You cannot look at the worst, and the best off in society and compare them with you. There's always someone better off and always someone worse off, but that does not stop you being allowed to be upset with your life sometimes. Without sadness, there's no joy. You've got an amazingly likeable personality and part of that is because you show your vulnerable side as well as your strong side. You're a complete person and that's a joy.

May and Ed's Excellent Adventure. And like all good story, our Heroes set out a grand quest and face many obstacles (the locks, the crash and the idea of stopping) but the journey continues until they ultimately reached the sunny paceful destination. (Well almost be careful with the machete). It nice just to have some silly fun, and good friends

Hello May, I go back to work tomorrow after 5 weeks off due to mental health issues, this episode gave me a really big lift in my mood. A few weeks ago I grounded my boat whilst plucking leaves off overhanging branches with my grandson! We love a nice cruise when our 2 weeks are up. Loving your positivity.

@wellbeingonwater Hello May, I've been back at work for over a week now, and it's hard to believe 8 weeks ago I was contemplating such drastic measures, seeing a young person like yourself with such a zest for life has definitely helped, I'm not there yet but with help from family and friends and inspiration from the likes of you I will get there, many thanks.

I remember the beautiful Karen Carpenter who had immeasurable talent as a singer, drummer and song writer, had a great career and future, yet passed due to her mental health. Looks like you had a smashing time (pun fully intended). I think Eds' hat needs a strap sewing on to stop its escape attempts. If there was any damage to your boat or its contents give your insurance company a bell and they'll sort it. If there wasn't any damage but you want to do something about it the canal and river trust has an incident report form on their website, they should follow it up and have a chat with the owner. Have a lovely sunny Sunday, take it easy

Today's WBP/exterior grade is not very water/weather resistant. The more expensive marine ply is more resilient, but please make sure that you paint or epoxy the endgrain to avoid it delaminating as even marine ply isn't great any more.

    Another Great Video May.
Hopefully your Boat is ok after the collision and you are fine as well.
Ed,seems a nice Chap, not sure if he is just a Friend but his Camera technique while you were filling up with water shows that he was getting a good shot but then moved the camera a bit so he could get a better look at what his eyes were looking at 😉,can’t blame him because you are a Gorgeous Young Woman and he would have to be blind not to try and get a look-see Lol 😂.
Mental Health is so important and you being open and honest might help so many others be open about their feelings!.
Half the battle is accepting you need someone who you can trust and open up too, probably why we all strive to find that " Mr or Ms Right " 🤷‍♂️,that person who we not just have a physical relationship with but a Mental emotional relationship with who we can open up too ?!.
I’m quite lucky in that I’m someone who really always looks on the Brightest side of life, always the positive and hardly ever the negative….. good job really because I’m a Father and Carer of 2 Disabled Adult Sons and it’s a 24/7 Job with them getting respite but never Me ! Oh I’ve tried to get it for myself but as you will be aware the Social Services are not the easiest to work with ( not just their fault as they are overworked and underfunded ).
I’m in my 50’s but I have a Young mind still and I don’t mind admitting quite a high sex drive ( I think it’s high because for me it’s about not just pleasuring your partner and yourself but losing yourself in the moment,a escape from your normal life 🤷‍♂️ ).
Worst part about having a high sex drive though is not actually having a Partner !.
I can’t say that I blame most Women though because, getting with a older single man who has Adult children and they are disabled is a huge ask !.
Unfortunately there aren’t many Women around who can accept that they are going to come second when it comes to my Sons !.
Hopefully one day I find someone who is willing to accept us the way we are ?.
I’m glad you are Doing ok 👍,it was a bit worrisome when you were having a Bad Day, I am one of those people who when I see someone Sad I just wanna give them a Cuddle and offer my Shoulder too.
    Anyway,another Great Video ❤. Xx

Hey, thanks for being so open and honest! I had a few chuckle moments too! Take care of yourself

    • @moffatt43
      @moffatt43 ปีที่แล้ว

@@wellbeingonwater No other way for the way we should be,if we are open and honest with everyone then it’s easier to be honest with ourselves and our emotions and feelings 🤷‍♂️.
Secrets or hiding the truth just creates negativity and problems with everything and everyone.
If you are having a bad day then admitting it to yourself and someone just helps and it’s the same with if you are feeling horny/happy/sad etc.
We shouldn’t be scared of our feelings or expressing those feelings to people….. well that’s what I think anyway 🤷‍♂️.
Say it as you see it and say it as you feel it and life is that bit easier.
I’m not saying that I don’t get lonely, because I do but being able to admit it and tell someone, just makes you feel better.
Too many people bottle everything up and unfortunately we are vessels, which if we allow ourselves to be filled up,eventually our corks will pop.
I’m glad that you have chuckles along the way, laughter and smiling is more beneficial for the Soul than people give it credit.
Smile and laugh and be happy.
There’s always someone who is worse off than us but people need to open their eyes and hearts and realise it’s not just about them in this World, unfortunately these days there is a lot of Selfishness around, people who can’t see out of their little bubble ?!!.

      Here are my helpful tips!
      Until you get it fixed
Don’t expect 100% from it. Keep to half speed if possible & avoid weeds & mud.
Change the oil a few times until there are no more metal particles. Maybe half fill your oil remover pump with diesel & use it to wash it out. Use the exact recommended oil to refill.
Check if one of the lower plugs has a magnet on it, if not you may be able to buy a replacement plug with a magnet.
Obtain a magnet on a stick & use it to fish in the gearbox for metal.
If you find magnetic flat strip (bearing cages) or balls stop using it immediately.
Start ringing round now, A new/second hand box will be a lot cheaper if you are not desperate. Find out if it needs to be exactly the same box or if others will fit, gives you more options.
Maybe a gearbox fitter would give you a discount in exchange for promotion on your channel?
Identify the bolts which will need to come out to change it. Scrape off the paint & rust especially inside hex sockets. keep them damp with WD40 until you change it,
Love your videos & good luck.

tourists are annoying, at least you don't have a fibreglass boat, they really creak and crack when they are hit by the idiots on the waterways If you do have a collission, then it's like a car, there is a requirement to give details and if damage/loss it should also be reported. No one wants their boat damaged, especially the tour opperator. As far as I see it for wind you want the heavy boat as it's less effected by wind, has more momentum so better all round. I still think you go way to fast into locks and moorings though.

    Hi Mrs. May,
I saw 👀 myself in the mirror of your words: I tend to get down on little things, compared to real misfortunes that happen not too far from home. Anyway, we’re all vulnerable, one more one less, but we’re human beings 🤷🏼.
Anyway, I noticed there are a lot of nettles and you used them for brewing some kind of “tea”. In my area we make dough and pasta with it: it gains a fantastic and delicate flavor. If you’re “interestedl” (you said it four times in a six words sentence and you laughed at it) in it and can/want to spend/waste 3 minutes, there’s a channel (in English) from a British Lady, Vicky, called “pasta grannies” which I’m a little proud of, because she jumps especially here around my hometown, where food is a serious thing (someone call the area Motor Valley and someone else call it Pork Valley 😂).
So, nettles dough ravioli with ricotta, parmigiano cheese and nettles filling.
