- Tatsumitsu Wada overcame a spirited effort from Gustavo Balart to book his place in the ONE Flyweight World Grand Prix semifinals. The Japanese superstar was able to capitalize on his reach advantage, operating from the outside as he landed combinations throughout all three rounds. Though “El Gladiator” was able to close the distance in the third round and finally put his world-class grappling to action, “The Sweeper” was able stay in control and secure the biggest match of his career when he faces Demetrious Johnson in the next round.

What a joke Wada headbutted Balart multiple times and then asked for recovery? He should have been sanctioned! Balart won that fight IMO, the Cuban had the control of the cage and he hit the japanese with kick and punch several times.

wada lost that fight, the little guy was robbed, the Japanese fighter kept putting his head down and then complaining afterwards..and then goes on to win by all 3 judges...no way... very bad judging.

19:33 they missed it but I didn’t Balart almost bit the dust he gets caught with a knee it wobbles him and a kick to the face right after but he plays it off really well! His opponent sees it too and goes after him Balart recovers quick as I’ve ever seen! If Balart would take these guys down and ground and pound he would do much better he’s so short he can’t get inside but we are all the same height on our backs he would do well to remember that!
