    These guys haven't shopped at Home Depot for many years. Their staff turnover is horendous, poorly trained and the prices are not a third less than their competition. Lowes does a much better job.

    Has anyone here ever worked for Home Depot? They are terrible towards their employees.

    • @AdvancedBoerboels4.24.7
      @AdvancedBoerboels4.24.7 5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      And the employees act terrible toward the customers. They just don't care. It doesn't pay to care or be responsible. That said, it happens at all the big box home stores. "If a drug addict is the best applicant then that is who they will have to hire", HR of big box store. And the downward spiral continues.Ultimately I really like what these two have to say. They are however out of touch with what goes on in the store level on day to day operations. They need to put on some old clothes and visit a few incognito. Policies and procedures are great but only if people abide by them. How do you get people to make the effort to do the right thing ? That answer is worth a trillion dollars. Anybody?

    • @robbrown4621
      @robbrown4621 5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      kathy beck. Thank you for your reply. Yes, the corporate honchos on top create an environment that leads to low employee morale and that's why the employee/customer relation can suffer.
      I worked with a few hundred different people in my store and I can tell you that there were no drug addicts there. Mostly, there are people who are semi-retired or have been hurt on the job at some other business. For example, I knew an electrician who fell off a ladder who needed a year to recover. He worked at HD until he recovered enough to get back in his truck and go on as a professional in his field.
      The problem with HD management is that they pay so low and have a point of view that employees are expendable. That is the biggest problem. You would not accept that in the military or in teaching or at home with your family. So why would anyone think that's acceptable in any place of work?
      This is why people don't stay at HD and why customers suffer from their experience.
      I can go on and on. There is so much wrong with the company. And, I'm sure it's the same at Lowe's…

    At 8:50 the guy says he has no problem paying higher taxes, "provided it's used to redeem the futures of young people". Then the host brings up Sander's plans of free college and forgiving college debts (to me, those sound like plans that could redeem the future of young people). And then the other guy's response is just, no no no Bernie is the enemy. But Bernie's policies sounded exactly like what the first guy said he was for. And then they just moved on, after saying kids today don't learn about western civilization and history. Is that even true? I feel like learning about the USA's history is a pretty common school subject. And if kids aren't, couldn't they go learn those at free college?
