For Corvax, if this is the end of the Rebellion and we split up... Corvax stays in the Military, he will remain as a Veteran Soldier of the great Rebellion, training new Fighters and telling the Story of a bunch of brave souls that went to battle against Slavery and Darkness.

(Twenty years? Hmmm... a bit of a different format this time then!)
With the campaign against the Southern Nobles ending in victory, Hiroaki would be able to turn his full attention towards what he valued most. Rebuilding a new and better world.
The diplomatic situation would become a major focus of his, and with Sin's approval, he would do what he could to guide not only the Sand Kingdom, but use what influence he could to help their allies to achieve stability.
With effort, he would convince a number of Rebel Farmer, Anti-Slaver, and Empire Peasant settlements to, over the course of a decade, turn over administrative control to The Sand Kingdom. The problem for them was, that they truly had no idea what to do after victory, and their territories and peoples were suffering because of it. With this, he was able to create far more stable trade routes throughout Sand Kingdom territory, as well both improve those cities, and greatly increase the numbers of Sand Kingdom forces.
The Rebel Farmers more or less disbanded then, going to live the civilian lives that, really, they'd wanted all along. The freedom to live well being the true goal of their rebellion. The Anti-Slavers would keep their headquarters of Spring and continue to remain active, to prevent slavery from rising up again, and seeking out illegal slavery operations.
The territory acquisitions notably included the major settlements of Bark, Heng, Trader's Edge, and Stoat. He gained particular joy from gaining Heng and Trader's Edge, helping fix the old home he'd been a part of breaking.
It was not complete however. The Dune Renegades, unlike the other rebel factions, had had a rather firm idea of what they wanted to accomplish, and made their new government relatively quickly. They became The Dune Republic, and likewise acquired much of the rest of the territory and major towns, keeping Heft, Sho-Battai, and Brink.
Nor were they able to hold the Southern sections of the former United Cities. After a brief attempt, it became clear that those areas were destined to fall to chaos, or local powers. The Sands could take them, but they couldn't hold them. Though they might have been able to, perhaps, if it was not for one General's betrayal...
Things were somewhat at risk between the Narko's Disciples, Flotsam Ninjas, and Shek Kingdom, but Hiroaki put a significant amount of his efforts to soothing that, and with Sin's help, was able to work with their allies to distribute Holy Nation territory and rights, in a way that satisfied the whole. The Shek Kingdom wound up with Blister Hill, it's worth noting, due to their not insignificant commitment of forces during it's initial sieges.
With Hiroaki spearheading efforts, the Sand Kingdom, Dune Republic, Flotsam Ninjas, Narko's Disciples, and Shek Kingdom, all entered into a greater alliance, known as the Emancipated League. This political body would go a long way to keeping things steady and stable in the northern sweep of the continent, The Great Desert becoming one of the most stable of all. Though Hiroaki had a lot of work to do, especially after Mohi's betrayal and raids on two major cities.
And it wasn't all peaceful besides that, of course. The Shek craved conflict. Fortunately, there was the Sturmijaz right there, and fights between the surprise coastal kingdom and the Shek were frequent. Not to mention, Hiroaki could 'suggest' certain enemies, such as former allies turned traitor, and renegades...
As for Zuri's Refuge itself? Commander Joseph's use of the Nexus and construction of The Library, allowed it to become a truly shining capital in the Great Desert. The techniques in manufacturing and construction that The Nexus held, allowed the Sand Kingdom to quickly rise as a predominant trading partner, and keep it's quality edge for equipment. Other cities that came underneath Sand Kingdom control, of course, also gained similar treatment, and with the knowledge of The Nexus and the wisdom of Joseph, Hiroaki's own efforts were greatly enhanced.
With Joseph more or less 'retiring' to oversee The Nexus, and other powers going traitor, he became the de-facto head of Sin's civil government branch, becoming known as the 'Viceroy' of the Sand Kingdom. And his dedication to his efforts was unwavering. No matter the trial or tribulation, from within or without, he would do his utmost to see the territory they had created rise in worth, and it could be said he was instrumental in constructing a new age of prosperity for The Sand Kingdom, it's territories, and even it's allies, all in the name of building a better world, free of slavery, and good to it's citizens.
Of course, one cannot forget his other half, Laru. While she never had the same ranking or administrative position, she would go on to head the policing of Zuri's Refuge, and play a significant part in defining the new laws of their land, as well as the proper policing actions to take, and punishments to give for various offenses. As things became more organized and codified, she would be known as the 'Adjudicator' of the Sands, head of it's policing and justice department, the 'Liberation Guard'. This defensive force would see to the protection and civil policing of it's towns and settlements, even as the Sandukar remained the military proper. And she would be brutally harsh on corruption, tearing it out wherever they could find it. She knew enough from the Empire's example, and traitors in their own ranks, that such things could not be permitted.
Naturally, Hiroaki and Laru married after the successful ending of the Southern Nobles, would go on to have three children, two sons and a daughter, each of whom would distinguish themselves in the next generation of servants and defenders of The Sand Kingdom.
All in all? While not without setbacks, even from the highest ranking of places, Hiroaki would say that it had all been worth it. The blood, pain, and tears. Because when he walked around Zuri's Refuge, or any of their settlements, or even that of others, he would see prosperity. Happiness. Growth... and he knew the work to maintain it would never end. The work to defend it from the greedy and the selfish. But what they had made was truly worth preserving, worth fighting for. And he would never stop doing so.)

    Mohi's Diary:
    Entry 12:
Yesterday I completed training the black marauders, for months they sweated and bled through rigerous training, being whipled and kicked and starved to harden them into hardend fighters. For their final training exercise, they had to fight and subdue a blood spider with no weapons. A quater of the trainees died, but the rest, became Black Marauders after killing the spider, snapping the limbs and watering the sand with blood.
I now have a Warband of fourty Black Marauders, drilled, fresh and ready for battle.
After the their training ended I spoke to Ungern, I asked him if he missed his Cannibal brethren in the Northern Coast, he shook his head.
I innitialy found this to be strange, but I realised that he has more freedom away from his tribe. This made me think about my plan to reunite with the hive, I lost so much after my pheromone connection was cut off, but since then I have gained so much as a warrior.
But is there more to gain? Of course there is!!
The war against slavery is over, the Southern Nobles, the Reavers, the Dominion, the Empire and the Holy Nation have all been deffeated. The fall of the great slave states may be the end for the Anti-Slavers and the Sands of Hate. But for me, it is only the beginning............

    Todays story:
    (Before timeskip)
My hands gripped the railing of the ship, known as the “Adventure”, since its maiden voyage would be to an island that no one but Cat-Lon, Mutey, Tengu apparently, the Nexus, and I know about. It was the last day of the journey, having taken it myself multiple times, with the last being my trip with Mutey where I discovered the Nexus was gone. Now, I was returning with three of the six warrior-class skeletons, Mutey, Sin’s chosen representative, some escaped slave-mercenaries, and the crew of the ship.
Oh, and the Nexus. She refused to be left behind.
Nexus: “We are almost there, if my internal clock and navigation is correct. There is even a faint power source still operating there, likely the backup generators deep underground.”
Me: “Yes, it probably is. While I didn’t check up on them, I doubt they would have been found and destroyed by Tengu. For one, they were well hidden, and two, I doubt he cared enough.”
Nexus: “You are probably right. I still don’t understand why you are not just resettling the island and becoming isolationists again.”
Me: “Because what is the point of having all our knowledge if no one uses it. The great library was founded originally to teach everyone in the second empire. After it was destroyed in the rebellion, we relocated for safety reasons. Now it was destroyed again, but this time we have a proper place to rebuild it. We can go back to our primary objective. Not as warriors, collectors, or administrators, but as teachers and holders of knowledge. It would be nice again, and you know it.”
Nexus: “You are right, as always. I guess I’m still to new with my personality to care about those things. I’m sure I will improve, however.”
Looking back at the ocean, I kept my amusement hidden. I noticed that, lately, I had began to feel more… emotional. I am a machine, yet I… feel. It is strange, but comforting. While I’m sure the madness is a step away, the Nexus, once she is properly reinstated, will fix it, adding my memories to the great collection, to be accessed at need but getting around the reset rule. The Nexus stood beside me, gazing at the Island now visible, the library towering over everything.
The ship docked at the ruined docks, left abandoned for two hundred years. We quickly made base camp amoung the ruins, keeping a sharp eye out for any of the wild thralls that still roamed the island. We could hear some of them screaming in the distance, and we know their packs would eventually find us.
After some debate, Mutey, Myself, and the Nexus, with our three warrior-skeletons, went up to the library proper. While the hole and the lake were still there, it seemed to have stabilized its ecosystem, keeping everything neat and orderly, at least natures standards of it. Going upstairs, we passed the great door that led to the Nexus’s chamber. There, we found nothing, but that is what we expected. That’s when we knocked down the false wall and found it untouched. All the databases, the backups of backups, with knowledge spanning thousands of years since the colonial period.
It was good to haul them from the dusty room, through the moist ruin, and down to the ship. It took us a couple of days, but we managed it. We only ran into two packs, small at best, of the ex-thralls. They attacked the ramshackle walls of our temporary camp, and with some well placed crossbow bolts and angry shek, we drove them off.
We set sail when everything was on board. We were beginning a new future for everyone. I am looking forward to it greatly…
    (After Timeskip)
Student: “Teacher, why do we have to wear these itchy clothes?”
I let out a chuckle at that. Every new year, it’s the same complaints from the urchins and the orphans. The uniforms were to show that they were under the libraries care, with its complex having to be expanded twice in the twenty years since the southern nobles defeat. Hiroaki and I were overjoyed, at first, then amused as my school turned into a small orphanage.
While we still taught anyone who enrolled, we took in stray humans like on old lady does cats. It became part of my nature, and also the Nexus’s to, as her personality continued its development. It became especially attached to Hiroaki and Mutey’s children.
Those kids became more like their parents than I think either of them realize. Especially Mutey’s. His son is a prankster, and his daughter is top of her class. Hiroaki’s kids are all intelligent rule followers, with only their youngest son being more like Laru than Hiroaki. Not saying he’s dumber, he honestly might be the smartest one of the lot, but he has his mother’s fiery temper, leading him to be in my office more often than not.
Thinking of them made me sad, as Hiroaki was starting to show his age through his grey hair, and I still remember him at his wedding, laughing and having an amazing time, especially after my gift to the man, a journal and many, many quills to write down whatever he wished.
And then there was Mutey. My protégé. The one who I had high hopes for. He chose to start a farming village at the edge of our kingdom, training them to be expert farmers and hunters with the crossbow, teaching many himself, with his village producing the best crossbow wielders I’d ever seen.
    Then Mohi happened.
Mutey, upon hearing about Mohi’s betrayal, was upset at first. He had always thought highly of the Hiver, and saw him as an estranged uncle. After his daughter was born, and when one of Mohi’s raids came to close to home, he set out to see if he could reason with him.
He never came back. His body was found by a patrol, with a note from Mohi in the man’s hand, stuck there with his own crossbow bolt. He stated he wished for no more diplomatic missions to convince him of his wrongdoings, and they better send an army next time. To say I was mad was an understatement. I had raised that kid since I found him on the street, and to see him betrayed by one he looked up to, I was seeing red.
Only his kids and the Nexus kept me from gathering as many as I could to March down there and strangle the hiver myself. I promised I would look after Mutey’s kids, as their mother had died from illness after giving birth to his daughter. However, that just gave me until they grew up and graduated until I sought my revenge.
I count down those days where Nibol and I march down there side by side again to take back bloody vengeance.
For now, I would teach many of the future generations of the Sands Kingdom, and gladly at that.
The library will stand tall beside Sin and his descendants, whatever they choose to call themselves. I shall gladly teach them all. After all, I am “retired” from any position.
Well, except emergent advisor. I will always be here to give advice to anyone who needs it. My blade is also here, but only for one target.
    Mohi…

After the deffeat of the Southern Nobles, Mohi would take his fourty Black Marauders up north to the Cannibal plains where they would settle for five years, subjugating the warring cannibal tribes under his banner. His army would swell from fourty to two hundred warriors.
He would take his huge army along with some northern hiver mercenaries and march south through the great desert, sacking Heft and Heng with his horde of Cannibals and Cut-throats.
His nomadic army would continue to march south, leaving a trail of blood and fire until they reached the city of Mourn.
Mohi layed saige to the city for almost a year, relentlessly assaulting the garrison until his troops broke though the deffences and massacred the remaining enemies, rounding up the survivore and impaling them outside the city. His Cannibals, Mercenaries and Black Marauders sacked the city for the next week before rebuilding it into a Capital for Mohi's new empire, the Black Horde.
After two years of settling in Mourn he sent his army west, to conquer the Swamplands, the swamp Ninjas and the greyflayers were slaughtered by his warriors, but the Stone Rats and Red Sabres would join him, hoping that he would allow them to rule the swamps on his behalf.
The seige of Shark was a tough battle, many troops of Mohi's troops died. Most of them died from disease, while others starved to death due to the food suply struggling to navigate through the swamps coupled with constant ambushes from the swampers.
After six months of suffering servere attrition, Mohi came up with a strategy to break through the enemy deffences. He orderd his mechanics to launch diseased corpses over the walls from catapults to spread the disease to the deffenders. Another strategy was the usage of war spider, his men capture blood spiders and sent them to scale the walls and attack the crossbowmen.
After two more months, Mohi's army rushed into the city and killed off the ramaining swampers brining Shark under his control. The hungry and exhausted warriors may have been victories. But their moral was still low due to the enviroment they had to ramain in. Disease was rampent so they couldn't cannibalise any of the dead bodies wich really angered the cannibal troops, and on top of this, the food suply from Mourn took a week to reach Shark.
Fights were common among soldiers from the different swamp gangs that pledged alligence to Mohi. Especialy between the Stone Rats and Red Sabres, these fights would often be broken up by Black Marauders, who acted enforcers to maintain order between the rowdy swampers. Drugs was another issue, it was more common for men to fight over Hashish then ration packs.
An issue that was quickly solved by Mohi, any swamper seen taking drugs would be killed and fed to the cannibals, it was a new law that worked like a charm, but a law that many idiots still broke and paid the price for.
One year later, Shark was rebuilt and the army recovered from the disorder caused by the hashish and disease and continued tonexpand through the swamps wiping out the hounds and the blackshifters.
Ten years later, Mohi had Mourn, Shark and Catun under his control. Having supressed a rebellion in the swamps instigated by the Red Sabres, killing their Boss in single combat.
The income of Mohi's Empire came from drug smuggling into the Shek Kingdom, trading with the Skeletons of the Black desert and raiding south into Clownsteady.
Mohi, with Ungern as his right hand man, ruled the Black Horde with an Iron fist, sitting upon a wrought-iron throne with spikes sprouting from the top where Valmons horned skull sat, impaled above his former Slave.
    End*
