WHEN RENTING IN HCM:
(1) NEVER rent HIGHER than 6th FLOOR because no FIRE ENGINE LADDERS will reach higher.
(2) NEVER rent LOWER THAN 4th floor if near RIVER or LAKE - MOSQUITOES don't fly higher.
(3) VIN apartments tend to be OVERPRICED.
(4) In PHU MY: Haircuts-Ð70, 000: Parking-Ð30, 000 (24H Guards). 2 bedroom, 84 Square Metre - Ð9, 000,000 + Ð44 000 (maintenance fees).

Vinschool is a nightmare for the teachers to work at. I’ve heard nothing but negative things about it. It may be great for kids but if you’re looking to move to VN to teach I would steer clear of working there.

When you are talking about the price of properties, you could usefully say if you are talking about buying or renting and if it is per month or what. It is quite hard working out the context otherwise because Vietnam currency is not familiar. Enjoyed the video btw.

Generally speaking in Vietnam, when you hear Million then it's for renting per month and when you hear Billion then it's the buying price of the property

Been here a few times as I have a mate who lives in one of the apartments. It's amazing. Last time I was there they were building another apartment building. Nice location and facilities is fantastic. There's also a tennis court as well.

The Covid pandemic has been killing economy around the world and Vietnam is no exception.. Real estate market is tanking quick at Vietnam.. Not many Viet Kieu are traving to Vietnam and that's why so many stores hotel restaurants are closed their doors in VN...rental prices will be dropped more and more each month.. M

You mention your apartment overlooks the zoo while walking thru the park. I haven't visited Vietnam since 2014, but planning on a trip in 2023. I remember the zoo was lacking. Has anything changed?
