What beautiful effects. Thank you for using so many of the brushes - many brush sets include a lot of brushes but then the tutorials stick to only using a couple of them. More of these tutorials please!
You are so right - we do need to know these techniques! I know I’d never have worked it out for myself 😊 Thank you for sharing your expertise with us, Karin. It is valuable knowledge that will not go to waste. Off to your practice worksheets for me! Cheers, Chrissie.
Hi there! Just came across your tutorials & site today (thank you TH-cam algorithm)… l have watched all of your shorts numerous times & now working my way through your main tutorial videos. Thank you so much, I am learning all over again, but somehow your technique is new & refreshing. I subscribed immediately & will be following you going forwards. More please…
So so so clever!! My knowledge of Procreate is ever-expanding thanks to your tutorials. I have your brushes and am looking forward to using them to full effect ✨
Thank you so much for your kind feedback and your support 🥰 That’s exactly why I made the tutorial - so you get to explore the brushes and their capabilities a lot more! Enjoy 🤗😘
Ahh - I was hoping someone would ask this if I didn’t explain it properly in the video 🙈 Hopefully this will explain it better: If you create a selection from a shape, it only selects the coloured pixels, and it also only selects the pixels at each respective opacity level. Since some of the shapes we are drawing are quite transparent, it would be hard to achieve the desired coloring effect with only selecting the initial layer. So by duplicating the layer a few times and then merging it, we can increase the opacity of each selected pixel and make it much easier to color it, without losing the outline of the shape. It really makes a big difference. You might want to try both options and compare the results - it will be very obvious. Sometimes you don’t want to do it - like when I omitted it for the bottom pebble, because it was already opaque enough and I didn’t want to lose the nice texture. 😊

Amazing video. Thanks
Thanks so much for your kind feedback 🥰🤗
what is purpose of making extra layers and merging before making a selection?
