Danny isn't used to horseback riding and being in the saddle all day even for experienced riders leaves one a little sore in the posterior region. The reins were cutting into her hands.
You asked if there are any nice parts. There are, the first few episodes are trying to give you an idea of what everyone is like. All of the characters are very complex, and some of them you dislike now you might like in the future. But yes, there are good fun parts in the show, and plenty of them. And whenever something bad happens to the characters you've grown to hate, you feel so much better for it. And whenever something good happens to the characters you love, you love it too. The epic character designs make you so invested in them that the emotions are amplified. I'm glad you plan to keep watching. I hope you enjoy it :)
Yes, I'm definitely feeling the epic character design at this point! There are a lot of characters to keep up with right now but I'm starting to track everyone a bit better already :)
Important for this show... DIALOG is the most important. Almost every scene means something or leads.. many foreshadowing and easter eggs.. you will definitely miss some things.. It's a lot to take in. All questions will get answered. We will help you go thru without spoilers, if there are questions we can give more insight to... welcome to the fandom MY SWEET SUMMER CHILD
I'm glad I'm watching the show with the subtitles so I don't miss any important dialog! I'm excited to finally understand the "sweet summer child" reference everyone says lol excited to be part of the fandom!
@EmmyReacts sweet some child. You so innocent lol....we will.let you know when you become a Lady of WINTER... you won't understand until we tell you.. gotta get thru some things 1st. 🤣
All the direwolves in the show are almost an exact mirror of their characters from the book. RIP Lady! She resembled Sansa in being proper like a lady and innocent.
During the assassination attempt on Bran, you said, "Yeah, get him!" You've already come so far from the beginning when you said how Squeamish you are. Fantastic! I'm looking forward to watching with you.
It's cool to watch reactors who are trying to figure things out, and explaining what they think, rather than just yelling and screaming the whole time and trying to be funny. You can always spot the good ones, cus they wait for quiet moments to ask any questions they may have, but are still paying attention as they speak, and are ready to stop talking if something happens. So far, this seems like one of the good ones. :D There really aren't many of those.
@@chasingbirds3073 I don't care if people judge characters on a TV show You're supposed to! The way they dress them, the music they play when they appear...it's all designed to make you judge the character. I went off these, but not because of that. Just because it became another channel that worried more about beating copyright than anything else, so they edit the reaction so that there's never a moment when they're not talking...even if they're not saying anything.
"The Dothraki have two things in abundance - grass and horses. People can't live on grass." Emmy: "Beef jerky!" Sorry to make fun but - classic! 😊 Your Episode 1 reaction popped up in my recommendations today, but I didn't comment there because I saw Part 2 was up. And now I see Part 3 is up! It's good to see a new reactor to this great show, and I hope you'll stick with it! And 4, wow, at this rate you'll have finished the show before I finish this comment! 2m10s: I think Dany's just sore and stiff after sitting on a horse for so long, she's not used to it. I can sympathise - at my age I feel the same when I get up from an armchair! There will be horrible things and glorious things in the show but the one thing I can't re-watch is the end of this episode. Sorry you had to go through that. I'm enjoying the journey so far. Subscribed.
As a throwback to Ep1 - I love the way you automatically dislike the alleged unsavoury characters in the show. Your instincts are on point mostly - but you will have a few WTF moments with some of them. Honestly. LOL. It's gonna be a laugh to see you squirm with some of them. 😂
"Slavery is a thing in this world?" Slavery is a thing in every world. Even still in ours. Also, Cersei didn't push Bran out of the window. She was certainly okay with it, but she didn't "cause" it, like you stated. That was all Jaime. And I want to clarify....you hate Cersei for putting forth the idea, but not the king for giving the order or Ned for doing the deed? Remember, characters don't know everything we know. She believed her son, like most parents would over someone else's.
I’m sorry but it cracked me up a little how you were so upset about the dire wolf being killed and then when the Hound walks by with the dead body of a literal child you’re like “oh that’s sad” and immediately back to the dog 😂
I mean, why should she be friendly with her husband's bastard? He's a constant reminder of her husband's infidelity. By being nice to Jon Snow, it tells Ned that it was okay that he slept around. I probably wouldn't even stand to have him in my house at all.
If you can accept this fantasy world has no electricity for realism than you can expect standards and morals not acceptable today, but realistic to the times of this fantasy world.
I know I’m late to the party with this comment, but here goes. You are going to have to get over being squeamish if you’re going to stick with the show. Pay close attention to every line, rather than looking away and talking to yourself. Every line of dialogue is critical, especially in these early stages when you’re still learning the world.

Ahhh that totally makes sense
Jamie Lannister killed Danerys Targaryens father. His name was Areys Targaryen. But most people in the show call him "The Mad King"
*Aerys*

Can't wait for episode 3 reaction. This show is amazing once you absorb who every character is.

That's such a cool detail! Poor pup :(

Thanks for watching with me!

Honestly, I don't find her reactions very good. She comes off as a bit pretentious and quick to judge.

I would be quite worried about anyone who didn’t hate how that went. Nice to have Bran conscious again, though.

My mom was a huuuge animal lover and completely swore off the show after this episode -- until she wanted to know what happened next, lol 🐺 RIP Lady!
I get that! I hate seeing animals hurt 😢

2:17 Riding a horse all day long isn't easy and holding the reigns too firmly does that to sensible hands of a princess that never got out ever.
Fair point!!
Ohhh my sweet summer child, just have fun taking it in. Don't say you don't like it.
It is fun, just a lot to take in, but I'm enjoying it 😊
The opening is a map and will show you where we will be in the episode.
The theme is indeed epic. If you want to watch another great HBO show check out the Last of Us if you haven't seen it.
I LOVED The Last of Us!!

What do you mean, these ARE the nice parts
😅😅😅

That's a good point!
Hang in there
How dare you call me a wimp!
it's brutal but it's a great story with great characters. and some unbearable characters too.
Brutal but great is a perfect way to describe the story so far! haha
Whew! 🔥🔥🔥
You beautiful sweet summer child.
You should look at map thoroughly.
