I was married for almost 50yrs to a Narcissist. I didn't know about Narcissism. I endured all a Covert/Narc. has to deal out. Everything this webcam and others have revealed happened to me. I had 5 children to raise, nurture educate etc I had NO SUPPORT OF ANY KIND and I was CODEPENDANT and penniless. I went through hell. I was hurt and debased violated and every evil the narc could do. He had a female supply behind my back for 30yrs. He treated me with Contempt. I was once a beautiful confident and happy woman. When I married unknown to me I was being groomed. He turned away from the Marital Bed 3 months in. I was rejected. I found out many years later why this happened and I was appalled. He denied everything and continued to see supply. I was trailed through all types of torture. Was deprived of money for me and my children. He insisted I was the problem but would not consider discussion or other help." I'm not discussing my business with anyone else" I endured everything there is for the Narcissist to inflict. He drained and put me into ill health where I almost died due to the physical damage. All the Mind games and gas lighting threatened my Mental Health . However through Faith in GOD I had an Epiphany and I was awakened. I sought help and realised I had been living with a Covert/Malignant? Narcissist. I immediately started proceedings and I asked the Narc.to leave. It took him a year to go with me paying the bills etc as he pleaded poverty and threw me breadcrumbs and tried to love bomb me to get me back into his vicious web of evil. Yes I say evil because no human being should treat another human being the way a Narcissist does. It's Criminal. There are people behind bars for less. I am single 6 yrs now. My children are adults have achieved their degrees are married and settled with their beautiful clever children and collectively have blessed me with 16 grandchildren whom I love with All My Heart. The reason I am here to tell MY STORY. The x Narc. Is playing the Victim with them he is telling lies behind my back. He fakes aches and pains for attention and has the cheek to come sit beside me and talk small talk when at family occasions or grandchildren's birthday party's. I have had to inform my children I am uneasy with this. I have been NO CONTACT WITH THE NARC for about 3yrs. As he was turning up at my house ringing and texting me with a load of nonsense trying to rope me in. Hence the No Contact . However this suits him if he has access to the grandchildren and I don't. He is putting a wedge between them and me. I know in his sneaky subtle way he is telling lies and twisting the truth about what all he did to me. He would not answer my children when they all asked him to explain himself. All he said was "I am NOT apologising for something I didn't do". He admitted to me he was cheating in 2016 on holiday when I discovered lewd texts messages from the same female of thirty years who had even been in my home without my invitation and more. I have had great advice and good Counsel in my home town in N. Ireland. I have gained so much knowledge of Narcissism that I hope my story is heeded by young women and men out there. I think it should be brought into the curriculum in Secondary Schools and other venues so that others will be aware of the Consequences of living with and having anything to do with an Narcissist!.

I wish I had known about what a narcissist was 9 years ago and $200,000.00 ago. I was spinning in circles for years. Once I discovered what a narcissist was, I then understood it all and this gave me knowledge which gave me power. Thank you God in heaven for showing me the truth of what I was married to
I found out the liar was married after he never said a word about it ! He told me he didn't tell me.he was married because he forgot and tryst not to think about it ! Who the hell forgets they are married? That was the last straw and he said I wasn't able to handle the truth no I'm not going to let you treat me like I'm stupid I have a degree in psychology he doesn't have high school diploma 😅
I to wish I had known what a narcissist was. I only found out after being married to one after twenty six years of trying to figure out what was going on. After I divorced this evil, five years later I found out what he was. Developed PTSd. But thank God to Jesus it has been twenty years. He has found another victim who she thinks that he is gold. He is old, had a stroke, on dialysis an about to ask her to marry him.

So true. I had to move city 5 years ago. I didn't know anyone in this new city, but I met these narcissists. I've never known such narcissistic people before, so I was naive and overtrusting. Results that these demon narcissists destroyed my career in the new city, destroyed my house. They always showed up before some important job interview and they wanted to get me drunk, so figure out. Never again! From now on 100 times better alone than accompanied by a demon.
When my kids were little they would tell me my husband would call me a bitch when I was at work. They would tell me and it was so disturbing. So yes. They'll talk crap. They are very inappropriate.

I dared ignore 1 call and received 64 calls back to back because he suspected I was on date! Meanwhile he actively has a mistress and not hiding it from me.Got so furious when I finally answered .
The remedy for this: Accept the outcome or better yet--predict the outcome and completely disengage from them entirely --Forget about them completely. This is the ultimate result, can't effect what you can't reach.

@@tonya2 I suggest you seek a therapist for you to determine what steps to take. I can only share my experience and relate what measures I took. I asked myself a series of questions to determine whether I was reinforcing myself-image through the relationship and just what that image was. Much of what I saw in the relationship I had was 'projection' ignoring all ques and dismissing behaviors which were red flags of codependency. Once I accepted my role I took into account my participation in self deception.
Absolutely spot on! I had no clue what a narcissist was. until she called me one. I began to do homework on the subject and what I discovered blew me away. It was her that checked every block on every trait list I read. I started saving text messages and taking notes so she couldn't make me second guess myself. I tried to sit down with her very calmly and say say I'm not trying to hammer you ok. I want to know the truth of things that I know you lied to me about...I'm not upset or trying to lay the blame. Epic failure! She lost it and stormed off. I kept trying calmly and said it's ok to talk about it. Then the angry defensiveness came out. There is no adult conversation with a narcissist. None! They can't change...and when you think they are...it's a lie to manipulate you or tricking you into thinking they are changing....it's a lie! Run if you suspect your with one! Don't look back. It gets worse! It's a living nightmare filled with lies,betrayal, STD's, turn friends and family against you. they have zero empathy. This is how they do bad things so easily. They can't love you! Is this a narcissist when they make arrangements to meet you somewhere, but changes the place and then say "that the place i said",happens often, especially if you waited until they text and say "where are you" . Also they disregard your opinion and would carry on arguing forever, so you just say "whatever" as you don't want to argue. Gossips for information, so that if you say something they will say "oh I already know that"

If you have 5 children and no support of any kind. I did not want to put my children into the Care System where they would have been separated and lost for the rest of their lives. They were my joy so I put up with the abuse, and endured all I could. When the children became adults and settled in their marriages and the Narc hadn't changed his ways or tried to and was still cheating and admitted it. I could take no more. I asked him to go.

Once i found out i immediately began divorce proceedings - the deep Hurt is not easy to overcome but by standing up for myself at least the rollercoaster of ghosting, gaslighting and horrid projection is over!

@@tmo.48 Unfortunately, (and these are my personal feelings, only) many narcissists don't know "calm". I grew up in a very needy, chaotic, emotionally neglectful environment. Any attention from the opposite sex, was like handing a sandwich to a starving person. I'm not saying this is right. I am anguished by the fact that I could devastate someone's heart so. The blessing for them?: They have been in a loving marriage for30+ years, with someone who understood what it means to be a partner. Unless you grew up in a solid, stabile environment (one devoid of shame and harm), it is very difficult to sustain any relationship. Especially with someone truly loving. Sad but true. What doesn't seem to be considered, is that a split-second decision that alters the fate of two people, can also be caused by trauma; the catalyst? Fear. Fear of revealing how "bad" you are (shame). Even though most of the time you, yourself don't even understand why you trust the wrong people and push away the "right" people. It's a very confusing existence. I wish you Peace.

She always told me "HAPPY WIFE, HAPPY LIFE". How I feel, doesn't matter. She once said and believes that , "IF NO ONE SEES YOU, IT DIDN'T HAPPEN" that caused a big fight. No morals or ethics. She was going to the casino behind my back regularly, flushing money down the toilet. She knew I didn't like it, because I asked her to stop. I know she was cheating on me. The way she treated me in the beginning was great, but It slowly got worse. I never would have thought she could do the things she did, she turned out to be a psychopath. Now I know how Samson felt like when Delilah cut his hair off.
I am in the same situation but I am in too deep. No work. No place to live. At this point the only thing that can save my life is someone helping me with a place to sleep out of the rain and snow. I think I'm gonna freeze to death in some weeks.

When my ex-partner (if I can call them that anymore) chillingly said to me in passing conversation, 'treat them mean, kept them keen'. It sent chills down my spine!!
I truly didn't realize what I was dealing with for so long. He got me young, at only 13 years old. So, I thought the things he was doing to me were "normal". Divorced, got into an even more severely abusive relationship with a malignant this time rather than a covert. I finally know what to look out for. I've learned that that familiar feeling of "butterflies" in my stomach it's actually my gut trying to warn me. I realize now that people aren't simply people the way I thought before and that monsters really do exist. I've spent all of my life putting the man in my life first and feeling guilty for even needing my own basic needs. Now that I've finally escaped them...I've got so much healing to do.
That seems to be exactly what so many people say. Few people today had any understanding of that disorder 20-30 years ago, but today it is better known and recognized.

I have a relative who I could never quite figure out except she sure had a ton of excuses for stuff in her life if it did not work out and never her fault. As I studied the topic, I learned she was a big time Narc.

I realized that narcissists are aware of their own actions after my therapist opened my eyes on my relationship. If narcissists are capable of controlling their emotions in front of other people (parents, boss, friends etc….), then it means they know what exactly they are doing, and they understand the consequences of their actions.
You hit them all on the head. Looking back, it is almost laughable. He could never figure out how I knew what he was doing and with who... He had no clue how obvious his tells were.

If you are religious find scripture that makes you feel loved by your God or find positive loving mantras to speak to yourself when those realization come. I understand the trauma, change your life and refocus your thoughts. The abusers are trash. Bin them from your mind and precious life forever.

I had a business partner who was also good friend. He was so nice and fun to hangout with but I started to notice how he was constantly trying to assault my character and tear me down. This seemed really innocent at first like a friendly brotherly ribbing but something about it felt wrong to me. Over the time I knew him he was very dishonest in almost everything he did including theft. Long story short I had to cut ties with him completely and the business venture. He flipped out and started to subtly publicly assassinate my character and aggressively smear me to people we mutually knew. I cut all communication and didn’t respond to his efforts to make me come out and defend myself. He is clearly a very unhappy person.
I cannot wait to be free of this demon. I was going crazy for years but now that I know what I'm dealing with I have filed for a divorce. He has lovebombed me like I have never seen before. Your video is soooooooooo spot on. Thank you for further educating me.
It amazes me how spot on you are pertaining to the behaviors. I have been married for 30 years and I will tell you he hid who he really is very well. It's only been 8 years that I've discovered who he really is. I battle several chronic conditions and I truly beleive that being with him and enduring all his ugliness is contributing to the worsening of my ailments.
I was married twenty years. It was a dollar coaster. Just like my parents marriage. My husband's job often took him away. That's when he'd cheat. I read many , many books, trying to figure out what I was dealing with. I wish I knew then what I know. Narcissists play games. They want you to fight for them. At the divorce, outside the courtroom, his girlfriend was making "I won" fists. He looked devastated. He had told me he'd break away from her if I'd take him back. At that point I wanted revenge. So I let her have him. She was another narcissist. Now I am free, because I have a man who shares my life and his. He is the father and grandfather, now. I told the grandchildren when they were in their teens. They said, "Pa is our Dad". I present this because I want other women to know there is hope and love out there and a better life.
@desilanni2 Maybe--but only if you break out early enough. Often, we're discarded when we're too old to start again, and/or sick. If they have money and charm, they will always find new victims no matter how old, ugly and decrepit they are. My narc discarded me after I got cancer and had bilateral mastectomy.
THIS IS SO ACCURATE! my ex broke up with me. After 2 weeks, he was able to get a new supply and slept with another woman. Then he reached out to me and wants to comeback.. he said he never cheated because we are not in a relationship when he slept with another woman! CRAZY
Married in 81 to a covert narc. I always wondered and would even discuss with my Mom about how my narc and I would take 2 steps forward in our relationship/marriage then take 6 steps backwards. Just as soon as I thought we may be on the right path, he would have anger issues and just go silent over any inflated imaginated thing. Now that I know what I had been dealing with (learned he was a narc 2 years now), I find out why he would just throw away our "getting along" time within the first 3 minutes of this video. They get bored with getting along with you and need to stir up some drama. I am delighted to finally get an answer to that!
They hid in another room to get reloaded for more supply (cheating) this woman I no my narc is with date the deceased daughter now the moma . She did me a big favor . He stole , he choke , and never appreciated my loyalty .
I just ended a 7 year relationship with a Narc. I was emotionally drained. I told him he was trying to hurt me mentally. I could not eat or sleep because he kept me in distress. I know why my ex narc cheated & I was 100% responsible because I quit participating in his mind games & didn't let him bait me into his dramas. He found someone else & seemed to think there would be a catfight. I was really REALLY angry & relieved at the same time. Wrote him a check for half the checking acct, paid him half the equity in the house, agreed to lower child support in return for hands off my 401k. Been 20 yrs of peace.

My narcissist hurt me so much I got even. He was so shocked that I was capable of doing this but I had to protect myself and others I felt it necessary to expose their lies and behaviour. The rage he demonstrated afterwards was explosive. I've just found out he's now cheating on his wife again with a new lover and is now looking for more supply by joining a dating website. This man is so charming and generous he can charm anyone with his lies. He'll never stop!
Dating sites are full of narcissist. That's where l met mine. Then he went back on to find his next victim..maybe he never even went off the site & was still on it while we were together . Still trying to recover from this 5 year nightmare
Some of them have Improvised Explosive Disorder they will lash out in a rage they cannot control even if it leads to death. If they go into a rage stop arguing and try to get physically away from them.
@@topkat8268 that's exactly where I met mine too. Then a few months later, I saw he was on plenty of fish fishing for new supply trying to figure out when he was going to meet up with her. After everything I did for him AND his kids, I was GRRREAT to him and his kids and he still shitted on me and did ALL of the classic tactics and behaviors the narcissist does. Just for him to try to come back begging and pleading to be back with me. Smfh. I will NEVER go back to that hell

They also have this habit of damaging the reputations of a former supply by all means possible and are also successful in this by talking about the former supply in highly suspect ways--as if the "supply" were stalking them or other frowned upon lie to become the center of attention.
Yep. And she "knew" who's car was parked out front and when I left.. like the cheating accusations, lies and accusatory stance on everything. Turns out she was doing what she was accusing. My dumb for falling for her fakery far past obvious signs. At the very end she was telling me she heard a whistle sound and caught someone prowling and hacking Trails later to accuse me of it.. we argued much about what I did with my time during times of us not talking.. so as to not talk about what/she was doing.. the whole time I'm thinking pore her she had a bad life, that's why she doesn't trust very well. Duh. I feel stupid thinking happy sober after thoughts, while going along with her suggestions, I sometimes questioned who was the worst narcissist cuz I haven't given up pot for her. They will have you questioning dang near everything.
This is beyond true! My relationship with my husband was totally fine, I was a great wife. I worked 40 hrs, cooked, cleaned, sex was amazing for 20 years!! He was cheating for ten or maybe all of it. He blamed me, then took responsibility for ten minutes and then back to blaming me. He cheated on me, cheated on the home wrecking side piece and always has someone waiting on the bench….
One of the saddest parts of being married to a Narc is that you could have given them everything, and that would not have been enough. There is too little appreciation for your time, energy, and very little acknowledgment for your skills and talents to make a comfortable home life. I had to leave, and glad I did.

I hope you get out of that situation when you can. You can try having non perishable food in Totes or plastic crates in your car and cold cuts and such in a plastic cooler in your car with ice from the convenience store. They also have small camping fridges you can charge with solar panels but they are pricey.

I literally lost myself… he still harasses me til this day.. he beated and cheated on me until I left and then went to live with her once he put me and the kids out

It's a revelation to me. I just found out the person I fell in love with is a narcissist. Everything you said makes sense. As soon as I found aut what is he about I put a stop to the craving I have for this person. I am angry I spent the last year chasing this person and he was very rude, deceptive and cruel to me. You described the narcissist I have dealt with all my life to a tee. Only it wasn't my spouse. It was my daughter. She is everything you said. Once she'd get a guy who really loved her, she'd cheat on him, throw him away like trash and move on to another. I could never understand this behavior. Once I had one of her boyfriends call me inconsolable after she broke up with him. She had a baby so he not only lost her, was frantically trying to figure out what he did wrong but he lost the baby, too. It wasn't his but he loved her like his own. She's never been a loving daughter to me, always trashing me behind my back when I was the best single mom I could be. She always demanded more than her sister and I would give her more but it never made her love me. It was never enough. About a yr ago we had a big blow out and instead of talking about it she just threw me out of her life. It was very painful. I could never do that to her and thought she just held old grudges from her childhood because she said I villainized her. I just remember praising her a lot. If she did bad I reprimanded her for it. Dad did nothing, didn't pay attention to them. I gave her everything but to her I was the villain and he was the good one. From your video and Dr. Ramani's my eyes have been opened. I stopped blaming myself and have stopped trying to have a loving relationship with a person who is obsessed with herself, a person who will never love me. Just like my mother and sister. We are five siblings I am the youngest the next older is full-blown narcissist as far back as I can remember. So far she's managed to take the family house and put my mother into a retirement village. Then last year my mother wanted to sell the village and come to live with me with my special needs brother. Mother sold the retirement village and had extra money but sister refuses to let her touch it. Mother went to a lawyer and as soon as sister got the paperwork came and got my mother and we haven't seen her in 2 months not a word. So she got all the property and money. My disabled brother doesn't understand why mom is gone and there's nothing we can do. She brow beats and possesses my mom to the extreme.
The theory of why children become narcissists, and this is only a tiny part of the theory, they have one parent who chastises and is overly disciplining, could also be unconcerned , whilst the other parent over compensates and lavishes love and affection, giving into them for most things they ask for and meeting their every whim.

This is so true I went through everything said here behind closed door, fining nude pictures of Ex’s, Texting, going to Their Ex’s house and saying they are at work, physical abuse, lying constantly, making me feel like I was out of order and crazy but they were just Gaslighting me! I went through a lot behind closed doors and every time I left I looked like the crazy and in indecisive one! Smh! Live only in love and refuse bitterness. Speak it out loud! Do not give up your life to a piece of trash! A child who is spoiled and abusing people. Treat him/her as a devious child. Then you will realize you are way above them mentally. Once the divorce is final only communicate via email if needed. Distance. No contact. Eliminate this person from your life and start over. Don’t immediately react and pray and meditate to only address with calmness and concise messages what your expectations are. It is a road but it has happiness at the end called learning to build boundaries that protect your heart, mind and soul as well as any family in your circle. You will learn that you are so strong and you will never be shackled by these type of people again! I also recommend reading Exodus in the Bible! It is such a symbolic read and you will understand it in a way you have never known before! It will become a source on inspiration and you will understand 700 years to a tribe of utter slavers by narc pharaohs. Read it from a personal and a world view. You got this with your higher power! My ex definitely emotionally cheated on me. I saw messages on her Instagram and Snapchat once. She never physically cheated, but she would get her emotional supply from others and then tell me I wasn’t trying, when really I had started calling her out for emotional cheating. When I was finally fed up and told her to leave, she blew up, turned it around on me, blamed everything on me and accused ME of cheating with zero proof. Narcissists do not live in our reality. I found out many years later why this happened and I was appalled. He denied everything and continued to see supply.
I was trailed through all types of torture. Was deprived of money for me and my children. He insisted I was the problem but would not consider discussion or other help." I'm not discussing my business with anyone else"
I endured everything there is for the Narcissist to inflict. He drained and put me into ill health where I almost died due to the physical damage. All the Mind games and gas lighting threatened my Mental Health . However through Faith in GOD I had an Epiphany and I was awakened. He fakes aches and pains for attention and has the cheek to come sit beside me and talk small talk when at family occasions or grandchildren's birthday party's. I have had to inform my children I am uneasy with this. I have been NO CONTACT WITH THE NARC for about 3yrs. As he was turning up at my house ringing and texting me with a load of nonsense trying to rope me in. Hence the No Contact . However this suits him if he has access to the grandchildren and I don't. He is putting a wedge between them and me. I know in his sneaky subtle way he is telling lies and twisting the truth about what all he did to me. He would not answer my children when they all asked him to explain himself. All he said was "I am NOT apologising for something I didn't do". He admitted to me he was cheating in 2016 on holiday when I discovered lewd texts messages from the same female of thirty years who had even been in my home without my invitation and more.
I have had great advice and good Counsel in my home town in N. Ireland. I have gained so much knowledge of Narcissism that I hope my story is heeded by young women and men out there. I think it should be brought into the curriculum in Secondary Schools and other venues so that others will be aware of the Consequences of living with and having anything to do with an Narcissist!.

@@tonya2 I suggest you seek a therapist for you to determine what steps to take. I can only share my experience and relate what measures I took. I asked myself a series of questions to determine whether I was reinforcing myself-image through the relationship and just what that image was. Much of what I saw in the relationship I had was 'projection' ignoring all ques and dismissing behaviors which were red flags of codependency. Once I accepted my role I took into account my participation in self deception.

Absolutely spot on! I had no clue what a narcissist was. until she called me one. I began to do homework on the subject and what I discovered blew me away.
It was her that checked every block on every trait list I read. I started saving text messages and taking notes so she couldn't make me second guess myself. I tried to sit down with her very calmly and say say I'm not trying to hammer you ok. I want to know the truth of things that I know you lied to me about...I'm not upset or trying to lay the blame. Epic failure! She lost it and stormed off. I kept trying calmly and said it's ok to talk about it. Then the angry defensiveness came out. There is no adult conversation with a narcissist. None! They can't change...and when you think they are...it's a lie to manipulate you or tricking you into thinking they are changing....it's a lie! Run if you suspect your with one! Don't look back. It gets worse! It's a living nightmare filled with lies,betrayal, STD's, turn friends and family against you. they have zero empathy. This is how they do bad things so easily. They can't love you! Also they disregard your opinion and would carry on arguing forever, so you just say "whatever" as you don't want to argue. They were my joy so I put up with the abuse, and endured all I could. @@tmo.48 Unfortunately, (and these are my personal feelings, only) many narcissists don't know "calm". I grew up in a very needy, chaotic, emotionally neglectful environment. Any attention from the opposite sex, was like handing a sandwich to a starving person. I'm not saying this is right. I am anguished by the fact that I could devastate someone's heart so. The blessing for them?: They have been in a loving marriage for30+ years, with someone who understood what it means to be a partner. Unless you grew up in a solid, stabile environment (one devoid of shame and harm), it is very difficult to sustain any relationship. Especially with someone truly loving. Sad but true. What doesn't seem to be considered, is that a split-second decision that alters the fate of two people, can also be caused by trauma; the catalyst? Fear. Fear of revealing how "bad" you are (shame). Even though most of the time you, yourself don't even understand why you trust the wrong people and push away the "right" people. It's a very confusing existence.

She was going to the casino behind my back regularly, flushing money down the toilet. She knew I didn't like it, because I asked her to stop. I know she was cheating on me. The way she treated me in the beginning was great, but It slowly got worse. I never would have thought she could do the things she did, she turned out to be a psychopath. Now I know how Samson felt like when Delilah cut his hair off.
Its a shock to think you know someone, someone you fall in love with, and they turn out to be a heartless monster. Its the cruelest experience.

I truly didn't realize what I was dealing with for so long. He got me young, at only 13 years old. So, I thought the things he was doing to me were "normal". Divorced, got into an even more severely abusive relationship with a malignant this time rather than a covert. I finally know what to look out for. I've learned that that familiar feeling of "butterflies" in my stomach it's actually my gut trying to warn me. I realize now that people aren't simply people the way I thought before and that monsters really do exist. I've spent all of my life putting the man in my life first and feeling guilty for even needing my own basic needs. Now that I've finally escaped them...I've got so much healing to do.
That seems to be exactly what so many people say. Few people today had any understanding of that disorder 20-30 years ago, but today it is better known and recognized.

I realized that narcissists are aware of their own actions after my therapist opened my eyes on my relationship. If narcissists are capable of controlling their emotions in front of other people (parents, boss, friends etc….), then it means they know what exactly they are doing, and they understand the consequences of their actions.
They are so fake and have an over blowned image of theselves. Like everyone likes me. It's sickening and they have zero to offer.

If you are religious find scripture that makes you feel loved by your God or find positive loving mantras to speak to yourself when those realization come. I understand the trauma, change your life and refocus your thoughts. The abusers are trash. Bin them from your mind and precious life forever.

I had a business partner who was also good friend. He was so nice and fun to hangout with but I started to notice how he was constantly trying to assault my character and tear me down. This seemed really innocent at first like a friendly brotherly ribbing but something about it felt wrong to me. Over the time I knew him he was very dishonest in almost everything he did including theft. Long story short I had to cut ties with him completely and the business venture. He flipped out and started to subtly publicly assassinate my character and aggressively smear me to people we mutually knew. I cut all communication and didn’t respond to his efforts to make me come out and defend myself. He is clearly a very unhappy person.

It amazes me how spot on you are pertaining to the behaviors. I have been married for 30 years and I will tell you he hid who he really is very well. It's only been 8 years that I've discovered who he really is. I battle several chronic conditions and I truly beleive that being with him and enduring all his ugliness is contributing to the worsening of my ailments.

I was married twenty years. It was a dollar coaster. Just like my parents marriage. My husband's job often took him away. That's when he'd cheat. I read many , many books, trying to figure out what I was dealing with. I wish I knew then what I know. Narcissists play games. They want you to fight for them.
At the divorce, outside the courtroom, his girlfriend was making "I won" fists. He looked devastated. He had told me he'd break away from her if I'd take him back. At that point I wanted revenge. So I let her have him. She was another narcissist.
Now I am free, because I have a man who shares my life and his. He is the father and grandfather, now. I told the grandchildren when they were in their teens. They said, "Pa is our Dad".
I present this because I want other women to know there is hope and love out there and a better life.
@desilanni2 Maybe--but only if you break out early enough. Often, we're discarded when we're too old to start again, and/or sick. If they have money and charm, they will always find new victims no matter how old, ugly and decrepit they are.

Married in 81 to a covert narc. I always wondered and would even discuss with my Mom about how my narc and I would take 2 steps forward in our relationship/marriage then take 6 steps backwards. Now that I know what I had been dealing with (learned he was a narc 2 years now), I find out why he would just throw away our "getting along" time within the first 3 minutes of this video. I just ended a 7 year relationship with a Narc. I was emotionally drained. I told him he was trying to hurt me mentally. I could not eat or sleep because he kept me in distress. My narcissist hurt me so much I got even. He was so shocked that I was capable of doing this but I had to protect myself and others I felt it necessary to expose their lies and behaviour. The rage he demonstrated afterwards was explosive. I've just found out he's now cheating on his wife again with a new lover and is now looking for more supply by joining a dating website. This man is so charming and generous he can charm anyone with his lies. He'll never stop!

Some of them have Improvised Explosive Disorder they will lash out in a rage they cannot control even if it leads to death. If they go into a rage stop arguing and try to get physically away from them.

Yep. And she "knew" who's car was parked out front and when I left.. like the cheating accusations, lies and accusatory stance on everything. Turns out she was doing what she was accusing. My dumb for falling for her fakery far past obvious signs.
At the very end she was telling me she heard a whistle sound and caught someone prowling and hacking Trails later to accuse me of it.. we argued much about what I did with my time during times of us not talking.. so as to not talk about what/she was doing.. the whole time I'm thinking pore her she had a bad life, that's why she doesn't trust very well. Duh. I feel stupid thinking happy sober after thoughts, while going along with her suggestions, I sometimes questioned who was the worst narcissist cuz I haven't given up pot for her. This is beyond true! My relationship with my husband was totally fine, I was a great wife. I worked 40 hrs, cooked, cleaned, sex was amazing for 20 years!! He was cheating for ten or maybe all of it. He blamed me, then took responsibility for ten minutes and then back to blaming me. He cheated on me, cheated on the home wrecking side piece and always has someone waiting on the bench….

One of the saddest parts of being married to a Narc is that you could have given them everything, and that would not have been enough. There is too little appreciation for your time, energy, and very little acknowledgment for your skills and talents to make a comfortable home life. I had to leave, and glad I did.

You can try having non perishable food in Totes or plastic crates in your car and cold cuts and such in a plastic cooler in your car with ice from the convenience store. They also have small camping fridges you can charge with solar panels but they are pricey.

This is true… my ex would cheat and then beat on me for confronting him.. he would throw her up in my face and degrade me in front of ppl every chance he got.. I literally lost myself… he still harasses me til this day.. he beated and cheated on me until I left and then went to live with her once he put me and the kids out

It's a revelation to me. I just found out the person I fell in love with is a narcissist. Everything you said makes sense. As soon as I found aut what is he about I put a stop to the craving I have for this person. I am angry I spent the last year chasing this person and he was very rude, deceptive and cruel to me. You described the narcissist I have dealt with all my life to a tee. Only it wasn't my spouse. It was my daughter. She is everything you said. Once she'd get a guy who really loved her, she'd cheat on him, throw him away like trash and move on to another. I could never understand this behavior. Once I had one of her boyfriends call me inconsolable after she broke up with him. She had a baby so he not only lost her, was frantically trying to figure out what he did wrong but he lost the baby, too. It wasn't his but he loved her like his own. She's never been a loving daughter to me, always trashing me behind my back when I was the best single mom I could be. She always demanded more than her sister and I would give her more but it never made her love me. It was never enough. About a yr ago we had a big blow out and instead of talking about it she just threw me out of her life. It was very painful. I could never do that to her and thought she just held old grudges from her childhood because she said I villainized her. I just remember praising her a lot. If she did bad I reprimanded her for it. Dad did nothing, didn't pay attention to them. I gave her everything but to her I was the villain and he was the good one. From your video and Dr. Ramani's my eyes have been opened. I stopped blaming myself and have stopped trying to have a loving relationship with a person who is obsessed with herself, a person who will never love me. This has helped me let go and I'm thankful for your in depth description. It was like you were talking about her, that's how right on your were with your description.

Just like my mother and sister. We are five siblings I am the youngest the next older is full-blown narcissist as far back as I can remember. So far she's managed to take the family house and put my mother into a retirement village. Then last year my mother wanted to sell the village and come to live with me with my special needs brother. Mother sold the retirement village and had extra money but sister refuses to let her touch it. Mother went to a lawyer and as soon as sister got the paperwork came and got my mother and we haven't seen her in 2 months not a word. So she got all the property and money. My disabled brother doesn't understand why mom is gone and there's nothing we can do. She brow beats and possesses my mom to the extreme.

The theory of why children become narcissists, and this is only a tiny part of the theory, they have one parent who chastises and is overly disciplining, could also be unconcerned , whilst the other parent over compensates and lavishes love and affection, giving into them for most things they ask for and meeting their every whim.

This is so true I went through everything said here behind closed door, fining nude pictures of Ex’s, Texting, going to Their Ex’s house and saying they are at work, physical abuse, lying constantly, making me feel like I was out of order and crazy but they were just Gaslighting me! I went through a lot behind closed doors and every time I left I looked like the crazy and in indecisive one! Smh! But it’s my own fault because at in the beginning of our relationship they openly told me that they were diagnosed with narcissistic personality disorder but in all fairness I had no idea what narcissistic personality disorder was I didn’t find out until about a year into the relationship when I started noticing reoccurring behaviors, we tried therapy for the narcissistic personality disorder but they never stuck it out and now here I am in therapy because the relationship drove ME crazy SMH

I am sitting here with my mouth open. My entire year was spent experiencing all the things in this video. I'm relieved, angry, and hurt. I began no contact sometime ago, best thing I did for my mental health. He discarded me sometime ago but I didn't realize what was happening. Mirroring his behavior did it. If you are religious or have mantras that are positive repeat them when the waves of realization come to mind. Live only in love and refuse bitterness. Speak it out loud! Do not give up your life to a piece of trash! A child who is spoiled and abusing people. Treat him/her as a devious child. Then you will realize you are way above them mentally.
Once the divorce is final only communicate via email if needed.
Distance. No contact. Eliminate this person from your life and start over. Don’t immediately react and pray and meditate to only address with calmness and concise messages what your expectations are. It is a road but it has happiness at the end called learning to build boundaries that protect your heart, mind and soul as well as any family in your circle. You will learn that you are so strong and you will never be shackled by these type of people again! I also recommend reading Exodus in the Bible! It is such a symbolic read and you will understand it in a way you have never known before! It will become a source on inspiration and you will understand 700 years to a tribe of utter slavers by narc pharaohs. Read it from a personal and a world view. You got this with your higher power! Believe it that living by a spiritual code is happiness! Protection then will be abundance!

Also, you cannot inflict an emotional wound upon a Nar. They lack the "depth" to understand,?maybe? an emotional wound.

When I have missed messages or don't respond right away, I get accused of doing something else or punished with the silent treatment. Just like a child would throw a tantrum when they don't get their own way. It's exhausting but you have provided plenty of signs that now I believe I can observe going toward. Thank you

My ex definitely emotionally cheated on me. I saw messages on her Instagram and Snapchat once. She never physically cheated, but she would get her emotional supply from others and then tell me I wasn’t trying, when really I had started calling her out for emotional cheating. When I was finally fed up and told her to leave, she blew up, turned it around on me, blamed everything on me and accused ME of cheating with zero proof. Narcissists do not live in our reality. They have their own little bubble.

Exactly. Have been through the same situation brother. It's hard to move on and see someone being totally different to what we actually thought they were. But, it's necessary to move on and welcome better things into one's life.

My advise to anyone reading this is as follows..if you see any red flags early on in your relationship RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN!! Unfortunately it took me a long time to figure out the ways of a narcissistic/Sociopath/Cluster B human- ( I wasted precious years of my life with this personthat I will never be able to get back) I will be gone soon & trust me ..I will never look back.

I mourn for the man he pretended to be, not for who he really is, a cold-blooded monster, devoid of everything that makes a decent human being. He's like one of those carnivorous plants that lure their pray with nectar, but has an insatiable appetite that no woman or anything can ever satisfy.

One of the greatest all-around videos I have seen on narcissism. It's all explained in layman's terms. I wish I would have had this video but I uncovered what a narcissist is later in life. When I grew up, I was totally devastated, hating myself, without any selfconfidence, remembering I have no right to anything. Felt like a middle ages slave. I took care of her till her last day of her life and fighting for my own life at the same time. She was determined to kill me before she leaves. The horrible thing is she did all in her power turn my son, since his early years, against me. She used him actually and made a narc of him. He is so devious and sadistic as well. Turned all the family, neighbours, my friends .. against me. Thanks to your educational videos it is possible to get stronger and stand firmly on one´s feet. God bless you.
