    I find that European journalists focus only on the music, lyrics and inspiration. British journalists ask things like ‘what biscuit would you describe yourself as?’

    Few things: 1 - Good interviewer 2 - sweet guys with a non-repulsive attitude 3 - well-articulate, patient and genuine answers, they literally said the bar was too low to explain their success hasdfhsdf 4 - love how Lias checks on others when he realises he's taking too much space. worth following these lads till the end

    I'm relatively new to the band but find everything they have done - FWF, Insecure Men and Moonlandingz - wonderful. Can just keep the mesmerising music on repeat and absorb the commentary and humour in the lyrics. Punk ethos, allied to real melodies that take root and a craftsmanship that surpasses anything that sounds, contrived or mechanical. Real songwriters, with something to say but somehow the end product sounds flexible and free.

    Enjoyable interview - they all give themselves time - interviewer is patient and asks good questions, some good thoughtful answers especially from guy on the right who comes across as really articulate (Lias?).
    The accent is really hard to place - bit northern sometimes, black British too?
    Middle guy, love the teeth! And the shared vaping is good entertainment.
    Never heard any music from them - I kind of imagine the interview might be better quality than the music maybe.

      Watch “touch the leather” video. Accent of Lias and Nathan is combination of growing up in Scotland, Belfast(during the troubles), and Huddersfield, their father is from Algeria. Nathan sounds more Irish. Saul grew up in Brixton.

    Please excuse my ignorance, but as a non-smoker i find it really hard to understand the rules of passing around the e-cig and who it belongs to originally. Would anyone care to clarify? Also, great job, interviewer, if i were you and have these men blankly stare at me like that i would piss my pants. Ok bye

    6:10 -ish - I assume this lack of risk taking and boldness of attitude is largely a consequence of social media, and the fact that the internet has made everything much more visible. Everything is filmed, rumours are tweeted. When I was doing this crap 30 years ago, you could say and do almost anything. Not that we did - because we had some semblance of a social conscience. But fuck me, I would've hated the level of immediate and close scrutiny that digital media makes possible. My guess is that it's created timidity and conformity, as Lias implies.

    Their lead singer is a hater. I bet if I tell him what country I come from he would stab me. Although their last album is excellent, I’m having a hard time with their political hate, play for the people! not their governments!

    • @crucified_to_the_world
      @crucified_to_the_world 5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      They have a right to not play in a country if they disagree with that country's policies and feel that playing there would endorse them. Not 'hate'

      connor easy to say when you’re not the one being decided for. I didn’t vote for these policies (quite the opposite) and still I’d be influenced by stupid politicians’ actions, and to top that now the artists do the same. As I said before, play for the people who love your music, not their governments.
