I recommend watching reviews of people that actually read instructions and know what they are doing. This guy doesn’t!

I’ve been wrestling with the same problems as this guy. I’ve used rustoleum enamel and sherwyn williams urethane enamel. In both attempts i get a very bumpy surface. The closest i can get to a quality surface is with the urethane using a 3500 gun set to around 6 and half trigger on a horizontal surface. I’m finding myself making multiple passes, creating a thick, wet layer. This layer eventually flows out and levels the bumps. However, diluting the urethane results in occasional specs of what looks like dried paint… almost like i have an improperly cleaned gun. I don’t recommend painting with the gun. Unless you like the look of a paint rolled surface. I have had the best results using aerosol paint outdoors where fumes aren’t an issue.

It's good enough for garden fence work and spraying walls but don't expect doing any furniture.

I agree. It’s the gun. Not the paint. If you increase the speed to a level where it is leaving fine enough droplets, the paint drys and leaves a gritty surface. Even if you are 4” away from the surface. If you adjust the speed downward, the droplets become huge and dry with an orange like surface. That’s fine if you’re painting a shed. It’s awful if you’re painting interior doorway trim.

Very good review glad you highlighted the surface finish quality and the orange peel effect. Basically a red flag when it comes to kitchen cabinets, chairs ,tables etc. At a guess i would suspect that it does not come with a tip for more detailed work . I noticed after you diluted the paint that it was still quite uneven which would suggest that the tip is not suitable for the above mentioned.

The problem is not on the machine. Its on how u mix the paint and what paint u use

Standing in the Ace store… making my decision now. I think I can do better elsewhere.

Best use it on water based paint. More likely watery texture. Not on thicker paint. It wont flow

It also works just as well with oil based paint cut down with paint thinner.

@David Perry that would make your paint more like thinner les paint. Water based enamel is out on market now. Easier to use and clean afterwards

2K Acryl Lack oder Pulverbeschichten. Alles andere kann man bei beanspruchten Flächen knicken.
