  • The Bamboo Veil House is a renovated semi-detached residence in Bukit Timah, Singapore, designed by Wallflower Architecture + Design. Located on a triangular plot with a narrow frontage, the house is wrapped in a continuous bamboo screen that flows around the rounded edges of its façade. The double-skin façade solution offers privacy and solar protection, responding to the dense urban environment and tropical climate. The minimalist design includes a spacious social area on the ground floor, bedrooms on the second floor, and an office and family room in the attic. The bamboo screen, inspired by the façade of the Nezu Museum in Tokyo, provides natural ventilation and passive cooling, highlighting the owner's sustainability and environmental concerns. At night, the house glows like a delicate lantern, with the adjustable screens offering privacy and filtered views as needed.

I love the bamboo and also the curves, but in a curved project every angle is wrong... (right side of the façade first floor)
