We'd love to have a dealer closer as well. From our experience the best option on the U.S is Kenco outfitters in Kingston New York, they will ship anywhere. They just received a large order as well

Hi There, might be choosing this (especially it's made in Ontario) over a kayak as a family fishing vessel. Question: what would be the advantages of this one over the tramson model? Extra stability? I intend to put an electric motor on it. Thanks
It paddles easily compared to the wide transom, but still allows for a motor giving up minimal space toward the stern. Stability would be better with the wide though

Actually they are oarlock brackets for rowing, but I like the way you think and I might see if I can swap out the ones on my canoe for rod holders. Awesome question thanks
@@danlewis1885 same material however the transom is way wider which is a much thicker aluminum and more of the marine plywood. The seats on a wide are also larger. The capacity difference comes from the water displacement increase between the boat (wide) and the square which narrows similar to a pointed canoe.

They used to sell through directboats however not lately. there is an online dealer out of New York who would likely ship directly. They are called Kenco hope this helps
Most of the time they don't do anything. However in rough water or in times you might be doing something to make the canoe unstable they stabilize the boat.
Just paid for a Sportspal 14ft Wide Transom in red colour, can't wait for the summer.

Looks like a Radisson, it has the sailing mast hole in the front.
It's exactly the same as the Radisson.
Your catalog shows square stern for 13' and 15' only. The 14' in the catalog shows 58 pounds, this is 44?
The 14' square stern is 44lbs and is 13'6". The 14' wide transom is 56lbs and is 13'8"..
