Right?! It's like it's 2003 again and all I care about is saving up for a new booster pack 🥲 and the weeks truly is wonderful, so glad I gave it a second chance!
There is something so nice about the Hobonichi Weeks. I personally love the MEGA. It doesn't have all the fancy designs but I tend to put stickers and pictures inside the clear cover. If I really wanted, it could be used as my only book for the entire year. I also love the Cousin but it does get heavy if you carry it everyday and I don't consistently use the weeklies. I currently have an A6 Original (reading/media) , A6 Notebook (for family memory keeping), Weeks Mega (main planner and for commonplacing) and Cousin Spring (now my art journal so that I can finish it and not waste it). I had initially planned for 2024 to use the Hobo A6 for planning and the notebook for commonplacing but decided I missed my Mega 😂😂. So 2025 I will only purchase the MEGA. Thanks for sharing. Edit: I might also just get an art sketchbook or Stalogy 365 so that I have a maximum of 2 books in 2025. I was too indecisive in December and now have too many books 😅!
Thanks for watching! That sounds like a good plan for your needs and preferences!! And if you find that just one book or two books works for you, well, it's good for the bank balance besides anything else 😂
Ha! I bought a Weeks last minute too because I was so overwhelmed in my larger planner and it has been working for me so far. Going to listen to the Pride and Prejudice soundtrack now! 😊
I find it SO fascinating to see how everyone uses their weeks/Cousin!! The Weeks was *way* too small for me but I love the Cousin! I use it as a functional planner though. Loved watching this !
Thank you for the kind words 🥰 tbh I used to think the Weeks was too small for me too, I gave up on my 2023 one. But, this year, something has clicked! I'm definitely an A5 girlie at heart though 😅
LOVE the Pokémon cards!! Those old designs bring back memories. Glad to see you're enjoying your system so far! It sounds like it makes a lot of sense for the way you plan and journal.
Right?! I got such nice nostalgia sorting through them all again 😊 thank you! It's definitely making sense so far - probably the most comfortable I've been in a system!
Just came across your channel- I love Hobonichi. Last year was weeks this year I’m trying the Cousin and absolutely loving it. I also have a channel- book chats- and your talk about subscriber numbers just really resonated with me. I’m so small but the feeling that I am throwing something important to me out there and others are enjoying it is just so satisfying. Thank you- I look forward to following along.
Thanks for subscribing and for the kind words! 🥰 Hobonichi really is the best. And best wishes for your channel! It's so fun getting to exercise that creativity and hopefully make people's days a little better with what you put out there!
I made a switch after about a week and a half into the year, and as soon as I set it up, I felt so much better! I didn't even buy anything new for the switch, so I was extra happy about that.
Thank you for sharing! I enjoyed every second of it! I am considering purchasing a Hobonichi Weeks or Cousin. It looks like the pages are very thin and feel great to touch. I am excited to see one in the store this weekend.
Thanks so much for the kind words! I'm so glad you enjoyed the video 🥰 I can definitely recommend the Weeks and the Cousin - the paper is indeed thin and soft. It's beautiful!
I want to get a hobonichi or a planner with similar design but i dont like dated ones because I simply don’t know when will i start or wether i’m gonna be consistent with it or not, so i need some planners recommendation (as a beginner)
That's fair, dated planners can definitely be stressful! I'd recommend the Hobonichi Day Free (Hobo style, monthly calendar, but undated back pages); the Planner Monkey Co Freely Noted (just grid paper) or Freely Planned (undated monthly calendars + grid paper at the back), or the Common Planner (undated monthly, weekly, and daily sections). Hope this is helpful!
this is pretty much my system for 2024 as well, my weeks is my planner and my cousin is my creative journal/memory keeper etc.
I hope it works well for you!! :)
The Pokémon cards are so cute and nostalgic 😭 I’m so glad you are loving your weeks!!

They do seem to be a common "panic book" 😅 good choice, it's such beautiful music 🥰

I use a Weeks and a Cousin. My last minute purchase was the Cousin which arrived last Dec 28th. I have a scratch notebook as well for my to-do list.
The Hobonichi books are just the best!
the weeks is my ride or die! i’m so glad you’re enjoying it so far 🥰 Lucky is one of my favourite villagers too! 💛
It's SUCH a great book, so glad I added it to my lineup 🥰 Lucky is just the best! He's so sweet and bumbling and spooky hehe

love this duo!!! i totally agree that i need daily reminders to checkin with certain tasks, even if they are tasks that i love! hahaha
Thank you Lauren!! Yeah, I think it's easy for those tasks to get lost/forgotten among... "gestures at everything else going on in life* haha
Awww thanks Ellie 🙇🏼♀️💞 The Alastair method really IS a game changer!
Any time - your videos are always so calming and inspirational! 🥰 And right?! I'm honestly blown away by so well it's worked so far haha
i love the nandor de laurentis sticker!!! cute journal systems!!
Thank you!!!! And Nandor is just the best 🦇
I love the weekly page layout (both weeks and cousin), especially the astair method on the weeks pages 👍
Thank you so much! :) If you like this style, you'll probably like Kaitlin Grey's videos a lot - I learned about the Alastair method from her!

Sometimes, change is just for the best! No point sticking with a system that's not working for you :)

Lovely thanks for sharing! Happy new year
Thanks for watching, and Happy New Year to you too!
I just loved your idea of putting your animal crossing progress on hobonichi!! I loved it very much
ahhh thank you! I love Animal Crossing so much, it definitely needed to have a place in my journal 🥰
Such a lovely setup! I also put the Meghan Rhiannon teapot sticker on my January monthly page ^^
Thank you so much 🥰 The teapot is probably my favourite sticker from that set - so cute!
Great video, love seeing your system and how it works out for you
Thanks so much Ezra 🥰
Love the Frazier sticker & great content!!
Thank you so much 🥰 Frasier is the best!
Love seeing your system! Which blue ink are you using? I have been on the hunt for a blue ink I like and the one you use is lovely!
Thank you so much! 🥰 It's the Parker Quink blue ink cartridges! They're so affordable and the nicest, brightest blue I've come across!
