Super interesting read of the non financial aspects of retirement. It’s so much more than a portfolio 👌

I'm about to turn 50. I already know that transitioning from saving to spending will be a challenge for me when I reach retirement.

Since 2000, every car I have purchased has been for cash. I don't like debt. I agree about having a purpose. I'm retired and my day is consumed in two major purposes.

Some years back, I attended a Bogleheads conference and Christine was on a panel. I’d hoped to find her after the session to ask a question, but she had made a quick getaway. So here goes.
How about addressing the unique needs of solo agers? Some people have been solo all or much of their adult lives. Others may enter retirement as part of a couple but eventually become solo agers. You wouldn’t know it from reading most books about retirement, but not everyone has a partner or adult children with whom they can discuss their retirement plans.
