Wonderful footage! Only the music of birds, wind, and trees. So restful. The mother seems to have mange. Some ivermectin in meat would do the trick. But must be safe for breastfeeding. Please ask a vet and help the mother. Mange is horrible.
Robert E Fuller’s TH-cam channel has a live fox den that he puts up every spring. And live owls and other critters. My young daughter loves watching the fox kits! It’s something the two of us can bond over since I’m huge animal lover….wolves are my favorites though! 🐺

So there was just the mother taking care of the pups....? Wasn't the male wolf visiting the den ? Does the female take the pups from den to den for better safety instead of staying in the same den for long ? Thanks for sharing !
Dogs/wolves seem to be built to pull things back but not push things forward very well, I just realized. LMAO I was sitting here wondering why they dig pits in the ground and not try to assemble a type of fort or something above ground but then I realized they cant really put things places beyond dropping it from their mouth, but they sure can dig and pull things backwards! 🐺
dear Vadim. like I said, I adore her...! If you post a video in 3 weeks from this same den where the puppies will play in 5-6 weeks in front of this den. then I bow. As I reported, I've been to many caves by far. i know where the red line for the female is! because of this! prove it to me and i bow! science is a great thing, especially yours! But, we should never lose respect for our objects, i.e. the wolves!
I agree with you. However, there is another aspect in that. In our study areas in Belarus and perhaps wider, even without any disturbance by human parent-wolves with small pups stay in a particular den rather shortly - 1 to 3 days normally. We know many cases, when they relocated pups 3 to6 times per twenty-four hours, mainly because of mosquitos, but also because of disturbance by lynx, stag, bison and bear. 5-6 weeks in one denning site is far non-realistic for wolves here. Even a week in one spot already happens fairly rarely in Belarus.
Also, in our practice we had at least four cases, when we find wolf pups in a burrow-den or cavity-den and then in several (3-5) weeks after their escape the families visited the spot and stayed there up to few days.
Yes, that was purposeful. We investigated wolf breeding for many years and have evident fruitful results e.g. the book Sidorovich and Rotenko, 2017, 2019. We did not climb in the den. The pups were nearby the burrow entrance.

Yes, sure, they can smell a human and any other animal. We filmed from outside without diving in the den.

Why is the wolf missing a big patch of fur between its shoulderblades?
It could be due to shedding. Wolves I think shed their coats in the warmer seasons.
