep and i think i head something about a tank or military vehicle being in there along wi umpteen empty pale ale bottles fae the partys in the 70's !
must be me as there are only 2 Murdo,s in Gala - me and Wullie Allisons laddie - can't say i remember you but knew Ian Fisher and his bro Bopper sadly taken too young
Am i right in thinking you were friends with Ian , George Paton Dottle etc - as your name is kinda familiar - but ma memory is kinda compromised by combustible consumption !
Fantastic scenery but I think that wolf man was just your uncle Tommy trying to scare you off because because you were getting close to his new hidey hole.
