I used to live next to a railway my house used to rumble as class 37 would flying past with unbelievable long loads the power in them never ceases to amaze me 💪
We can never get bored with Class 37's May they NEVER be taken from our railways. Boy Oh Boy... 37606 could do with a good spruce-up... 😊 But hey... She is working well... Only a layer of dirt... Under it... Is Beauty... Power... and the Will... To live on...
I live in Stowmarket and see them in the siding many times a week :-) there is also a 37 and 47 railhead conditioner set, as well as 2 sets of 66's that come and go
I used to love seeing these in Newport as a kid and they are still as amazing now! We don't get them around by where I live in the South now though. We only really see newer locos like the 66s and post 66 classes. The odd older one still pops up, but never a 37. My son andI have one for our model railway and it runs the best out of all the engines we have. 37s are the best in models and in real life also!!!
I don't know if anyone can help but i grew up on 37's and no other engine comes close to the sound they produce when power is applied the double exhaust is awsome......I live In Ipswich Suffolk and was just wondering if anyone would know where I might still see these magnificent engines running as my only fix I get at the moment is watching these 37's videos on here which I love but would really like to see these engines again after nearly 40 years since I last saw one :(.....
In the words of Homer Simpson, 'When you gun the motor I want people to think the world is going to end!!!'. I think he got his wish with the Class 37, and it also certainly has 'lots of pep'. Class 37. The train designed for Homer. By some bloke. I hope the cup holder is big enough though Einstein!

Head upto Norwich. They run a regular service to Lowestoft and Yarmouth.
There's a couple of class 37's running out of crown point at Norwich daily 👍
Thanks for the information I've also heard Brundall station is a good place for 37's at the moment as they run through there to and from Norwich.....

Alot better and 'brutally nice' than say, the American ones.
It looks good in norfolk.
What is that set-up with the blue tanks doing? It looks like a steam cleaner..
I think it's weed killer
What’s that product for they spray on to the rails? Degreaser?
