I am going to be making more videos in the future about building self bows and laminated bows. Hopefully the majority will be successful builds but I want to try some bow builds that push my limits in order for me to become a better bowyer.

@@Dukelanovic For sure. I was tillering if slowly and being careful. After it snapped I noticed a void in the wood where a knot was and that is where the break started. I wish I would have noticed that before I started shaping the bow because I would have avoided that section if possible. Another thing that I didn't keep in mind is how dry the wood is here in the desert. I was taught and built bows along the Oregon coast where the moisture content of the wood is much higher. Either way I am getting ready to make another bow build video using the same wood and will do my best to avoid breaking another bow. Thanks for watching and commenting.

I wish I would have gotten it on camera. It doesn't happen very often but when it does it's usually spectacular.
