  • Here is one of my home made centrifuges cleaning waste motor oil. I am using a 1/3 hp 3450 rpm motor and a vfd to spin it a 6000 rpm. I am using the oil to feed my 1988 Ford 7.3 IDI.

Not sure what you are referring to. The oil you see draining out at the end is the bad oil, water and dirt particles that were trapped in the centrifuge bowl. When I first built it, I re-ran the oil to see if I could catch anything a second time around and there was nothing caught the second time. I think it does a great job and I have run hundreds of gallons in my truck without issue.

Can you post a video of how to make the centrifuge piece by piece? I understand how it works, but not how to make one. Also, what is a vfd?

Where did you get the bowl from?
I've not seen any for sale separately, only as a full package.
    Looks like a nice machine!

Well, guess that's why you should have asked before posting comments. There is no sludge on the wall. What you are referring to is oxidation of the aluminium from being used in canning. This pressure cooker is at least 30 years old. I guess I should have broke out the Mother's and cleaned it before posting the videos.
