For the Nikon Prostaff model, someone said to set the diopter, you pull the ring up the barrel towards the eyepiece and then focus. Once the focus is set, you push the ring back down. Is that accurate? (I wanted to check because that wasn't mentioned on this video).
Thank you for your vid! Quick question. Can I start calibration from the right? Why it's important using left side first rather than right?I don't see any difference... Regards
Would have recognized that head of hair a mile away, even without binoculars! Hope you're well Tony! I just got a pair of Prostaff 7s 10x30 to through in the camera bag. Cannot for the life of me figure out how to attach the front covers to the strap. They are to separate caps and they each have a loop in them with a slit . I know they'll get lost in a heartbeat.
thanks for explaining this. My Nikon binocs are loose & no longer hold in place, rather they collapse on my nose. Is there a way to tight the mechanism
Hi. I wanted to buy binocular for traveling, supervision, bird watching, but I cannot choose model. Can you help me with choosing model of binocular? My budget 150-200$. Now I watch 2 brands. Nikon and Vortex. So, my questions: 1. Nikon Prostaff 7S or Vortex Diamondback? 2. Sizes and magnification, 8×42, 8×50, 10×42, 10×50 which one the better?
If possible, try different pairs before buying. I recommend 8 X 42 Nikons. If size & weight is an issue, the new 8 X 30 Monarchs are a remarkable option - small, light, clear and with an excellent field of view, you can wear them all day long.
In Step 4, why did you have to use the right barrel adjustment knob to set the right eye focus? why wasn't the left barrel adjustment knob used to adjust the left eye focus but instead the central focus knob? it's just confusing.
I have a question. When I cover my right eye I can not see anything through the left lens(the caps are OFF) lol. I'm ok when I cover the left lens I can see through the right. What could be going on here?I do have a lazy left eye though maybe that's the problem. Any ideas?
Hello there. I'm watching from Turkey. I will take this model. Binoculars are very expensive in Turkey. I'm torn between the two models. Do you think Nikon Aculon 10x42 or Nikon prostaff 3s 10x42?
Aculon are cheaper , and porro prism model images will have a 3D effect to it , but they weigh almost 900 grams and are not truly waterproof on the other hand prostaff weigh lighter and have roof prism model therefore ergonomically easier to use , and also lenses are Multi coated , and waterproof but costlier than aculon.
my problem is if i look carefully i can make my eye focus without touching the focus control on the binocular. it works most of the time if the focus is set around the optimum setting. so i have problem getting the "real" focus adjustment on the bino without straining my eyes to adjust. does it happens to somebody else?
Both methods are equally effective. I find placing my hand over the barrel opposite to the one being focused as being much less awkward. Besides, when you're doing this exercise in the field, lens caps might not be readily available. Another way to do this is by simply keeping the one eye open of the barrel being focused.
Guys its a request pls don't buy Nikon Aculon A211 series from Flipkart I am a Plus customer and had very bad experience with their 8x42,7x50,10x50 series as the seller is Retailnet which is If i am correct its Flipkart itself and all these Binoculars were repaired as I was finding difficulty focussing and on further investigation by using mobile flashlight through the objective lense i could clearly see some white tape with glue on them, I spoke with Flipkart escalations even sent them the pictures of the same as a great brand like Nikon was being sold and user experience was being spoiled. However Flipkart dis not post my reveiw and Pictures sayin moderation failed so please when you buy do check for repairs as its not brand new even with seal. 🙏
Nice vid- Tone- But, 3 of my binoculars, Nikon Prostaff 3, Venturer II, never used, and a Travelite V, sent to me from Nikon as a replacement for a defective set- is now out of collimation 2 years down the road! what the FUCK is wrong with Nikon binocs! - I have 4 Nikon cameras and a dozen old nikkor lens, high dollar lens- why do your binoculars go out of parallel- right out of the box~
2022 and this still is a great video, learned more in this old video than any other . Thx
Wow, this is the best explanation on how to adjust my binoculars. Thanks Tony
I guess it's kinda randomly asking but do anybody know a good place to stream newly released movies online?
@Lucas Bentley i would suggest FlixZone. Just search on google for it :)

Yes, on my Prostaff P7, the dioptre locks. I can't comment on other models in the Prostaff lineup.
Thank you! I can finally see out of both eyes!!!
Very simple and clearly explained, thanks.
Easy...Great video
Great video just picked up Monarch 5 12×42 adjusted all my binos thanks to this video. Thoughts on the 12×42 Tony? Thanks!
Thanks Tony, God Bless.
Helpfull video thanks sir👍
thanks! excelent explanation

If your binoculars have the diopter in the right side,it's better to adjust the left side first and then adjust the right side with diopter.
Depends on which side diopter is , on the binoculars
Would have recognized that head of hair a mile away, even without binoculars! Hope you're well Tony!

I ordered Vortex diamondback 10×42. And this binocular very good.
Very nice 👍🏻

There is no left barrel focus knob, only on the right barrel is the focusing knob
Thank you 🙏
So I have glasses should I screw in when adjusting ?

See an eye doctor
thank you sir

I dropped my Bausch and Lomb binoculars and now the two images don’t line up.Can this be corrected?
Depends if there are screws to adjust the prisms. Are they porro or roofs?

Lucky you! You're still young enough to make your eyes focus ;)
@@treeintheforest5852 you must be jinxing me, i am starting to lose my hair as we speak!

instead of putting your hand over the lens why not make it way less awkward and just put the lens cap over

Who do i know my nikon monarch 7 is original not fake espically if it made in china ??
Why no CC? There's a lot of non-english-speaking or def watchers who cannot understand just hearing. No thumbs up.
I love binoculars but I don’t get bird watching, I mean I know ppl love it but what’s to watch?? They just chill in a tree.. no offence to anyone.
They’re quite pretty up close and cute!
And they do other things, like eating, making nests, and sipping nectar which are all cool in my opinion
Please get a haircut bro. You are representing a company and should look professional and not like a homeless person who just walked in.
