Unique plasticity of the body, but also unusual body proportions. Of course he has long legs which give him an elegant princely look, but it's his arms that I notice most of all- they are freakishly long, almost as if he could touch his knees while arms are at his side. His hands look like oversize gloves about to slip off. Another human might look clumsy trying to control his body, but Nikolai is so graceful with them- I could watch him cutting a grapefruit, it would still look beautiful!
Molto bravi e spettacolari. BIGHIN GIULIO RENZO
I adore him... and I am lucky to understand all his Russian interviews, he is a great individual, very intelligent, educated, with great principles, never gets involved in scandals, has a wonderful sense of humor and humility and can laugh at himself. He is wonderful.
Supper ! Liels retums . Bet gadi skrien kā stirnas
I used to think the same thing - but apparently ballet is just different. About 70 years behind in tradition from opera. Also, gives the dancers time to recover between ridiculously exhausting displays.
@Thov67 Niko is a feather... he doesn't fit a role like Solor... Not many can capture such a role, look at the old russians like soloviev, vladimirov and v. vasiliev... they new how to perform such roles.... in my opinion the best solors are vladimirov, soloviev, kumakawa, ivan vasiliev, schaufuss and sarafanov...
Why are you talking about Solor? And besides, he is amazing in Bayadere, he doesn't have to be a cold jumping machine to be a man. Grace is the most beautiful thing in ballet
You are so wrong, he is incredible in Bayadere, you confuse femininity with grace.. and grace is what is most beautiful in ballet, not jumping machines.
@@BytomGirl I agree with you 100%. Some people misunderstand femininity and elegant grace. Nikolai has long arms. Using his arms like this is correct. If Nikolai perform like Ivan Vasiliev with his long arms and legs , it will not look good.
This man is as masculine as they come, just find his Paquita, Pique Dame, Scheherezade, Forsythe's In the middle, Notre Dame, Young Man and Death, Carmen Solo, Fallen Angel, Paganini, Le Corsaire, Antigona, Rothbart in Swan Lake, Remanso, Blue God and more so before yo say he is feminine, see more than one little clip and grace and femininity are two different things.
This is the ballet performance i was looking for..
Gentle, slow and elegant

The most beautiful, gentle and graceful prince anyone can dream about. Pure poetry.
This man is the most lyrical poetry in motion!
To me, he’s one of the few male ballet dancers, who manages to overshadow the prima ballerina,
This man is a miracle.

The strength and grace of that body is absolutely amazing!

Am I watching the Second Coming of Vaslav Nijinsky ?
Well, in a way, he danced many of Nijinsky's ballets.
Prince? No, no, it's more of a princess !!
You must be a macho boxer, is that your idea of a prince?

Don't think much of the choreography. The ending was ok.
in bayadere it looks like his dancing the female role and not solor lol xD
You are not watching Bayadere and he is wonderful as Solor anyway. He doesn't have to be a brainless jumping machine.

Not masculine enough for my taste, but still very impressive.

Transvestite show- Why didn't they tell her that it was a male role?
Shut up... haters like give me the bad taste in my mouth.
