Your opening statement re positivity got my full attention. Been saying for years- change the conversations you have with yourself about your hair. It all starts there. Besides drying an styling my washday isn't even an hour. The time I leave my deep conditioner on and airdrying takes the time. Also its about attitude. I shampoo and then do housework while deep conditioning. If I do kids' hair, I detangle and shampoo, then deep condition while kiddo has breakfast or a snack or watch a cartoon while I make pancakes or a treat or we do a quick art project. While styling we watch something on TV. I find if kids' are distracted or I add a treat that they really enjoy ..... Something they like that only gets done on washdaymakes things are just so much easier. I don't have kids but I used to wash friends' kids hair to give them time to do some housework or run errands. So washday was a treat for kids. You know how kids are ..... I do exactly what their moms' do but they don't fuss wheb I do it ..... Simply cos I am not their parent. But I learnt I had to make things fun. And yes it takes half an hour. They spend more time playing with foam bath and bath crayons or making snacks or doing a quick craft than we actually spend on hair. And then there's this thing of copying me. So I do my hair while doing theirs and let their moms' try skipping a step when I don't do their hair ...... They will remind mom promptly what they're supposed to do. Washdays for kids can and should be fun. Do what you wished your wasdays were like as a kid. I know mine were horrible until a big cousin taught me how she did her washday and I took over my own washing and conditioning and mom only did the styling.

I have been watching everything on mute for sooo long due to my newborn that I have to say ...beautiful voice 😅❤❤❤ But she's turning 3 so I really should get back to reality some time soon 😅😅
