Average Below the Stone run
Legend has it he’s still talking about calling the escape pod without actually calling it to this day 😅
Pro tip: if you break pretty much all of the walls and leave only ores you cannot break normally, leaving all loot grubs alive, they can mine any non-indestructible block and can thus harvest ores you normally cannot.
This game is super fun, but the replay value is just not super high right now. Some small changes I would like to see made would be refigure the rewards for completing quests, they are too low and don't scale with difficulty so you can spend an hour mining rare ores to come out and get 2 copper ore as a reward. Also a bug I noticed is the titanium shoulder pads are also called iron shoulder pads and it took me a while to realize they had the wrong name because the only way to tell them apart is by looking at the crafting material where one takes iron and the other takes titanium but they make the same item. The art and stats are right, but the name needs to be corrected. I also think the potion crafting could use a rework on the recipes. They are just way too expensive for what the are, even towards the end of what the game currently has to offer, it is hard to have any way to sustain the potions because the require so much materials for a single one and they only last a few minutes. The glow potion in particular takes 25 gloweed, which if used individually comes out to 18 mins and 45 secs, but the potion only lasts 10 mins, you are giving up almost half of the time for the convenience of only having to drink it one vs eating the weed 25 separate times. And the 1st floor boss troll needs a rework on the fight. I like the triple projectile mechanics, but the collapsed ceiling is just a bit too overpowered as the game's current state. I would drastically reduce the duration and power of that attack, but give the troll the ability to heal if you run too far away, it is too easy to cheese the boss right now. It just takes a lot of food because his ceiling attack can hit you from so far away and lasts so long. Also seems like there are plans for a bunch of new recipes for items, but it feels like it would be better if they didn't add items into the game that didn't yet have a purpose. Countless times I have dropped materials thinking I found something rare I needed for a cool craft just to find out it really has no use at all. Upgradable backpacks would be good too, I run out of storage quickly and it makes it hard to advance far into floor 2 because I have too much stuff from floor 1 as soon as i get there. It is a really good game the just needs some tweaks to make it stand out, I'm looking forward to see how this game does in the future, I will continue to play as far as the game lets me and hopefully updates will come out in a timely manner

Sorry but I must disagree as a loot goblin myself, though sometimes he does push his luck a bit and I start to worry a little for his run, but I personally think it's funner with a little risk lol

Torch is the best early game weapon. 2 5 damage dot ticks is so strong. Especially against purple shrooms
I find the torch to be the better weapon early game because of the burn factor, especially in bigger mobs.
So I got the game after watching you play it in your first video.
And I have a tip if no one has shared this yet.
Attack with your torch! It can do burn damage! 🔥🔥🔥

Otherwise, it would be called a "delay".

-you craft everything there is to craft
-you find and fight the giant boss of the dungeon

-you find all 4 corners of the map

Hey Olexa, I think game map isn't totally random generated. Some dungeons and thinks (I can't give any spoiler) are at same direction. For example, when I go downish, I saw xxxxx everytime. And up too I saw everytime other thing. I didn't mine/explore left, right and other semi directions but I think you got the point.
The hitboxes annoy me, and I'm not even the one playing, lol. The way the purple mushroom hits while the dust effect doesn't even come close to touching you visually, how your weapon slash waves go through sprites of enemies and not deal damage, etc.
If you'll allow me to backseat you a bit, please craft a spare pickaxe and put it into the bank, so that you don't have to start from square one if you die^^

historially, guano was collected and turned into gunpowder (aka explosives)
There are certain bosses and pois that have a chance to spawn in, if you find them you can let you gain more advanced stuff
i ve been playing two days still have not gone to stage 2 tho but like tbh this is one of the best long waited game ever.
bro honestly until you have an iron weapon torches are the best starter weapeon i mean yeah it only does 2 dmg but it sets enemies on fire dealing 5 dmg per tic and it hits multipul enemies at once

The game seems to be, at the moment, a little repetitive, but it's still a cool type of game that I like
A game that does similar stuff but is way better imho is Core Keeper, but it's not a roguelike, so idk how well it would fit.
But I think you should try it!

what sucks is that the higher tier pickaxes do less mob damage, they seem to want to cap damage to 8 for weapons for some reason also.
The idea might be that in early ires tiers they want to be cheap so you can recuperate easier after a death, but when you’re on a high road you must use more resources to get stronger
I'm loving this new series, but I'm wondering why, if red mushrooms are used in healing potions, Olanke won't use the potatoes he has so many of to heal instead. Like he has almost the same amount of potatoes as he does Red mushrooms and they really have no use as much as I can see.

I honestly kinda think mayyyybe there could have been a little more content in the early access release for below the stone but they have a lot of big plans for the game. Happy to see where it goes and judge the game fully at the 1.0 release

Can't you just craft a bunch of dynamites, find and brake the best ore and craft the pickaxe with the shards. And with that pickaxe mine all the other ores?

Please, Olexa, break the chests, you did it once on accident in the area with the tree, and i was hoping a light bulb moment might have happened, but nope.... Think less about what you want to say and more about what you are doing in the game. Its honestly frustrating watching some people play games, like, try stuff, explore, if something doesnt seem possible, TRY IT ANYWAY, you never know.
I broke most of the chests in the dungeon later on my guy…..
@@OlexaYT yea, thats fair, and i saw that after i posted the video, but decided not to change it, because i wrote it at 2 in the morning. But you can also break the ones from the quests and what not. Still a good video, and a little engagement in the comments only helps your videos, so, alls well that ends well.
