- Harry Potter and the Efteling have a lot of winter magic in them. This year I wanted to build Hogwarts Castle and added the Hogwarts express to our Christmas village display. Hogsmeade village was custom build. The result is a very large Christmas village display that took 6 months to complete. Enjoy!

What a fabulous layout. The one thing that spoils it is the “high intensity” brilliant white LED in the Locomotive. This needs changing to a warm white / yellow LED.

With the Hogwarts Castle being pretty big is the scale difference between the Hogwarts being closer to N scale very noticeable compared to the OO scale train and Hogmeads station. I purchased both Cubic Fun sections to add to my layout. Once again super layout👍🏻
Castle is pretty huge in the movies so it doesn't looks like that to me

Hi, thank you! I created the background in Photoshop and printed it on a very large foam board (Forex). It gives the whole diorama a very nice effect. The Hogwarts castle is from Cubicfun 3D and was purchased on Amazon.

Thank you. I think the scale of Hogwarts is N-scale. You can find it on Amazon. Just search for ‘Cubicfun 3D Hogwarts’ It consists of the DS1012H and DS1011H models. Hogsmeade, I made it myself from styrofoam because I couldn’t find it online.

Did you build the physical Hogwarts castle or you bought it and built the platforms / scenery around it ?
I bought the Hogwarts castle. You can find it on Amazon (.de). Search for ‘Cubicfun 3D Hogwarts’. It consists of the DS1012H and DS1011H models. The terrain is build like a model railway with molds, lightweight plaster and terrain colors form Woodland Scenics
Het ziet er weer geweldig uit zeg, jammer dat het zo korte video is, ik was wel benieuwd hoe je Efteling dorp er dit jaar uitzag,
dat kon ik nu niet zo goed zien,
Ik heb nog wel een vraagje, waar heb je die lantaarntjes in je Eftelingdorp gekocht, die boom stronk met lantaarntje eraan.
Bedankt voor je reactie! Dit jaar lag de focus in het filmpje inderdaad meer op het winterlandschap van Harry Potter omdat dit helemaal nieuw was. Je kan wel alle foto’s bekijken op www.pencilpoint.be als je het sprookjesbos van dit jaar beter wil zien. De lantaarn lampjes komen van Intratuin (het huismerk) en heb ik daar vorig jaar gevonden.

Hey ik hoop dat je hier op reageert. Ik vraag mij af hoe het zit met al die lichtjes die je per huis aan en uit moet doen. Die van de Efteling werken op batterijen en de schakelaar zit aan de onderkant. Ga jij dan elke dag 1 voor 1 de huisjes af? Of bestaat er een manier om die allemaal in 1 keer aan/uit te doen? (bv met een afstandsbediening)

Alle electra (verdeelstekkers) komen samen in 1 slim stopcontact waarop een timer staat + die kan je ook met je smartphone bedienen.
De zelf huisjes zijn verbonden met een stroomadapter. Die sluit je aan op het kastje waar je normaal gezien de batterijen insteekt. De meeste huisjes hebben een 4,5V stekkertje, enkel het huisje van Hans en Grietje en een kabouterhuisje hebben een 3V aansluiting.
Je hebt adapters die uitmonden in 4 kabeltjes zodat je niet voor elk huisje een aparte adapter nodig hebt. De huisjes van Roodkapje, Vrouw Holle en Repelsteeltje zijn met elkaar verbonden met een draad waarop 3 lampjes aangesloten zijn.
De huisjes zelf staan op piepschuim van 5cm dik zodat je alle kabels makkelijk kunt wegwerken in het piepschuim richting de achterkant die je niet ziet. Rond de huisjes leg ik uiteindelijk overal mos zodat je van de kabels niets meer ziet. Veel plezier met de bouw van je kerstdorp!

Le train est de Hornby, mais apparemment il n'est plus fabriqué :-(. La gare est également de Hornby

Mais en regardant tout de loin, c'est très joli.

ik zocht la een tijdje die lampjes van de interatuin die je in het sprookjesbos hebt verwerkt. hoe heten die?
Heb geen idee hoe ze noemen. Ik heb ze vorig jaar gevonden bij Intratuin, in de winkel. Het is echt van het huismerk van Intratuin. Heb even online gekeken, maar in hun webshop zijn ze niet te vinden.
