I am a huge Mets fan as well but Alvarez wasn’t impressed with him he can hit HR that’s about it he’s avg defensively and he isn’t a good hitter just good at getting the ball out of the park sometimes
I'm a Mariners fan and I actually agree with Marc on this one. bwar likes Moreno but fwar has Alvarez at 2.7 and Moreno at 1.7. The difference is that bwar looks at blocking and throwing out runners while fwar puts way more value on framing. fwar also looks at quality of contact instead of just taking a player's offense at face value.

Between Bo Naylor, Yanier Diaz, Francisco Alvarez, Gabby Moreno, Rutschman, Heim, Ruiz, Raleigh and Jeffers, there is some SERIOUS young talent at the catcher position atm. Aside from Adley, I’m most excited to see what Naylor and Jeffers will do because these kids are special.

You can say JT caught a little to much, and Murphy not enough, due to having d’Arnaud as his backup, BUT that kind of proves my point. They both had pretty identical numbers hitting wise with Realmuto hitting a .252 avg 20 hr’s 63 rbi’s & Murphy hitting a .251 avg 21 hr’s & 68 rbi’s. In Realmuto’s case, one could argue his avg., slg., & ops. numbers were hampered due to being tired from playing so much. While Murphy’s numbers probably would of taken a hit too, considering (like you said) he started off so hot and than fell off as the season progressed. To be totally fair tho, with more games Murphy more than likely would of hit more hr’s, and had more rbi’s, then he did last season…

Both Pinto and Bethencourt have the 1st and 3rd best pop time in the MLB, but they ended up near the end of your list. Not to be a hater, I do enjoy your videos but feel like a players value goes beyond their offense and it would be cool to see that considered more.
