If you want to watch some stuff to hype you up for future of Arcane I think the "Tales of Runeterra" series could be cool. It's a bunch of short stories that are supposed to showcase what every region in that world is about. It's cool because it won't give you any spoilers on the specifics - only some big picture ideas about the world (and we know that Arcane plans to do 2 seasons per region/storyline so after this season in Zaun/Piltover we're going somewhere else). If you wan't to get more nerdy then Necrit's "The World of Riot's MMO is Already Done" is probably the most comprehensive explanation of this universe while still being just big picture stuff (just ignore the MMO part, the video was meant for MMO players but ended up the best starting point for League lore we have).

@@adriankuban2904 I agree, league of legends is pretty hard to get into and while it's not as bad as its reputation the community CAN be pretty mean sometimes. Legends of Runeterra (and don't forget Teamfight Tactics!) are both pretty easy to learn in comparison and have in my experience very friendly communities.
In game, Ekko is followed by a "ghost" showing his position 5 seconds ago. When he rewinds time, he teleports to the position of his ghost and recovers some health. Yes, it can be really annoying.
The video for Warriors (2020) has also characters from Arcane.

Viktor was coughing at the end because the Hexcore had taken away it effect when Viktor tried to destroy it. If you notice when he was 'shocked' by the core after dropping the chair from then on he had to use his crutch again too.
That quote from Jinx, in the teaser, "I'm glad it's you". I really think she is talking to Warwick/Vander. First, because the writers love to mess with our expectations, and everyone is gonna assume it's directed to Vi, but also, because it would fit so well with her paranoia arc "Nothing ever stays dead.", her past always comes back to bite her, maybe literally in this case.
Well, there is Warwick theme right after these words, so it's either tease or bait
Also weird thing the way the wolf acted around the girl is very similar to how vander acted after he took the shimmer. Like he was trying to maintain his mind
In episode 3 there are actual in game sound effects from ww that he makes
Yup. The way he grasped and shook his head to snap out of his rage in Arcane was clearly a reference to this. And the growling animal sounds. It's incredibly obvious in retrospect.
It's honestly pretty cool how much Riot tried to keep it consistent. Vander being WW is an obvious 'retcon', since Vander didn't exist for years until Arcane, but Riot isn't doing a huge change to WW or anything. They paid attention to what WW has always been and brought it to this new canon in a very consistent way.
The girl also looks incredibly similar to one of the kids working in the Shimmer factory in episode 8, and I've been wondering if that was meant to be an Easter egg
Shimmer is one type of something called Chem-tech which is Zaun's alternative to Piltover's Hex-tech. the main colors of Chem-tech is pink/purple and green, due to how versatile Chem-tech is it can be used as drugs, medicine, energy (to power machines like electricity) and even as transmutable substances like shimmer and the creation of Warwick. There are many champions from Zaun that are heavily tied to Chem-tech.
2:16 We also saw this at the end of the Arcane s1 ending after Singed looked at his daughters photo he looks at Warwick/Vander(?)
8:07 They actaully foreshadow his time traveling tech in Arcane a lot idk if you catch that. They always show some kind of watch when they showed Ekko. Even in the Ekko and Jinx bridge fight scene they showed a flashback of them then when the scene get back to the present it gets back with a rewind effect and the first thing we saw after the effect ended was Ekko with a watch it was actually so cool :3
Also there is a voiceline in the game when Warwick saw Jinx, he starts screaming at her like "You were there!" i dont remember the spesific voice line but it was smth like that. We already know that Warwick was a normal guy before too which makes it pretty clear that Ww was actually Vander all along and probably talks about the explosion Powder made by accident in ep3 so the theory of Vander being Ww is not just from the looks etc there are couple of stuff like this
Also, the watch Ekko has in Arcane looks a lot like a Stopwatch from League of Legends, which would also break in the game after the player uses it, exactly like we see Ekko's watch in Arcane after the Jinx fight.
Highly, highly recommend Bridging the rift . It's a five part documentary that tells the entire story of how Arcane was made.

that last warwick trailer is incredible, it released when they reworked the champion in game a couple years before arcane released so even little things like that were planned out so well

I'm sure someone has commented this already or mentioned it in other places. But just in case.. The whole "Shimmer" thing is confusing when comparing it to the game and other lore, since I think they were assuming Arcane would be just like all their other spinoffs and be it's own "universe". Until it got super popular..
So the green stuff you see in the cinematics or other mediums is "Chem"(idk the actual name of the chemicals), which is used in "Chemtech". Thus the "Chem-Barons". But the things you saw in the show, like Sevika's arm, diver suit guys in ep8 that Vi and Jayce fought, the "neon" lights, etc. That were powered by Shimmer, probably would have been Chemtech instead. Also that "Chem" is what pollutes the water and air in Zaun.
But good news is that Riot is combining all their spinoffs, in game and out of game lore. So it'll all be one consistent universe, with Arcane and Legends of Runeterra(iirc) as the core/starting point. My personal headcanon is that it's all the same stuff, since Rio(the cute lizard thing Viktor met) was "mutated" and they were feeding her those purple flowers. So Chem mutates Rio > Singed(evil doctor dude) feeds her these flowers > extracts Shimmer from Rio. Chemtech with extra steps.
Silco also alludes to Vander/ Warwick's fate when Silco taunts him that he "knew you had a little monster left in you".
As far as how Ekko plays, he has regular abilities that can slow and stun enemies and a instant blink/ dash to jump forward, but only his ultimate ability can rewind him. It isn't always available. When it is, an illusion trails behind him by 4 seconds wherever he goes, and using the ultimate moves Elko backwards to that spot and restores some of his health.

Some info, takes and theories:
1. Ekko - Ekko's whole kit is showed on the second trailer. His first skill (Q) is the boomerang kinda thing he throws and then comes back to him. His W is that forcefield that traps/stuns the enemies, his E is a dash similar to how he falls on the ground after jumping from the cliff. His ult has an aura similar to the hologram he uses, and then he can cast it to go back to the position his hologram was and restore some Health.
2. Warwick/Vander - what we know so far about Warwick is that he once was a man but was turned in this werewolf creature by Singed, and while he can smell the blood and hunt, he indeed goes more after criminals, which shows the human part in him. Warwick's song which you heard on the trailers is played on Arcane season one and he also has some interactions with both Vi and Jinx. To Jinx he says "You were there" which can be about Powder being there when he nearly died or even she being on Singed's office when he was saving her life after the bridge fight. To Vi, Warwick says "who taught you how to punch?" which is to the fandom a really clear confirmation that Vander is Warwick.
3. Singed - Singed is a very important champion to the lore of Noxus and Ionia, he is also a part of a lot of champions lore as you can see, but there is a theory that his daughter is actually another league champion, Orianna, which is originally a girl that got really sick after an acident and had her organs replaced by mechanic ones whenever they failed, at some point her father was also sick and then she replaced her own heart with a hextec gem and implanted her heart on her father and then runaway leavinf her humanity and her father behind with only a ballerina music box. Riot also teased us that a champion that wasn't featured in season 1 is getting a rework. That clip of Singed makes us theorize that Orianna is his daughter and is getting a rework/new lore
You may like checking out the behind the scenes.A 5-part making of called Bridging the Rift. It's on Riot's official TH-cam channel. It also has an easter egg to season 2. Would be great to see a reaction to this. For a docuseries I find it just as good as the show itself.
As for Warwick and the clues that he is Vander, his lore references him being an ex-gangster turned good man who couldn't escape his past (literally Vander's backstory).
In Arcane he is called the Hound of the Underground. Silco states that Vander is Piltover's lapdog.
In ep3, just before Vander kills Deckard, you can hear Warwicks howl. And he starts to grunt like Warwick.
Vander's in-game voice lines are another clue.
"You were there" and "Let me forget", both said to jinx.
Said to Vi, "Zaun needed you", "Who taught you how to punch", and "The fear in your eyes, I've seen it before ."
Also the girl in his trailer here was one of the children in the warehouse scene where Jayce killed the kid in ep8.
I also like to add something about Warwick that many people have missed. In the last episode of S1 towards the end when Jinx was shooting at the council and the scene starts to show different characters from the series, in the Singed scene you can literally see Vander turning into Warwick (or should i say half Vander half Warwick) in the foreground of the scene. It was blurred out initially but put into more focus as the scene progressed.
Every champion has an ultimate ability which takes the longest to recharge (1-2mins).
Ekkos ultimate ability he can go back in time 3 seconds and recover all the health he lost during that time and does damage to enemies around him when he teleports back. He cannot spam this ability otherwise people would actually find him annoying.
Warwick can sense low health enemies and will run really fast the lower the health of the enemy is. He will also attack faster the lower the health of the enemy.

Which is ironic because Ekko can't heal himself with his Z-Drive in lore
I know this isn't really the content you normally do but just wanted to comment and say I'm here for all of it if you keep doing league/arcane stuff, with season 2 coming I've been really enjoying watching people fall in love with this universe again 💜

At 13:23 I believe that girl is the same black girl from Arcane in that scene where they show the kids that worked for Silco. But she is a little grown up.

As a long time Warwick fan, it's really great to see his lore probably focused on two of my other favorite Champions, Vi and Jinx. And although S1 and probably S2 left me broken knowing where Powder and Violet end up in game, the idea that Vander is WW hurts me and the characters so much more than I ever thought possible before Arcane. There are other characters that aren't anywhere near their in game counterparts at the end of S1 Arcane, but Jinx and Vi are pretty close, and I hated seeing it happen, but it was done so beautifully.
If you look at the way Warwick looked at the girl inside of the trailer. Warwick got his senses back and snapped back to reality in a very similar way Vander did with Vi after he defeated Shimmer Deckard in Ep. 3
I think that body language was a nice hint that it might just be Vander.
if you listen carfuly in the teaser you can hear warwick theme playing when hunt his prey and if your interested you check the in game lines of the characters when they meet in game
in one of the season cinematics, there is an awesome scene where cait and vi team up. worth a watch! the cinematic is called Warriors | Season 2020 Cinematic
Good job on the person putting these together getting the two trailers to sync. I highly suggest looking at other parts of the world. I think Tales of Runeterra cinematics are a great way to introduce yourself to the other regions.
btw if you guys want to see ekko and warwick trailer gameplay they exist! the narrator even explains they abilitys so its cool and very cool, just search ekko and warwick gameplay trailer.
First off, you two should 100% watch the season cinematics and other videos that Riot has put out. I think you'd really enjoy the Season 2020 cinematic: Warriors. But you've also got things like the Season 2019 cinematic, Awaken, Worlds 2017, Legends Never Die, Worlds 2019 cinematic, Phoenix... and the one that has blown EVERYONE out of the water is the Season 2024 cinematic Still Here. None of it directly has to do with Arcane, but they are all beautiful animations, and you _might_ get to see a little Vi and Caitlyn in one of them. Not going to say which one exactly, though.
I love Ekko as a character. I especially love that, even though he "won" by killing that guy, he lost by letting the mural get destroyed. So... he went back in order to make sure that it was a "complete" victory, not a hollow one with the destruction of the mural. He _absolutely_ cares about getting things... not just done, but done right. I don't think he has his time-slipping abilities in Arcane, but I really feel like the fight with Jinx in episode 7 is almost foreshadowing that tech. He played that fight out in his mind over and over again until he found the path that let both of them live. That's my take on it.
You should also see the champions interactions,for example how warwick reacts to seen an enemy or allied vi in the team

They just dropped the teaser trailer for season 2 and it's so good!!!
Yeah, the Wild Rift trailers (the mobile game) are a lot more cartoony than the "standard" trailers. The second Ekko trailer and the first Warwick trailer you watched were from Wild Rift, and you noticed the softer animation on those.
It's also interesting in that the Wild Rift trailers came out much later than a lot of the normal trailers (because the mobile game only came out a few years ago), so even though the two Warwick trailers follow each other as part of the same scene (connected by the "I told you this was a bad deal, man!" line), the first one (Wild Rift) came out years later than the second one (6 years apart, in fact).
And as long as you're hitting the Wild Rift trailers, might as well catch the very first one (You Really Got Me), for Jinx. Though it's not Arcane Jinx.
Ekko isn't super op, but he is really good in the game. His rewind time is his ultimate that goes on cool down after using it for about 60 sec, it restores health and deal damage in a area of effect kind of way.
As for what's on Warwick's back, it's a different thing from shimmer, it is called chemtech and it pump alchemical rage making Warwick lose control, shimmer was made for Arcane as we've never got a name for it.

i think yall would get a kick out of the fiddlesticks trailer. that high quality warwick one at the end is one of the best imo, and fiddlesticks trailer is easily up there with it. 99.999% sure we wont see fiddle ever in arcane though so it doesnt leave much to talk about besides just a cool reaction 😂

In the first teaser, the sounds efects and music what play on te final, is of Vander from LOL game
One theory about Mel Medarda is that the gold stuff on her body is magical Solari Armor of some kind, and is likely to protect her and possibly Jayce and Viktor (because they are near her in the room). This was confirmed, in a way, when Alex "Mako" Seaver accidentally let it slip that Mel's "armor" glowed as Jinx's rocket approached the window.
Cait and Vi are in the Warriors cinematic, i highly recommend watching it

Now that you've survived Arcane, you *might* be emotionally strong enough for the Annie Origins video. Give it a shot!
Some info on the character is that she's a little girl who has magical fire powers. Her mother was a witch and died while Annie was young. the only thing Annie has left of her mother is a stuffed bear that her mother made for her. The bear is a focus for her powers, which she can't control yet. Her father went on to marry another woman with a daughter named Daisy. That should be all you need to know as a back story to the video. I hope you enjoy!
Not sure if you've covered it in another video, but if you like the vibe of the last Warwick trailer you watched, you might get a kick out of the Fiddlesticks re-launch trailer as well. It has nothing to do with Arcane (yet), since it takes place in Demacia (far side of the world, on the other side of Noxus; basically they're stereotypical fantasy human good guys, but the canon has them as also kinda terrible mage-racists), but it's still got a similar creepy vibe to it.
Ekko ultimate (R), rewind time on himself, so if you damage him this damage is healed, and for the enemies to know where he was 4 seconds ago there is a shadow of Ekko that follows him and do the same movements. When you press (R) in game you pop your ultimate, dealing damage to enemies near to the shadow and healing back the damage enemies dealed to you in the last 4 seconds.
every fan of league MUST watch the cinematics, they are soo many of them and the visual and story in the them are breathtaking but a lot are not connected to zaun/piltover but its worth the watch (but for sure definitely u need to watch the music videos like KDA and GIANTS)

You can just try the mobile version. The thing is that Viktor and Heimerdinger is not yet in the mobile version, but Jinx, Vi, Caitlyn, Jayce, Singed, Ekko, and Warwick is there.

If we have learned anything to this point, it is that we should never expect the obvious to be how things go. It seems pretty obvious that Jinx is talking about Vi there, which means there is a good chance that line is not in regards to Vi.
But the question remains, who is that comment about then?
My guess: when she first finds out Ekko is the Firelight leader during the timeskip
"I'm glad it's you.", "It had to be you". When I ready both these lines out in my head, they feel like two separate scenes. Like they're two different takes. Both lines are supposed to be ambiguous to who found Jinx. Jinx could be glad Vi found her, because it means Vi chose her, or it could be for Caitlyn, because Jinx wants to kill her for taking Vi away from her. Same goes for the second line: it had to be Vi that came, because she's Jinx's sister & it had to be Caitlyn because Jinx did so much to her.
Was watching a video that went into the Music of NieR, a game series with an amazing OST, & in the video it talked about music boxes & what they symbolize. To paraphrase the 40 minute video, a music box represents nostalgia, invokes childhood memory, memories of better times. It's already established that Singed lost a daughter, but how does the music box, fond memories of his child, work with his furry Vander? I wonder if Vander's going to be used as a weapon against Piltover, against the Enforcers, or a protector of the weak in Under City.

There's so much sorrow in her voice when she says "I'm glad it's you. Had to be you" that it makes me want to cry just from hearing that.
I feel like these sentences fit too good together (both in meaning and tone of voice) to be said separately. Also it sounds like something deeply personal, so I don't know if she would ever talk like this to Caitlyn.
@@beyondreckless9249 I'm not an English major; this is 100% my opinion; take this with a grain of salt. For the two sentences to flow into one another easier, the second sentence should've started with "It": It had to be you. As I read them, "Had to be you." just starts out of place.

I have even less authority in this matter, so all I can say about it is "if you say so" :) but wouldn't second "it" make the whole phrase sound a little clunky? "I'm glad it's you. It had to be you". With just one "it" it sounds as if "it" carries over from first sentence to the second. This way it all sounds a lot more...fluid, I guess. At least to my ear.
Also worth noting that it's dialogue we're talking about. It may not be appropriate to casually skip "it" in writing, but in speech people aren't always communicating with gramatically correct sentences. So there's that.
And I wanted to add something about Singed and Warwick to your previous comment.
I've read a theory that Shimmer and experiments on Warwick are just steps in Singed's plan to help his daughter's condition or maybe revive her. Vander may be just a side project, essentially.
As for Warwick...he's not likely to be some mind-controlled pet. Singed keeps him sedated for the sake of experimentation, but sooner or later things are bound to go wrong. In the original lore (to my knowledge) he was a bloodthirsty monster killing everything he could get his paws on before finding a way to navigate his bestial nature and gaining some self-control.
Yes, this show is awesome :) I was obsessed with it on launch. Now, after all these new teasers and a rewatch the obsession returned. Can't wait to see how this story develops.
@@beyondreckless9249 As a native English speaker, I can tell you your use of the language rivals that of people I've known while in the American education system; you're write very proficiently. ^_^ At the end of the day, it's-like you said-all dependent on what sounds better to our own ears, so the semantics of whether an additional "it" should or shouldn't be included is all up to personal taste. Your comment about Singed & Warwick/Vander, has me more captivated. I have pretty much 0 experience with the lore of League, so what I propose is all an educated hypothesis.
Going off of the teaser, the way Singed holds that music box, his daughter either motivates him to do better, or like you said, motivates him to finding a way to revive her. Could what happened to Singed & his daughter be similar to what happens to Shou Tucker & Nina (from the original Fullmetal Alchemist show, not Brotherhood)? Both men lost their daughters by their own hands & now work tirelessly to resolve their mistake?
You mentioned Warwick murdered indiscriminately before gaining control over his bloodthirsty desires, do you (or we, as the general audience) know what Warwick was before all this? Was he an animal or a human?
I too was obsessed with it upon first viewing. I hummed the opening many times while in the shower. Now that we're getting close, I'm trying to find friends that haven't seen it before & convince them to watch it. NEVER trust your expectations for Arcane s2 based of the trailers because if you watch season 1's trailers you will see they try to make you think one way to make you have certain expectations but then they flip it entirely

Champions in game and in the show and also lore are quite different. Now they are trying to have all of it exist in one consistant universe. Personally I dont actually care if things dont match up to perfection. Make good things using your IP and Im entertained for days.
Ekko's gameplay actually does have a long history of scrutiny because it really was that annoying for a long time but luckily his time powers are only for his ultimate that has a very long recharge time comparative to basic abilities. The rest of his gameplay is just run fast, throw projectile, stun in a circle, dash a short distance
I don't know if this was said before,
But League Of legends lore had a bumpy recent years. Made worse by pandemic.
Bunch of different departments creating lore without much cohesion, so alot of conflicting lore, example: current lore & arcane might be similar but they conflict on some areas
But recently they made an announcement that going forward they would proceed that the one canon lore would be arcane, that doesn't mean that the current lore is outdated, its just that when current lore is in conflict with arcane, aracne lore takes precedence.
Abilities in LoL have cooldowns, so Ekko can't just use his time rewind function at will.
Actually, at least in the current state of the game, Ekko and Warwick are among the weaker champions at their position (Jungle) in the game.

Yes, fighting Echo is REALLY F'ing annoying, but fortunately he can only rewind time every 2 minutes. The ability can't be used constantly. And you know if he's able to do it by seing he's past self following him a few seconds behind. Which can also be used to spot him and plan an attack on him. One following the present Echo and one following the past Echo incase he rewinds.

Ya'll have to keep in mind while watching trailers is that you shouldn't try to relate things to Arcane. Shimmer, Silco, Midarda etc are not things that existed in the league universe. Try not to get your hopes up.

What's cooler is that we already expected Vander to be turned into Warwick years prior to Arcane, he's had voice lines in the game with Jinx and Vi teasing his past before his transformation for the longest time
