- This sankararAbharaNam is very special. You can almost hear Mali's creative mind at work. After each period of silence (there are many here) he comes out with something new and unexpected, yet fitting perfectly well with each piece. This is not one for the purists, as he breaks some rules, like resting in "ni" for periods of time as one would do with kalyANi. Any other artist would not have gotten away with such acts! At the end of the alApana, the kriti is whisked away quickly, as if it does not matter when creativity is the main call here.
Thanks to one of the commentators, the kriti has been identifies as sahajaguNa rAma by Harikesanallur Muthiah Bhagavathar.
Thanks always for. Flute mali the. Everest in this sort ofmusic
Mali-Mac(dowel)-Magic- Music- Melody - Marvelous. Dance Of Shankarabharana(Naga)

Exactly!! For a second, I was confused whether he has transitioned into kalyANi!
Touching unheard bhavas of the ragam. Superb🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
peerless mAli and peerless shankarAbharaNam.. TNK's accompaniment is so much soulful
My heartfelt thanks to whoever made this possibile to hear Mali at his best. To hear clear and precise elaboration of raga San karabharana with his inimitable style is a rare treat.
This is Sahajagunarama, a composition of Harikesanallur Muthiah Bhagavathar. I heard Mali play this in Madras Museum Theatre in about 1950. I have been wanting to hear it again for so many years. Thank you bery much for posting it.
Thought so. Thanks for confirming.

ganeshan viswanathan " consensually
So much inspiring..
Awesome
25:45 to 26:35 TRM realized the Brahman within him. Never heard something like this before by anyone else in the usually conservative Sankarabaranam.
And just when the sound of mridangam being tuned implies that they thought the alapana was over!
superb!
thanks....
One more request. Could you post Rama Niyada ,Kharahapriya song rendered by Mali, if you have it?
I do have this in a reel-to-reel tape. I will upload it in due course provided that the recorder still works.
The violinist is definitely not TN Krishnan. (Coming from a violinist.)
Any guesses?
@@bestofcarnaticflute2736 Not at the moment, but will try to find out and let you know.
