    With regards to “hacking at the ball”, for me it was because I had the ball as the target. As soon as I realised the ball ISN’T the target, and that the target is the target, the “hacking” stopped.

    Great tips and, as you say, you don’t hear those things every day in golf Internet land. But assume you’ve been on Hackmotion? Lead wrist goes from flexion to extension through impact, i.e flat at one moment in time.

    Shaft lean from the shoulder is better than shaft lean from the wrist.
    Check your own swing, at impact, you shoulder all the way to club head forms a straight line everytime, not from the wrist, which IMO is more efficient for energy transfer.
    What many pros do, IMO, is because the so called nutral grip limits their body rotation, too much rotation will open the club face too much for them, then, they only can bow or rotate their wrists to compensate this issue, which tend to form a lean line from the wrist.

    Hi martin. For tip #2, I do not understand how having less dynamic loft would make the ball go further. In previous videos you talk about how most armatures are launching the ball to low. In my mind I feel like having more loft will get higher launch angle. And you could correct for that in static loft but it would be easier to fix in dynamic loft. I also don't understand the difference between launch angle and angle of attack. Thanks for the help.

    • @MartinBorgmeierLD
      @MartinBorgmeierLD  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      for drivers (that should be launched using positive AoA), I agree. For irons, a lot of amateurs are spooning it. Lower dynamic loft increases ball speed and lowers spin rate

      @@ShadowStrickers70734 flipping the wrist at impact, which increases loft. The device in the video helps to prevent that 👍🏾

    • @paulpanamarenko
      @paulpanamarenko 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Less loft makes the ball go further. More loft makes it go higher. Turning a 45 degree wedge into a 40 degree shot (less loft) basically turns it from a PW to a 9 iron.

    Hey Martin! Should I always try to hold my wrist through impact? With the driver. I have a solid swing, but my driver face insists on being open at impact. Idk if it’s my speed that I can’t handle. Swingspeed 130, ball speed 190-195. I also have strong grip..

    Martin, always remember that release is not the release of the "power accumulators", but the release of the flex of the golf shaft!
    Which when energised, acts as a leaf spring.
    The shaft, is always trying to escape from the rotating mass and the easiest way is with a flip, that works the best with a straight B line for the ball, during transition.
    Conversely if you pause at the top, the shaft acts as a " corkscrew" and just goes in the direction, that the compound pivot took it.
    When the club is in this extreme laid off / lag position, it can't utilise the flip, to escape from the rotating mass, as it would, from a straight line, or manipulated : over the top move.
    When the club is allowed, by gravity, to fall into the slot and lay off, : there is no way the shaft can utilise any straight line motion to flip the shaft, and the only way, how to escape from the rotating mass, is to flex the shaft and either release that flex on the upswing, or releasing that shaft, though the div!
    Conclusion : the more you can take the club off plane, into a more shallow position, the more you can energise the flex of the shaft.
    This is where the real power comes from!!!!

    You still dont have right swing but that is mainly because of body and spine etc. We tend to fall on where our center of gravity is. Good golfer center of gravity move in flat motion. Any head raise up means ball trajectory will be erratic. you have better short game than iron play or even driver. its going everywhere for sigtseeing
