Ares is a seriously amazing character, most people just dont bother with him because he's somewhat slow

Finally, a Ares player.
Ares is godlike. Secret top tier everyone's sleeping on; ridiculous stupid mix-ups, great punishes, unblockable set-ups, decent zoning, good damage output.
You are going to really enjoy the game. I've been addicted to it since I bought it! The Flash, Aquaman, or Green Arrow are very great characters to learn and get good with.
holy fuck this was a great match. Constant back and forth with great combos and even a super that wasn't done by a superman.
Me. 287 W/ 14 losses with him. I also play as Batgirl and Green Lantern. A little bit of Grundy too.
At a distance. Half/full screen is the most effective way to utilize Sinestro's projectiles. I can throw a couple of 30+% combos in but using a pure zoning character requires lots of zoning to win. I would use more melee if his moves didn't have so much start up and minus everything on block.
Honestly it's difficult at first but if you put in the time to learn the mechanics you will succeed greatly in it. I would recommend you buying it.

i have played the game for a solid month and 2 weeks plus the rumored season pass 2 with new characters will change the metagame and keep it interesting

What is your playstyle with sinestro?
Maybe I didn't use him enough? His damage is severally nerfed with the overall patch and even his high damage combos require a lot. Either meter burn cancel, both of his trait weapons or throwing out unsafe strings. I got some good invisible and teleport reset setups but overall the effort and resources for his damage wasn't worth it. I picked up GL and Flash. GL really because he delivers high damage with ease and Flash just because he's fun.

Six years late 😂 anything by HORI has real triggers or bumpers that the joystick hits for each direction just like an arcade stick and the buttons are quality. Quality build.
Madcatz arcade sticks are always good, but not the SE or WWE one.
Qanba and Eight Arc sticks are nice too, but they can be a little expensive.

Yeah, he's a bit commit-heavy, but I think a lot of characters in this game are. At its highest level, I think rounds will go past very fast once people learn to maximize damage and get past zoning effectively. Ares can reliably net 30-40% with meter. I still think Ares is being slept on, and I can't argue against your choice of GL and Flash, both good characters lol

Yeah its worth buying its like qlot of fighting games if you put time into it its really fun but I shouldnt say its like all fighting games its better than all the ones ive played

Damn, I thought Ares was bad because the combos I do require either both my power or a lot of meter. This guy got like 5th and he's only doing weaker combos than I do. If I think Ares sucks I wonder what he thinks.

No I'm saying that it doesn't matter what you use as long as you play the game. A year ago people playing with a pad were damn near laughed off the stage if even allowed to play at all.
