I've been eating sushi since i was 3 years old. Im 20 now, and have seen sushi chef's from all over Denmark. Both Danish, French, American, English, and of course Japanese chef's. I've seen their magic, and i've seen impressive pieces, and impressive work. And tasted sushi that easily beats all foods i've tried. I've eaten sushi at a place for 2000 DKK (2K to eat all you ant, usually its 180 DKK). And that asnt just th best food i've ever tried. It was the best chef's i've ever seen. And i've even made sushi myself many times. And yeah, this guy is seriously impressive. Trust me hn i say, this guy could be one of the chef's at the 2000 DKK place, and he'd probably be underpaid. He is that good. Just simple casual work like this is what i'd be struggling with for hours. And he makes it look super easy. And of course this is simple stuff, but trust me, this guy is seriously good. And creative too. I wish i could be your camera man my guy. All payment i'd need would be your masterpieces. Keep on the great work. Also, i think i'll stick to normal rice. I can tell Hiro will too lol.
Love watching this chef. I still make his fried rice recipe at least 2-3 times a month. People are amazed that a white dude like me can make such a spectacular fried rice.
I am amazed ( a white dude) as you say it, thinks that it’s spectacular that you can cook fried rice and not be Asian! WTF? Do you even think before you type garbage?
@@Dinkum_Aussie While his coment is quite stupid.... I think it's fair to assume that at least half of the population has no clue at all HOW to cook at all.
@@Dinkum_Aussie Nice reading comprehension. He wrote that PEOPLE are amazed that he can cook fried rice. So they think only asians can do it not himself bro wtf
Its an old ancient way of cooking rice. You boil till the rice open up then you put the rice in a bamboo basket to steam with the balance water to dry. The rice will come out separate & not clump up. So in your normal rice cooker you place the metal plate with hole (which comes with the rice cooker) in the bottom of the pot & scoop up the rice & press button to steam it with the balance water. No clump up.rice.
Traditionally before the advent of electric rice cookers, rice is cooked, strained when nearly cooked, and let simmer to completion which allows for the removal of nearly all starchiness. New rice and most Asian rice tend to have high starch and carb contents except Indian Basmati. There is always Texas long grain rice that's always low starch, fluffy, and cheap though hardened when cold. This rice cooker looks more like a steamer than a cooker.
Really liked the sushi made on this video. He was cooking while almost only advertising was made in comment. Happy that you have sponsors but it is a sponsor on the recipe and not a recipe during the advertisement.
Yay for Toshiba! I need this high tech cooker too. I always cook my rice with a pot on a stove. The rice always sticks to the bottom of the pan, which isn't good.
Stop stirring the rice. Only stir it little right before water boils then turn heat down put lid on and let it cook without ANY stirring. Then let it rest after cooking and your rice shouldn't stick to the pot, it'll want to stick to everything else though like your hands and cutlery.
Love the video, but I'm not sure Hiro is 100% in love with the low-carb sushi rice. After all, what is so great about regular sushi rice is the stickiness and how dense it is
The low carb is in comparison lower carb, with patented extra removal slow steamed rice cooker... love how you can see the results... leaves room for the rice to leave behind the cooked rice starch, not just the washed off enitial... looks great. Toshiba makes a quality unit 🍷🍸🎩
@@Dinkum_Aussie According to Toshiba, when you put the second pot in and put it on the low carb setting the cooker senses when the digestible starches seap into the water and sucks it into a basket underneath. So there is plausible science behind it.
I know I’m a bit of a savage, but I literally salivate every time I see all that fish in the shop window whenever Hiroyuki buys some fish for preparation.
I know they have to promote the rice cooker. But the video was more about how perfect super amazing awsome the rice cooker is then it was about the spicy tuna. It felt like after having to sit thought the adds you just looked at one big advertisement again.
This has given me hope. I have cancer (treatment done and stable) and have tried to eat a low carb diet, (keto when I can) but this machine has given me hope of enjoying Sushi potentially again, and more importantly food! One last question Hiro what knife are you using in this video? I want something similar maybe cheaper lol
you must take propolis natural and royal jelly and fibre. ie everything in season and with husk such as wholemeal flour, sourdough, olive oil only no meat or chicken but take fish every day . eat plenty of greens and vegetables and fruits in season. no dairy products, no eggs, no food with preservatives or tins of food or colours, no sugar and additives . become vegan during the treatments drink herbs and take honey hopefully you will restore your cells and create a healthy system. good luck
Im hypertensive. Hope i can find a low risk lechon belly as well to eat with the low carb rice. Sushi looks great tasty. Love that wooden shaping tool btw
HIRO,Hello, these look wonderful & tasty, but with the little rice that I do cook, would not be practical to use this rice unit, but it obviously does make a difference.stay well,🇯🇵🇯🇵🇺🇸🇺🇸
Beautiful and looks very tasty. can you give more information for the kimchi sauce? I looked for it at the Korean market and I could not find it. Thanks!
What kind of fuel does your burner use? I bought one that uses Butane and it says not to use it indoors. I bought it to make Takoyaki and since it said that I used the pan on my electric stove which turned out fine.

I love watching the show same time learning new things but i have a question all other sushi chefs say use wooden bowl and wooden spoon I never see hero do that why ?
Hiro does have and uses his Hangiri Sushi Oke (wooden mixing tub) very often. He has it drying on his counter. The plastic shamoji (rice paddle) he is using usually comes with the rice cooker. There are times he may use other things to show how it can be done with other common tools.

Loving the new style nigiri as shown here and the stained glass mackerel.
Thank you chef, nothing like seeing a real sushi chef at work, even if I’m not as good I learned from the best.
What a wonderful concept. Low carb and we still get to enjoy our favorites. 😋🍣😋

Low carb sushi? That looked amazing as always chef Hiro!!

I have never seen low carb sushi before. That looks really good. I hope you and your cameraman, Charles, have a good afternoon. Cheers, Chef Hiro!
If you search on the internet this kind of technology is actually a gimmick. There's no significant reduction to sugar/carb content.
I like it when the chef go “tastes normal” 😂

What? You realise a toaster can’t make your bread low carb as this cooker does nothing but heat the water and cook the rice same as every rice cooker

I totally see the difference, one major thing you removed is when the plate fell out of your hand when you put it in the cooler.
