19-12 IL 475 (25s) WR

This run improves my previous record by 1s.
RTA time: 27s 000ms (prev. 27s 633ms by me)
Getting this IL took 6 days (total ~8 hours of practice/attempts)
Most of the time save over my previous IL record is from much cleaner movement.
wall jumping earlier off of walls is the most obvious improvement but there's more...
The wrap-around wall jumps at 0:06, 0:21, 0:23 are really difficult to do fast. You can visually see that the 0:23 walljump was much slower than the ones at 0:06/0:21 which were optimal.
When I can, I do small wall jumps (ideally as low as possible) to save time accelerating back to full speed at 0:15, 0:19, and wrap-around wall jumps. This is a small time save but it adds up.
Finally, the triple jump at 0:27 has to be done with minimal slow down for this IL time. This could have been better but it was good enough.
At the time of my old IL, I didn't think it could be improved. But now that I have improved by a full second from movement alone it's pretty motivating for me to keep on going.

Thanks, damageless is doable by adding a duck jump but it makes the triple jump more inconsistent, might do it at some point.

GG, just curious wouldn't it be faster to not grab de checkpoint?

IL's use the in-game timer so no. The checkpoint making Mario bigger saves time on the wrap-around walljumps too.
