I do not wish to take anything away from Bernadette Flynn, (the other lead) but agreed,..Gillian Norris,to me anyway,was the lead for this show. Cannot even count how many times I've watched this section.

The gypsy dance is exceptional. Through dance he manages to fully show us the personality of the character. From the red wardrobe with black semi-transparent leggings, her dark eyes, curly black hair. The music, her sensual and provocative movements. And the camera movement that follows her dance across the stage. It's great.
The dancer is beautiful, but the oboist is the real star of the show. The octave jumps in this piece are incredibly technical and challenging. To pull this off - live - and have ZERO errors is incredible.

david gregory, yes I am old not your age but up there and I used to be a dancer, I had the liberty of a ballerina showing me some moves, man did I make a fortune. Her name was Bonnie, we were in our early 20's. Never forget her, she was an awesome and giving person. But this temptress is one exceptional woman, something about her innocence & grace, you have to have some culture in you to really appreciate this. Thanks for your comment. I absolutely love this performance, so much more than the same at Hyde Park. in this there is an un self-conscious and innocent feeling while still being absolutely gorgeous and sultry. for me, it seems to suggest there is something more than "temptress" to the character and lends a bit of depth.
All River dance dancers are amazing but this beautiful young lady just owned the stage like a comment below this one I will always return to this dance and dancer

So ok, Lord of the dance is one of the best shows ever been created. I watched it in 2012 with, as I understand it now, new generation of dancers and I loved it, but what can I say now? Yes, the present dancers are way better in technics, dances are more difficult and require 100% technical perfection but Gillian and Bernadette...they are still the best because their every move is full of grace, dignity and enjoy of the dance: they do not perform dances, they live them through))))) P.S. Didn't mean to hurt smb's feelings)
