Honestly, Raven is my favorite character in the whole series now because every Instant Kill shows how happy he is to get hit by it, especially during Jack-O's Instant Kill. His expression during that one is basically like Pat going, "YEAH YEAH YEAH YEAH YEAH YEAH"!

It looks difficult as a spectator. But the game has one hell of a tutorial mode that if you commit to it it should get your feet wet with the game mechanics. Choosing a character seems to be the hard part for some as they really want to play every body.

I love sf, maybe not more than this, but capcom screwed up enough to where for the first time since sf3, fans are worried about the future of the series. And on top of that, while it's a messed up way to say it, capcom's got us hardcore fans by the balls. I'm glad the casuals ran from it, because that'll let capcom know they screwed up, but they'll still take advantage of the loyal fans as much as they can. Arcsys doesn't act like that (nearly as much at least) , so one thing that i feel needs to be done is we gotta encourage people to pretty much start buying games like BB, GG, KI, and KOF and spark those numbers up that way capcom sees it has strong competition and starts to change to actually try to get those fans back. Otherwise, nothing will chamge.
I know nothing about guilty gear but the character designs are amazing. Zato-1 looks coolest IMO because of demon shit. Jack-o is super hot along with other female characters. Bridget is not in the game I miss that shota trap boy.

Even though I know it won't happen, I hope if they do another video of Guilty Gear they practice like a week before hand just to get used to it. I'm usually okay with just jumping into a fisticuff but with games like this, I would love to see them play each other with some experience under their belts. Makes it more enjoyable to me.

This is probably gonna be the most words I've ever typed while not being required to, but I am quite fond of this subject. I suggest you get google open in another tab in-case you aren't up to date on Mobile Suit Gundam, I'll be using that as an example. Blazblue is more "Modern anime" -ish while Guilty Gear is "Old-school anime" (80's-90's) -ish. It's kind of similar to the Gundam franchise in which; SEED is much newer than U.C and the majority of SEED's timeline is garbage animation and story-wise yet is far more popular, (SEED was sort of watchable for about a quarter from the start, but DESTINY ran it even deeper into the ground) while U.C is far more solid in terms of story(and in my opinion, mecha-design too) but it's old animation pushes people away from the great earlier series, so they start at a timeline like A.C(Wing, X) or C.E (SEED). I look at image boards sometimes for...research, and let me just put it like this; Sol Badguy has been around since the late 90's, yet Ragna the Bloodedge has SIGNIFICANTLY more fan-art works than Freddy. It's like how there's more fan-works of the Strike Freedom Gundam (Gundam SEED: DESTINY) than there are of the mobile-suit it gained it's primary feature from; the Hi-Nu Gundam (Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack; Beltorchika's Children). One is new and shiny, so they flock to it regardless of quality. However, with GG's new coat of sick-ass paint, and same-old wacky-yet-lovable cast, I believe it will eventually overtake BB. Especially with Dizzy returning soon.
Marketing. ASW didn't do that much to promote GG back in the day (licensing issues with Sega). When BB was released, ASW had full control over how they marketed the franchise. Also BB was more accessible and had a more modern appeal. Then you a lot of people who started as BB fans long before Xrd so of course they're going to like it more.

I have never played a Guilty Gear game but this is tempting me just for how smooth it looks.
It's a fantastic game, even though it's really deep and takes time to get even mediocre at. If you try out any new fighter, this should be it.

I love sf, maybe not more than this, but capcom screwed up enough to where for the first time since sf3, fans are worried about the future of the series. And on top of that, while it's a messed up way to say it, capcom's got us hardcore fans by the balls. I'm glad the casuals ran from it, because that'll let capcom know they screwed up, but they'll still take advantage of the loyal fans as much as they can. Arcsys doesn't act like that (nearly as much at least) , so one thing that i feel needs to be done is we gotta encourage people to pretty much start buying games like BB, GG, KI, and KOF and spark those numbers up that way capcom sees it has strong competition and starts to change to actually try to get those fans back. Otherwise, nothing will chamge.

I know nothing about guilty gear but the character designs are amazing. Zato-1 looks coolest IMO because of demon shit. Jack-o is super hot along with other female characters. Bridget is not in the game I miss that shota trap boy.

man, the hindsight after 5 years. This game was never huge, but it laid the groundwork for strive, which turned out to be a massive success. Guilty Gear is no longer forgotten next to giants, it is a giant
Boy, do I have some good news for you.
Even though I know it won't happen, I hope if they do another video of Guilty Gear they practice like a week before hand just to get used to it. I'm usually okay with just jumping into a fisticuff but with games like this, I would love to see them play each other with some experience under their belts. Makes it more enjoyable to me.

Seriously, why does Blazblue get more attention when Guilty Gear has been and always will be the superior game?
This is probably gonna be the most words I've ever typed while not being required to, but I am quite fond of this subject. I suggest you get google open in another tab in-case you aren't up to date on Mobile Suit Gundam, I'll be using that as an example.
Blazblue is more "Modern anime" -ish while Guilty Gear is "Old-school anime" (80's-90's) -ish. It's kind of similar to the Gundam franchise in which; SEED is much newer than U.C and the majority of SEED's timeline is garbage animation and story-wise yet is far more popular, (SEED was sort of watchable for about a quarter from the start, but DESTINY ran it even deeper into the ground) while U.C is far more solid in terms of story(and in my opinion, mecha-design too) but it's old animation pushes people away from the great earlier series, so they start at a timeline like A.C(Wing, X) or C.E (SEED).
I look at image boards sometimes for...research, and let me just put it like this; Sol Badguy has been around since the late 90's, yet Ragna the Bloodedge has SIGNIFICANTLY more fan-art works than Freddy. It's like how there's more fan-works of the Strike Freedom Gundam (Gundam SEED: DESTINY) than there are of the mobile-suit it gained it's primary feature from; the Hi-Nu Gundam (Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack; Beltorchika's Children). One is new and shiny, so they flock to it regardless of quality.
However, with GG's new coat of sick-ass paint, and same-old wacky-yet-lovable cast, I believe it will eventually overtake BB. Especially with Dizzy returning soon.
Marketing. ASW didn't do that much to promote GG back in the day (licensing issues with Sega). When BB was released, ASW had full control over how they marketed the franchise. Also BB was more accessible and had a more modern appeal. Then you a lot of people who started as BB fans long before Xrd so of course they're going to like it more.
Watching people that aren't good at fighting games *at all* is painful to me, but here I am.
