Appreciate the help, worked great. What you mentioned about keeping the keys from touching anything before clipping it back in is important. The rubber must be flat otherwise keys wont register.
Hey THANKS..... Bumped onto your cleaning tutorial and it really helped.... Just wanted to say Thank You! Pastor George Stars Ministries Durban - South Africa
Wow! I have a 16 year old Yamaha PSR 640. Half of the keys were dead. I did not know it was so easy to clean it up. The other videos I found had latest keyboard models and I was not able to remove the keys at all. This video showed precisely how to remove the keys. Thanks to you, I have cleaned my board and all the keys are working fine now. Thank you so much.
Thanks very much! Like you said, I didn't see anything else on the web that specifically addressed the PSR-275. It took me a few tries to get all my keys working at once, but this video was a big help. I used rubbing alcohol (isopropyl 70%) to clean the contacts.
SUCCESS! I found that the smallest speck of dust (needing magnification to see) on the contact board OR rubber "plungers" will stop the key from working. Very aggravating but after many tries all the keys finally worked..Thanks again for showing how the PSR 275 (and PSR 280) contacts are cleaned.
Thanks for the video. I was trying to remove the keys on my PSR-280 as is done on many keyboards. Flipping it over and removing the contact plate instead...did the trick. Thanks again!
Thannnnks sooo much ❤️ searched alot and cleaned everything except these as they seemed dangerous and I was afraid to mess up 😂 Now it is working not full efficiency but it still works ✌️
Thanks a bunch. Saved me alot of time and not having to use a few keys. I didnt have contact cleaner and instead used Rubbing Alcohol to clean the contacts. Works like new except for 1 key but even that key isnt bad at all. Many many thanks!
I tried contact cleaner on mine, and it actually made the problem worse (before I watched your video, though. Not blaming you!). Wondering if using kleenex instead of actual cloth maybe put lint on the contacts or something... Glad to see I'm on the right track, though. Thanks for the demonstration!
Thanks for the tutorial! However, I don't have any actual contact cleaners or anything else mentioned in the video, so is there a way that I could use some rubbing alcohol or my sister's nail polish remover (or something of the sort) to clean the contacts? I tried using basically just water, and i only mostly fixed my G# key, and my G key is still dead.
Yeah I think alcohol should be all good! Nail polish remover should be all good too but it's slightly more potent than alcohol right? You don't wanna burn away the actual contact just clean it ya know... Good luck!
THANK YOU!!! i tried on my own bedore i saw your video and it was so hard to figure out
If it is not for your video I do not realize the two screws of the batteries thank me it has been very useful thanks bro
Thanks so much! Would have take me ages to figure this out on my own

Hey there, anyone know if this same method would work for a Yamaha P-60 88 key piano?
Thank you for the video. I have the same model , 15 years old and able to fix it ! Thanks
does this keyboard still work ?
It worked, thanks a ton!!
Thank you - very informative and useful
Would it be cool to clean the contacts inside the rubber things with a Swab or ear cleaner with contact cleaner too while you have that area open?
Thank you! It worked!! And the repair shop was going to charge me £70!
+Jennifer Pybus wehay! happy to help, glad you saved a few quid! :)
Thank you, sir. Please add S-03 and DJX to your title or description as they use the same keybed.
will do, thanks! :)
hey dude are still use this keyboard?
Wold this work on a Yamaha PSR E223. I tried using a pencil but it didnt work. Can I use methylated Spirit? Which contains 90% ethanol
Thanks so much Max. So much.
PSR275 DOSE NOT COME AFTER PLUG IN PLEASE HELP ME
So helpful
Maybe you know to remove this one? Psr 195
I don't I'm afraid mate, I've only ever done it on the PSR 275
Tried cleaning the plungers, all the dust and the contact keys with eraser and then rubbed in alcohol to no avail
Same here my own didn't work with alcohol
Thanks! I had one dead key and it was pretty dirty in there but it's working again!
I am not able to do the same with PSR-150, kindly post a video how to detach keys.
I don't have one of those - sorry!
I'm going to do the same cleaning on my Psr-740... I see the same mechanic.. Thank you!
where can I buy a manual for a yamaha psr275-keyboard

Thank you.Everett helpful!
Hey, we dont have a contact cleaner can i just use alchohol? Is that fine? Thanks!
Maybe! Read some of the comments I think someone used alcohol and it was all good
This was so close to what I needed. I need to remove the keys themselves because one is cracked
My A key only sometimes works and when it does its louder than normal or plays twice
clean it!
good job...wb40 will not work since its oily, the contact cleaner its the best !!!
Thanks for the tutorial! Okay. Thanks, man!
My Middle C is dead on the exact same model
Thank you!!!
i did this but its not working, then i tried with pencil, still not working as well
anyone pls?
it happend to me too i did every thing he said then tried to put the little board back in then it wouldn't lock in properly and kept falling out
Did you finally get a solution? I'm struggling with this too. Used a pencil but it didnt work. I dont know what else to use
Did you remember to top off the pets' water-dish?
shit! that's why the bloody thing died
Gonna try it on my psr 270. I’ll edit this comment if it works
How to clean without contact cleaner
All of mine is dead 💀
Not easy, board snapped..
Obviously you didnt release the black snap clips properly and pulled on the cct board too hard.
