"Their Law" was a collaborative composition between Pop Will Eat Itself and The Prodigy.

"Their Law" is as much Pop will eat itself as much as Prodigy they both collaborated to do it. I am glad they did it because it introduced me to electronic dance as another alternative.

I saw The Poppies on Jan 5 1996 in Toronto, best show Ive ever seen. Most underrated band of all time
I was at this GIG. It was recorded by instant live and I got the copy of the CD and DVD was mailed to you. But on the previous night Gig they were actually join by Liam Howlett to play this live. Such a great night about the 20th time I had seen them.
This is what set the Prodigy off on their rock sound and hence Firestarter etc. Both bands are awesome in different ways. I love the Prodigy rave stuff and PWEI in the early 80's is different. Both outstanding live.

Clint was on TOP form that night! Been to loads of poppies gigs before, but this was the best.
The only PWEI show (about 1999) I saw live was one of the worst shows I've ever seen - they were awful. Then I saw the Birmingham 2005 show on youtube and it was awesome.
I went to one PWEI gig opening for EMF. They sucked ass and EMF blew them off the stage. The 2005 Birmingham concert is like a completely different band than I saw.
Wisky-A-GoGo. Hollywood, CA. The year evades me. Promoting Dos Dedos. Made my way to the VIP bar (6'4" Mexican has some advantages). Fucking best people ever! Clint spoke to me 1" from my face. Weird for me, but welcoming coming from a musical genius. Grahm asked me to hold his pint of stout for a minute, while I took the liberty of taking a dainty sip of a rock star's Guiness. I know...its gross, but what other fan wouldn't?

tbanger you are incredibly incorrect! Clint Mansel recorded all the vocals on the song. He wrote the song and issued it out to Liam once he agreed to the approval of the complete prodcut. The result was rather good would'nt you agree. PWEI!

On my Prodigy album its credited as Liam Howlett and P.W.E.I, thats definately Clint Mansells voice on the Prodigy version (unless someone has better information)
Jim Davies played guitar for a lot of the Prodigy songs. This was made when laws in England banned all night raves in fields hence "fuck em, and their law"

I'd seen the Poppies 3 times before at various festivals between 1991 and 1995, but this reunion in 2005 was their finest hour in my opinion. A short tour so they were full of energy and intensity, playing 'home' venues with a fervent crowd. One of the best gigs I ever went to.
I saw them again a few of years ago on the Sleigh the UK tour with Jesus Jones and The Wonderstuff - the energy had gone, no Clint, poor setlist.. a shame.
I saw the poppies in the early 90s and the show was absolute garbage. Then I've seen this full 2005 show and I was so disappointed that I paid and didn't get this....
I would pay for someone to PLEASE take the vocals from this video and mix them in with the original track! 🙏

It *was* recorded - but wasn't on general release IIRC. A studio version made its way onto a freebie cassette (heh, remember them?) which was issued via a music mag. in the UK. Can't remember which one but I think I still have a copy of that tape *somewhere* in my house. At least I can't believe I'd have chucked it away - there was too much other good stuff on it as well.

I went to this gig also. it was a great experience. I bought the video a couple of days later online. Watched it a few times then lent it to a mate and never got it back! gutted :0(

On the vocal thing, doesn't Liam do the "I'm the law, you can't beat the law" bit on Jilted generation original, but it's definitely Clint doin the "Fuck 'em.." & "Crackdown..." bits. As yr said below, not a Prodge vs Poppies thing as both are awesome bands & any version of this tine is ace.

What's wrong with their take on it? Sound good to me. A little more personality and energy from Prodigy but still not a bad version. It's a nice compliment.
