Wow, that episode of the Next Mutation was actually good.
Ninja Turtles on motorcycles is actually a step backwards. The Ninja Turtles franchise is based on an old drawing of a turtle decked out in ninja gear, which was considered clever and funny at the time because turtles are slow, and ninjas were just starting to enter pop culture. But a turtle riding in a fast vehicle is such an old and corny joke, I guarantee there are comics over 100 years old where the tortoise beats the hare in a race by flying a plane or something.
There's a Looney Toon/Merrie Melody with Bugs Bunny doing The Tortoise & The Hare where he tortoise in question actually has rockets in his shell. So yep.
I love bootleg zones! I'm geeatful someone is cataloging these bootlegs for everyone to see.
This Turtle doesn't even know who he is. He's wearing the wrong letter (which he lost) on the wrong weapon belt (which he lost the weapons to) and he's on the wrong bike (which apparently he broke).
I dub this poor turtle: Donarapheonardolangelo.
Seems like these bootleg sketches keep getting longer and I love how they merge every goofy turtles continuity into one mega-weird universe.
I had a bunch of these friction driven toys when I was kid, my guess as to why you can't get it to roll is that the flywheel in the friction motor doesn't weigh enough, so it can't make enough torque to keep the motorcycle upright.
Clearly they meant 10 scale meters, which is about 8 inches.

The Next Mutation reviews really have grown on us.
He doesn't need to act abusive when he's the best in putting down her Shinobi stuff especially when she tries to be a Turtle and they don't.
Seriously, he's probably the most anti-Venus out of the four with shit like "A little less meditating and a little more hitting the books and we wouldn't be having this problem, Venus!" and "We don't need you be a laptop, we need you to be a Shinobi."

@@minatempes4151 well ironically enough, bootleg figures were made before there were any official ones where you could actually take the faces off and see the endoskeletons.
Maybe NECA could release a 7” deluxe action figure where you can get details like that. Just hope it’s a one-off, because Funko’s been on a roll with their figures.

It's sad to me that these are hard to get, thanks in large part to you I've taken to collecting any bootlegs of my favorite properties I can find (including a hilariously bad Mexican bootleg April O'Neil I picked up) but they're just so rare and expensive now it's not feasible to grab many on my budget. Guess I just need to travel abroad more and raid cheap stores.

Before China being the bootleg empire, most of bootleg toy were made in Taiwan.
In the 90s, Taiwan was on Special 301 Report watch list. Forced most of Taiwan's bootleg manufacturers to move to China.
So, can't say there isn't any relationship.
China itself became a bootleg of other countries with better governments in comparison.
I think they were riding the coattails of Kamen Rider as well.

also i think the price on 2:51 is an IDR (Indonesian Rupiah) currency price, so in US$ it's almost 3,5 bucks i assume, but i might be wrong about this.

They've erased Kenny Roberts and Freddie Spencer off their 500cc MotoGP bikes and replaced them with Leo and Mikey. If the toy bike looked like those that would be awesome.
