  • 175 countries are in the midst of tense discussions around a UN treaty to reduce plastic pollution. The second-last negotiation session wrapped up in Ottawa last week, but there are still significant hurdles to getting it done, including disagreements about whether to include a production cap.
Today, The Globe’s environment reporter Wendy Stueck joins to explain what this treaty could change, and how countries are thinking about how to balance our reliance on plastic with its effects on our environment.

Ban plastics. Straight up, just ban em. Start small, single use, in parts of packaging, etc. Fund the science looking to replace plastics. Then subsidize it if the alternative is good.
Our grandfathers and grandmothers got by just fine without plastic covering their food, we can too. I'd rather suffer my carrots or meat going bad earlier than microplastics flowing through my blood brain barrier.

What a joke. You are using plastics to make sure your self indulgent statements reach everyone on their plastics

#stopplasticpollution . Am really searching for a garbage collection job in Europe , Bermuda or anywhere in the ocean. I am really passionate regarding going green and good environment for future generations.

    Require recycle-ability.
    Then ensure it happens.
Also, do not call issues, problems.
The word problem is like magic.
Like when I say I don't want kids, you hear I don't like kids.
Which is true, but is not what I said.
I used to like kids, then my peers started making them.
Typical humans react to things because that's nature.
How do we solve the global communication issue?
    Hmm.
God is everything, in the beginning there was light, that light communicated darkness for the first time, which created a need for a law of attraction, so that heat could be communicated.
All forms of measurement(communication) change what they measure.

I haven't heard such a one sided report from you in months. The holes and unasked questions and assumptions are in almost every sentence from your guest.
A terrible interview mainly because you are not open to differing points of view.

Blah blah blah, how about pointing out a hole or unanswered question if there's so many.
