    Great demonstration of layering HTV! I recently bought a 9x9 Easypress and the larger tote (among other things) and was so daring if I would be able to put a larger design on the tote than the size of my press. Thank you for explaining this. Now my question is.......can I layer over I fusible ink as well? And can I use an infusible ink design that's larger than my 9x9 press? Thanks for the great videos!

    • @AngieHolden
      @AngieHolden  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can do one larger than your press just as I have done here. I would, however, try to put the colors together and not press one one top of another.

    • @AngieHolden

      This layering technique can be used for as many colors of HTV as you would like. If you print your designs, you would need to research other printing options.

    • @AngieHolden

      It would not adhere well to the rough surface of the glitter HTV.

  • @cathymohr1920

    Great tutorial! Have you layered with patterned htv? Can it be top and bottom layer? Also what do you recommend as a bottom layer htv ? Preferences ?

    • @AngieHolden
      @AngieHolden  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I know with Cricut Patterned they say only use as a top layer. I have seen other people use on the bottom though. I like just regular everyday iron-on for my bottom layer though. I find I don't have to be as cautious with heat with it.

    Does the vinyl come with the clear transfer paper on it, or did you add the transfer paper? I ordered HTV for shirts and the vinyl has a sort of wax paper backing, which you peel away before you iron the vinyl onto the shirt. But that means you can't have a design that has separate peices. What type should I be looking for?

    • @AngieHolden
      @AngieHolden  ปีที่แล้ว

      Most HTV does come with the clear. If it doesn't, it may be a patterned HTV that needs a heat transfer mask. That is a bit more complicated but you can see do the small pieces.

    Do you recommend HTV or infusible ink for burlap or canvas bags? For canvas, is one more washing machine friendly than the other or is there an additional step to protect the design from washing?

    • @AngieHolden
      @AngieHolden  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      To use Infusbile Ink, you bag will need to be at least 65% polyester. If it isn't, use HTV. No other steps are required for washing.

    • @AngieHolden
      @AngieHolden  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The rough texture of the glitter will not allow the top layer to adhere to the surface. There are some glitter HTV products that are smooth and those would probably work okay.

    Why do you cover it? I talked to cricut and they said just use the clear part that the htv is stuck to. They said they can't guarantee it will be a good if parchment paper or anything is used between the 2. I have a parrot so definitely can't use teflon, but I'm very curious why a lot of people use parchment paper when cricut says not to. I love your tutorial, just very curious.

    • @AngieHolden

      Thank you! I use the Silhouette Business Edition program and didn't see any of the settings you used. Great tutorial. I'm going to try and adapt in my program.

    Mmm the circle does not stick after 16 seconds!! Is it just me ? I pulled and I got like wrinkled spots… looked terrible

      You need to try it after 16 seconds. If you are peeling back and it is not stuck, press again.

    Is it TH-cam that determines how many ads are put on your videos? They are loading your videos. I really enjoy these videos though.

    where did you get the teflon sheet? and can that replace butcher paper when doing infusible ink?

    • @AngieHolden
      @AngieHolden  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The one I am using is from Cricut but they don't make them anymore. And NO they can't replace butcher paper. You want something disposable when working with Infusible Ink and this would not be.
